The Main Character(king of the kingdom of Mainz)

"Your majesty, the second battle of Bulgaria is starting." said Falkenhayn, the newly appointed minister of army. The old one made certain bad choices in life and had to be disposed of to ensure the stability of the realm. I am sure that he is happily living his life below us.

"What are the odds for each side in this battle." I asked.

"It seems like the 1*coaliton forces might win against the Rostok empire but if the Bulgarian guerillas start attacking the supply lines, it might change." he said

"Your majesty, it would be better for us if the Rostok empire wins the battle and put's pressure on the Coaliton forces as this will lead the Kildarians and the Lombardians to invest more in the battlefield. This will reduce their supression of us and let us unify a part of the Gretan region. At the same time, this will reduce their chances of intervening in the Empire's future civil war and guarantee us the victory." said Conrad.

"If the Rostok empire wins, they will start threatening our eastern border and we will have greater defense pressure to contend with. I believe that we should remain neutral in this conflict and make sure the Rostok empire lose. The battle will go on for a while and by that time, we will be unify at the least a part of the Gretan region. The Kildarian won't be able to intervene in the civil war for a short while and we will be able to acheive our goals by then." said Hermann.

The Rostok empire is not strong. It is a country still in the feudal era and it needs us to reduce it's national defence pressure. Even if you have hundreds of thousands of men, if you can't arm them they are no good.

"We will support the Rostok empire in this battle. Start sending more arm shipments to the Bulgarian guerillas and support them. Make sure to give the Rostok government good arms to fight against the coalition forces. If the coaltion forces win, our plan will go bankrupt." I said that to them.

They nodded and stopped arguing. I always wonder why they never offer any counter measures to my orders. I probably will have to ask Felix about it. Felix usually does not comes to cabinet meetings as he is my personal butler and the information I recieve from him are gained by my personal spies and are not given by the government so the cabinet minister do not usually come to my personal debriefings.

"How is the Southern front of the Rostok empire going." I asked Falkenhayn.

"It seems like no one is really fighting a lot in that front. Most of the causualties are from disease and there is an uproar in Kildarian public about how they are sending their soldiers to die in the middle of nowhere. The Rostok government is reorganizing their troops and is preparing a counterattack and they will probably acheive their goal but the coaliton forces have acheived their strategic goal which is distracting Rostok. This led their forces in Bulgaria to have a higher chance of winning." said Falkenhayn.

Disease is always one of the biggest killers in war. In this era, there is no good medicine or a dedicated medical unit to save soldiers. There might be for officers in some countries but medicine in this era came with a lot of side effects and were typically not safe. I might have to establish a medical unit in the army. I probably will consult Falkenhayn afterwards and recieve his opinion.

"Don't interfere in the southern front. We want the Rostok empire to have as much casualties as possible."

They nodded and the meeting was over. After they left my room, Felix came into my room and started making some coffee as I like it.

"Felix, why does no one question my orders and give me a counter arguement."

Giving a counter arguement is really important as it will maximize the chances of there not being a failure.

"Your majesty, what happend to the former army minister." asked Felix.

As I was about to respond to him about how he was disposed of and sent below, I noticed that he was staring at me and that his words were sarcastic. Well, it fits into my motto. "Make the people love you and make the politicians fear you."
