A teacher in a Gretan school.

As the students start leaving the class after finishing their history class, I start to think about how weird the contents were. Most of the content is beautified, for a lack of better word and are more concerned with teaching about the glory of Mainz's history than teaching actual history. As a son of a noble, I had a high education and most of it was straight to the point and was truth.

The teachers didn't beautify anything and tried to tell me the truth as much as they can. This is because their main goal was to impart knowledge to me and make sure I learn as much as I can. But the syllabus here does not encourage that but focuses more on making the kingdom of Mainz look like an united country. I fell like the reason history class was created was not to impart knowledge to my students but to make sure, everyone feels like they are part of the kingdom of Mainz and making sure to glorify the royal family. The fact that all students are in a boarding school and it is unofficially discouraged to speack Roccean and it is encourged to speak Gretan. The final goal is probably to make the students speak Gretan and ethnic integration

Well, it dosen't really matter to me and I am in no mood to get in the way of the government. I heard that a person refused to encourage the Gretan language and tried to use his influence to avoid getting convicted. The personal intelligence agency of the king stepped in and executed around 30 people in public.

As I was thinking about the goals of the government, more students started to come into class. I looked at my schedule and looked at what subject I am assigned to teach today. It was Gretan. There are only three subjects and there is military/physical training in the morning and evening. Well, today's class will be easy as I am only teaching to 7 years olds and the subject isn't that hard. There are some Rocceans here accounting for about 40% of the class that sometime's need help to translate but the requests seem to be declining in number as the year goes on.

As I was teaching the class, I noticed that one of my students has stopped speaking Roccean and is now speaking fluent Gretan. Until a few weeks ago, he could only speak broken Gretan as he came from the countryside and there weren't many Gretan speakers there. He usually asks me to transalate some words but for the past few weeks, he stopped asking me and has started to speak Gretan.

After class, I called out to him to stay in class for a few more minutes as the next period was lunch and he could stay for some time.

"Did you already learn Gretan, why aren't you requesting me to transalate for you anymore. Is there any problem." I ask him with a curious expression.

"My friends are mostly speaking Gretan and all of the signs in school is in Gretan. All the teachers are also speaking Gretan so I also started speaking Gretan to be more like my friends." he answered to me.

I gave him permissio to leave and wondered about who created this method. I had in fact heard of forcing kids to learn another language as the Kildarians sometimes do that but it is usually forced. We are not using any force but the children are adapting by themself. It is quite intresting, I will probably investigate about that later.

I am also really hungry and the food here is quite good and filling especially for the students.
