"Your majesty, the Rostok empire have started their attack on Wallachia and Moldavia. They are giving the ocuupation to us as promised but they are taking the young men of the place as human shields. If we want to stop them, we can so should we." asked Felix.

So the Rostok empire is taking young men from the newly conquered territories to serve as human shields. I am honestly fine with that. In fact I want that to happen. The logic here is that the newly conquered territories are of different culture than my country and will be resistant towards my integration. If most of the young men of the newly conquered territories die, the population will ineviatbly decrease and the locals will become a minority. If that happens, we can also use intermarriage to integrate the new population which is more efficient. At the same time, public opinion will scold the Rostok empire not me because I am technically not conducting a genocide. The Rostok empire will carry all the blame and I will be entirely innocent. Well, as innocent as a king can be.

"Let them take the young men from the newly conquered territories. We don't need them and they will just be a hassle to the kingdom. But make sure that they don't do any damage to the infrastructure, we need that as a base to build more roads. Don't charge them, let them take the people for free." I said to Felix.

"But we will not get much economic benefit if all the young people die. In fact, territory will lose money for some time so I think it is better to stop the Rostok empire." said Felix.

People in this era don't really know the dangers of there being two or more cultures in a country. I know the history of my past world and how dangerous having multiple cultures in one country can be. Espescially if the people of a certain culture don't want to be in your country. It will just be a hidden danger.

"It dosen't matter. The territory will start to gain money after some time. It is better to remove the hidden dangers first and then start developing. The most important thing to consider is the stability of the realm." I said to him and he nodded.

A king can only stay on his throne if the country is stable. I want to expand the country because I am ambitious and I want more power. But if I stay like this and not involve myself in international politics, the country will be fine. A king can only stay on his throne if the country is stable.

This is what I feel meant Louis XIV the sun king meant when he said l'état, c'est moi. A kings fate is tied to his country. If a country is prosperous, the king will have good control but if a country is in ruins the king will be behaded. Political absoloutism just dosen't mean you have all the power in your country, it means that you have to shoulder all of the consequences of your countries downfall. Thats one of the reason I have a parliment, if anything bad happens to the country they will shoulder all of the consequences even though the parliment dosen't have any real power.
