"Mr. Kossuth, we are ready to start the rebellion. We have enough weapons in Karcag. We can also quickly spread the revolution to many other places after we succeed here. Should we start it?" asked my subordinates.

Most of the soldiers we have are sons of low-level nobility who, in essence, are no different than citizens. Some retired soldiers also might fight for us after we win. There is a slim chance for us to win, but I can go into exile and escape to another country if I lose.

"Start the rebellion. We will overthrow the cruel Gretan tyrants and truly establish a free and independent Uigur nation." I said to him.

He nodded excitedly at the notion of establishing a free nation and left with more vigor than ever. He is an idealist, but idealists are the best at starting revolutions, as they are easily fooled.

Most idealists are idiots, dreaming of a free society that can never happen in reality as long as humans who are selfish are around. I am not sure whether we will form a democracy. Most countries are monarchist and might intervene if we adopt democratic ideals.

Garrisoning soldiers in Karcag.

As I was walking through the streets with my friend, I felt the atmosphere was slightly weird.

When I asked my friend, he said that he felt everything was normal. So I just passed it off as an illusion and just patroled my way through the streets.

"Hey, do you notice that there are no people on the streets." asked my friend.

I went through my memories of the evening and realized that there were no people. Usually, a few people walk around this place even though it is a slum area. It is weird that we saw no people around here. So, we went into a higher alert and started looking for any out of place.

We saw nothing out of place after walking around for a while, so we just passed it off as a coincidence. However, it was the end of our shift, so our attention span was also dying down, and we were getting impatient.

Suddenly, someone came from the back and stabbed me. After that, I saw around 5 people coming from behind with swords. They started fighting with us, but as we were outnumbered, we lost.

"We have killed most of the patrolling soldiers. We can now start the rebellion and the attack on the military base. They might get alert if they find out something is wrong. We are also rallying other areas to our cause, and we will succeed if we liberate this city."

This is a bet, a dangerous one at that, but I have to succeed. I gave him the approval to attack the military base, and he left with a satisfied look on his face.
