"Your majesty, the results of the negotiation has come and it seems the Lombardians have ceded some land but have not given any war reperations. The Lombardian kingdom is in chaos and the king has abdicated. The republic has been reinstated it seems that Charles the third is participating in these elections." said Felix.

"What, the De Valois have gotten a resurgence. Which great power is supporting him, the Kildarians?"

"Yes, your majesty the Kildarians are supporting him and he is likely to win."

Charles the great of the De Valois basically declared war on all of the west and won a few times and basically achieved world hegemony. He is feared and respected by all of the west. He was mainly defeated by the Rostok empire. Charles the third is the nephew of the Charles the great. He probably wants to become a king by using the elections and seizing power.

The factions in the kingdom of Lombardy is extremely intresting, there are three royal families competing for the throne, they being the De Borgoune, De Valois and the De Blois. The royalists were more powerful in Lombardy but they always were fighting amongst themselves so the republicans held the upper hand now.

"Pay close attention to the election in Lombardy but don't try to manipulate it." I said to Felix. If you interfere in other countries elections, you would be heavily retaliated in this era even when they are on different sides of political spectrum. Unlike a country in the modern era who was interfered with by many different countries but no actions were taken except condemming them. The taboos in this era are really different, aren't they.

A servant came to near Felix and whispered something to him. I always wondered why the servants spoke the bare minimum to me and sometimes would shoot quick glances at my back, truly concerning.

"Your majesty, the minister of finance wants to meet you to discuss about the finances of the kingdom."

"Let him in. I wonder Felix, why do the servants don't speak to me unless absoloutely necessary and I sometimes feel like they shoot glances at my back." I asked to Felix in a wondering manner.

Felix looked away so that I could not see the emotion in his face and said:"Your majesty, in your one year of kingship you have killed thousands of people and there are rumors that you have killed a princess. The people respect and love you but at the same time they also fear you thinking that you have terrible rage so they are always on their toes near you. Your reputation outside the country is even worse as there are rumors that you are a massacrer and in fact there have been nobles from other countries protesting in private about your conduct."

"Don't praise me like that, Felix. I might just get a big head." I said as I started blushing. He shot me a disparaging look but I ignored it. I thought to myself about the characters who are evil overlords. I also read on the internet that having a clear goal is necessary for your advancements. I thought that becoming a world hegemon was my goal but I just realized that it was just the prerequisite to do anything in life. I should make a goal in my life, maybe becoming an evil hegemon. Well, as evil as I can become without losing the world hegemony.
