King of the kingdom of Mainz(de facto protagonist)

While talking to Felix, I saw my castle, which paled compared to the western empire's castle. It might not be as great, but it is my home.

"Felix, we have finally reached home. After all of this time." I said to Felix.

"I can see that, your majesty. I am not blind," said Felix dryly.

I don't know why, but Felix's responses through the journey were getting more sarcastic. The speed of traveling between places in this world is not comparable to my world. We have to travel in carriages, but I usually used to travel in cars or trains in my old world. It took around a week due to the small amount of distance compared to my past world.

"Your majesty, there are some internal affairs you need to solve after going into the palace. The government also does not have enough money. If we start our plan, we will go bankrupt within a few months due to the upkeep of armies." said Felix with a devilish smile.

Why do I have so many money problems? Even after I become a king, I need to pay attention to spending. The USA, in my past world, is lucky. They can print money and get away with it as they are financial hegemons.

While I have to keep track of the silver and gold reserves the government has and then print money, or the mark will grow worthless.

"How are the colonies faring along, Felix."

I was interested in how the colonies were faring as they were the future of the country. Unfortunately, I can't expand much more in the Central continent as nationalism has risen, and countries will form a coalition against me.

At the same time, I need to get my raw materials from somewhere, and the best choice is a nearly unexplored continent with a small number of natives. I can immigrate my people there and 'assimilate the natives' as the European countries of my past world would put it.

"Your majesty, we have established a small colony where we found some gold. We have started more explorations in the area, but we have not reached deep inland yet. The problem is that gold has attracted other smaller countries, and we are encountering them."

Gold is essential for my plans. I need currency hegemony to replicate what the US did in my past world. But the most important thing is the natural conditions, are they suitable for long-term human life and what resources can we find.

"How are the conditions for a colony which can provide us with resources, Felix."

"Your majesty, the conditions there are excellent. The land can be cultivated easily. There is a large amount of land there which is rich in resources. The problem is that we don't have many people to populate those colonies."
