"Your majesty, the head bureaucrat has been killed" said my butler

In my old world, killingis condoned by society and can be punishable by the law but I think that it is extremely important for a king to be no stranger to killings. Alexander the great of Macedon had destroyed the city state of Thebes and sold all of it's population into slavery. Ceaser had committed genocides in Gaul(France) and caused a civil war and established a dictatorship. Yet they are still called as some of the greatest people in history. I might not become a great person but I certainly want to lead my country to prosperity and reform it.

"My lord, the representative of count Philips are here and they are asking for an audience with you"

"Let them in, we want to see what their terms are"

The representatives of Count Phillips were here. They looked extremely arrogant and irritated I presume due to the fact that I made them wait. I didn't like their attitude due to the fact that they were in front of the king, and young as I was I deserved some respect befitting my position.

"Count Phillips orders you to stop your purge of the bureaucrats and maintain the status quo" said the representative

I was extremely surprised that a lowly count had the guts to order a king. I thought to myself that I definitely had to change the Nobility and establish military or a more specific term the Junker aristocrats.

"How can a lowly count order their liege, a king" I asked in an angry tone

He still looked haughty and said "The count has a lot of influence among the nobility, so you have to pay attention to your words when speaking to me"

"Felix, remove him out of the court and convict him on charges of Lese Majeste"

The representative had paled considerably and started to say that he was the representative of a count and that I had no rights of convicting him without seeking the permission of the count. The knights came him and took away and he was taken away while saying that the count will take revenge for him.

"What has happened to this kingdom Felix that a count believes that he can order around the king without any consequences"

"Your majesty, your father and grandfather were weak willed rulers which led the nobility to believe that they can do anything"

"Okay, never mind that, how is the counts land"

He said that it was mostly hills and forests with a few iron mines that have not been exploited yet. I thought for a while and decided to arrest the count on charges of treason which will give me a justified reason to take his land. I was planning to start the weaponmaking industry in this country using a front company which the royal family controls from behind the scenes. I wanted to make a nationalistic economy which the royal family will control.
