《Idle Gaming In Another World》Chapter 15 : Meister Dungeon

Early in the morning, Aozora is just done eating her breakfast along with the sword princess and the Chaos Child. She is going to send them off to their way.
"Be careful out there."
"Don't worry Milady, we will come back soon!" Austina directed a bright smile while Nahmat just stares somewhere.
"Okay. See you later."
With that, the two left the place. She takes a moment to look at their receding backs before going back to her room.
The Meister Dungeon is a D Rank Dungeon where adventurers can train and strengthen themselves. This is also where most E Rank Adventurers comes to start their career as an Adventurer.
E Rank Adventurers are only limited to the first floor, as per guild regulations. This is to ensure that they won't get themselves killed.
The first floor of this dungeon only produces slimes or goblins. They rarely appear in groups of two or three, making it safe for newbie parties to familiarize themselves on fighting monsters.
If someone wanted to proceed to the second floor, they have to be D Rank, or join a party with a D Rank Adventurer. They should have a minimum of four people in their party. They can go down when they meet this requirements.
Being a two person group and not in any official party, the two are limited to the first floor of the dungeon. They can't go pass the second floor unnoticed because there are guild staffs standing guard in that place.
Austina is just roaming on the dungeon with a hop on her steps. Her sword sheathed and nary a worry in her face. Nahmat is a different matter. Her steps are measured, her eyes glancing cautiously and her shoulders tense.
'It is alive!' Her eyes narrowed. Her instincts focused on the threat.
"Uh, Nahmat. Why are you so tense? It's not like this place is dangerous...?"
She looks at the princess, her tenseness not abating. "This is dangerous. The place is alive." She said so bluntly.
"It's not though." She gestures to their side.
There are many newbie adventures along with them, going around this room and hunting monsters without any pattern. They are just a mess, like chickens racing to their coop.

The scenery is a total opposite of a dangerous place. The people in this floor are too energetic feel threatened at all.
"Come on. Don't be so tense!" She sounds so reassuring, giving her a bright smile.
Nahmat slowly nods though her grip on her blade is still as strong.
The two of them roamed the dungeon, occasionally encountering monsters and defeating them with ease. As the receptionist said, this dungeon is very easy. A single goblin or slime didn't hold any candle to their prowess.
Austina moves forward, slicing through the goblin that came to her sights. The goblin has been cut in half.
The only difference about the monsters here and the monsters on the outside is that their corpses vanishes after their death. Unlike the stray monsters on the outside where their corpses are intact and will slowly degrade overtime.
Austina looks at the tooth that the goblin had dropped. She took it and put it in her pouch.
Dungeon monsters will drop some items that may or may not be related to them when they died. This is one of those treasures that an adventurer can loot.
She turned to Nahmat who seems to have raised her hand and absorbed some crimson energy out of the vanishing corpse. Her curiosity is piqued.
"I've been very curious since awhile ago. What is that?" She pointed at the orb of red on top of the little girl's palm.
"Life forces." Is the simple answer she gave as she clenches her fist. The red orb above her palm vanishing along with it.
Then they continue on their trek to this dungeon.
They are not really walking aimlessly, more like going around. The first floor is pretty small, only 2 km² in length.
As they got to the familiar corner, they saw something new within it. A wooden chest is located on that corner, when awhile ago nothing is in there.
"Wow! So it really makes treasures out of nowhere!" Austina exclaims as she goes near the chest.
"Stop!"
She flinches before turning to her companion in confusion. Nahmat just passes her by and goes straight to the wooden chest. Then she kicks it. The chest tumbled out and opened for a bit. When it opened, something shoots out of it, which was quickly caught by her hand.

Austina managed to see it. It is a pointed bolt. Something that can be equipped on a crossbow.
"Oh. You have sharp senses!" She claps in admiration.
The Chaos Child snaps the bolt with her hands and throws it out of the way before moving forward and kneeling in front of the wooden chest. She grabs it the fallen over chest, fix it's position properly, before looking inside it. Austina also peeks through behind her.
There are two gems, a single iron dagger, and five pieces of silver coins inside it. Looking carefully, she can't see any mechanism inside that can possibly cause that bolt to shoot out of it's interior.
She glances at the walls of the dungeon and narrowed her eyes. 'Is it trying to kill us?' Her hand grips her blade a little bit too strongly, causing an audible sound of compression to occur.
"Austina." The princess who seems unaware of her dilemma looks at her with a tilt of her head. "I don't like this place."
Austina stops and just stares at her for a moment before she slowly nodded. "Okay. Let's leave."
After taking their loots, they leave the dungeon with Austina looking concerned at her companion and Nahmat just gripping her blade.
They came back to their summoner after selling off all the loots they got on the dungeon to the Adventurer's Guild.
Unlike the stone and brick houses on the surroundings, Aozora's apartment truly stands out. It is a lot larger, and it's lights are LEDs instead of the typical torches or lanterns.
Nahmat didn't know what really happens. Aozora honestly confessed that this place hasn't existed since then. Though, Nahmat have some recollection of it whenever she roams the city. She thinks Aozora is just tired at that time.
Austina knocks on the door, and there Aozora lies. They entered her room before she closes it.
They move to her living room and make themselves comfortable on their seats before Austina started telling their day. Aozora also sits and is just nodding along with her words.
Nahmat's mind wanders as she looks at the summoner. Aozora is an enigma to her.
She is capable of summoning someone from another world, and it seems like she becomes stronger whenever her summons defeats someone. She didn't know how it happens, but it might have something to do with her ability to summon someone.
Aozora is mysterious. Even when she threatened her with her bloodlust, she barely reacted and just flinches. Despite telling her that she didn't have any experience to violence, her outlook seems detached. Like she is hearing some unwanted rumors.
The girl can feel fear. She can sense it within her. Though most of her emotions felt flat, like she is not really there.
"Oh. Nahmat seems to be uncomfortable inside the dungeon. So I think I will be going there alone tomorrow." Austina said while looking apologetic to her Master.
Austina is also one mystery with her. She's a young girl who seems to be solely devoted to Aozora. She heard her occasionally slipping out that she is not really related to her and that she has been summoned just like her. She is curious why this girl is so loyal to the teenage girl.
"What's wrong? Is there something in that dungeon?" She looks at the summoner who is looking at her, her stare seems inquisitive and cold.
"It is alive." She responded in a blunt manner. She didn't want to mince her words. It is unnecessary.
"I see."
Despite the weird straightforward attitude of the teenage girl, Nahmat also appreciates it. She is not really an expert of double meanings and long winded talk. Unlike Austina who loves talking about mundane and random things, Aozora is a lot more preferable.
She might have a weird quirk of staring in the air and poking something in it, but the girl is not inherently evil. She is just looking at everyone without feeling good or ill.
'This is the one who took me to this Paradise.' She casts her eyes down. 'How is Anmai now, I wonder?' The image of the smiling blonde girl came to her mind.
The day ends without anything special happening.

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.
