"We have lost the battle of Bulgaria. There is pressure on us from the public to end the war soon or withdraw our troops. What is the plan." I asked my cabinet.

"If the kingdom of Mainz stops supporting the Rostok empire, defeating them would be quite easy as they would collapse due to the lack of funds. I must ask, what is the foreign ministry doing letting an alliance between the Rostok empire and the kingdom of Mainz to form. The government dosen't fund the army as much as the other countries and you expect us to defeat them." said the minister of army trying to deflect blame.

It is true that the Rostok empire will collapse if the kingdom of Mainz stops funding their army and it is the fault of the foreign ministry in letting an alliance between the Rostok empire and the kingdom of Mainz form in the first place. At the same time, the government is not funding the army as much as the navy as we are an island country so we can't expect the army to win with less funding than the enemy.

As I turned with a questioning look to the foreign miniser, he said.

"We can't have stopped the alliance between the kingdom of Mainz and the Rostoke empire as the kingdom rose quite suddenly and the new king is no idiot either. He looks like he has a plan and he dosen't seem keen on allying with us. He is a pretty cunning fellow who is proactive and dosen't wait for others. Look at the current war, they haven't paid a single casualty but have recieved a lot of land. The army has the help of the Lombardians and the Karmanites but is still losing." said the foreign minister.

They started arguing for a while as the finance minister and the 2*admiralty is sipping tea happily watching them quarrel. The finance minister has done his job by providing enough money for all operation while the admiralty has succesfully blockaded the coast of the Rostok empire. The only way they can now trade is through the kingdom of Mainz as we are not at war with the kingdom of Mainz yet. Thank god the kingdom of Mainz has not exerted it's full force, if it had done that there would be no chance for us to win.

"Stop quarelling among yourself, minister of army do you have a plan to defeat the Rostok empire."

"We do in fact have a plan to defeat the Rostok empire. Our plan is to land on their southern coast with the help of the navy. A lot of of strategic materials are on the southern coast and they are mostly guarded by second rate troops with corruption among their officers and bureaucrats. If we can open up another front, we can overextend them and make them retreat. Their southern coast also produces most of their grain, if we could damange some of it we can further damge their 3*foreign exchange."

This plan seems pretty feasible and it could overextend the Rostok empire while harming their economy.

"Why are their so many strategic materials in the south and on the coast."

"Their plan was to transport the strategic materials using ships to the war zone but they couldn't due to the naval blocaked we imposed on them." the admiralty answered.

"Start making preparations for the plan and try to get help from the Lombardians."
