《Idle Gaming In Another World》Prologue

Kamigawa Aozora, a sixteen year old student on the Chiba Ward. She have glasses on, and have an appearance that is suited for those bookish person. She is a pretty girl that if she was put in a magazine, many photographers would want to pick her up.
Though, unlike her appearance suggest, her eyes are glued to her phone, her hands furiously poking it in succession.
On the screen of her smartphone is a game with a large cookie in it and a lot of small cookies popping up on the screen. On the upper screen, she can see a ridiculous set of numbers in it, shortened to just 222.345 Dc Cookies.
She is playing an incremental type of game, a game that involves increasing the values at an exponential rate. Most of the time, there are no goals, only that they should play until they get bored of it.
This girl is addicted to this kind of game.
To give an example, she have 200+ of idle games installed in her smartphone, both online and offline. It doesn't matter if the game is good or not. All of it are installed on her phone.
If someone ask her why she is addicted to it, she would not be able to answer truthfully. She vaguely recalls it is about her first idle game, but that's all there is to it.
Currently, she is in a bus going straight to her school. The bus is just riding on it's standard speed, and most of the passengers along with her are just talking normally, or just sleeping.
The driver is barely paying attention to the street, likely because of the open roads when he saw a speeding truck on his side window. That speeding truck is moving in a zigzag pattern, which causes the driver to widen his eyes. His hand unconsciously swerved the wheels, but it seems like it was too late.
The speeding truck hits them sideways, and everyone on that side died of shock, with some having a heavy concussion. Those on the other side hit their head on the windows, with some shooting through it to fall through the streets.
The girl focused on her game is one of those people launched out of the window. Unlike the others, she hits the window of a boutique shop. Her body passing through it in a wrong way and her lower half hitting the remaining broken glass still held on the seams.
She made a gasp, surprised and shocked at the sudden feeling. She tried to move her head but felt like it was paralyzed. Her eyes glances through every direction, until it pointed to her stilled hands holding her phone.
Bloodied and on the verge of losing her consciousness, she still tries to move her finger. Her eyes shedding a single tear. 'Ah.... how sad. I wanted to play more!' Despite her indignation, her sight slowly darkens.

The bright sunlight have steered her to consciousness. She slowly stood up in a daze as she take into her surroundings.
There are trees, trees, and more trees on the distance. The sound of the insects buzzing, and a distant sound of howls resounds on this greenery.
"Strange... I recall being in a bus..." She looks at her surroundings, as she did a contemplating gesture. Then she unconsciously put her hand on her pocket, only to touch nothing. "Wait, where is it!?" She turned her head frantically. "Oh no, my phone is missing!" She wailed, despair filling her eyes.
Despite the sudden shift of her environment, she still thinks about her phone.
As she wailed while feeling like it was the end of the world, a panel that looks like those typical status bars on RPG games appeared in her vision.
But instead of the usual thing where she can see the HP and MP, along with her statuses, what she saw are the list of her games that she recalls being in her smartphone. Below each of the game titles are the word Free in it.
She stares at it for awhile before looking around her. The status panel follows where her vision is pointing. She tried blinking her eyes and even pinching herself but it seems like the floating panel is still there.
She have decided that she wasn't hallucinating at all.
"Wait..." She muttered to herself as she realized something. "Is this that popular thing on the internet. That Isekai thing!?"
Due to being addicted to Idle Games, with most of those games being influenced by the anime culture, she have an awareness to that kind of thing.
She watches some anime. Though those are just anime adaptations of the games that she have played.
"Then, this might be my cheat ability. Which means..." She looks at the sky.
She doesn't see anything different at all. There are no esoteric something or some sort of flying reptile that passes through in the sky. Still, she felt that this can't be anything other than...
"I am in another world."
All of this was just too absurd if it's not the explanation. There is also another explanation like she was kidnapped and was put in this island with some sort of implants so she will have a delusion of seeing her status, or this could be a very realistic dream. There is also a morbid thought inside her that this is her brain making this up as a final dream for her before she truly dies, because she remembers dying in a bus accident.
She shook her head out of that thought before she focuses her attention to the list of game titles in this weird floating panel.
She decided that she will just pick one randomly to see if it was working at all.

She poke the list randomly and have selected a certain game titled Princess Saga.
'Princess Saga huh...'
She remembers that it was an Online Idle RPG Game. The premise of the game being that powerful girls called as the Princesses were summoned by the Protagonist (The Player) to fight against the dark forces called as the Rebels.
This have a Gacha aspect but the idle aspect was also there. Specifically, the idle aspect was on the battle screen. The characters automatically fights through the hordes of enemies and they proceed after defeating that wave. The player can level the characters they have so they can finish a wave much faster.
Though if all of the characters were defeated, they will be back to the start of the stage that the player chooses.
This game was pretty popular in her world that it got it's own 12 episode anime.
She have played this a lot when she first installed it. Being an addict to anything that is an Idle Game, she have played this for a long time until she collected all of the characters.
Her only regret is not being able to see it's updates anymore.
She saw the title screen of the Princess Saga game. She pokes at it and then it loaded for a moment before quickly changing into the home screen.
She recalled that there are many functions to this game. And being an Online Game, it also have a friend list and a global chat.
But something is weird. She saw that the global chat and the friend list are missing.
She also noticed that her account name was her real name and the avatar is her real facial picture.
She doesn't even use her real name nor her real face when playing an Online Game.
".... Well, that's just a minor matter. What I need right now is those freebies!"
Princess Saga always gives a free roll for newbie players.
So she was going to use that free roll to get a character.
Well, she knows who she was going to roll because the first free roll was already defaulted to one character.
Going to the Gacha Section, she saw that she have a free draw as a newbie. This makes her happy as she quickly poke the free roll option.
After a bit of waiting and some fanfare, it was finally done. A hidden figure of a girl appeared and below that figure, there are three stars that occurs on it. After those stars occured, the screen flash for an instant before the figure shows it's appearance.
"Master, I'm here to aid you in your battle!"
Austina Schloegn ~ Princess Knight (★★★)
Along with that speech is the introduction of that character.
"As expected, she was the true starter after all."
Austina Schloegn. The Second Princess of the Schloegn kingdom. A blonde haired princess with a cheery personality, and loves heroes and adventurers. She is the starting character that every player can get.
Without getting excited that much, she exited the Gacha Section and go to the Expedition.
Well, she would have picked it but she can't due to it not existing at all.
"Wait what!?" Her eyes widened with that shout. "How can I operate without it!?" Her eyes sharpened, and her teeth grit closed.
She goes to the settings and pick the Quit Game option.
"Well, if I can't even play it properly, then I'll just pick another game." She operated the mysterious panel, looking through the other list of games before poking something.
[Insufficient EXP]
Her eyes widened at that message and she quickly looks carefully at the game title.
Below that game title, instead of the word Free that she remembered seeing, it now displays 1,000 EXP.
"What!?" Her mind tries to process this, before she take a careful look at the panel.
Below it, she can see the EXP and the number 0 besides it.
"EXP. That means Experience Points right?" She spoke those unconsciously, her mind swirling in thoughts. 'Which means...!?'
She looks around her surroundings. The sound of howls and grunts at the distance became more pronounced. Her attention has been forcefully put on her situation.
".... I am screwed."
She knows it. There is nothing she can do about it. She haven't experienced any situation that will endanger her life. She is not fit. She is also not really someone who is good at survival. The only skill she can boast of is her idle game skills.
Then she pump her fist into her palm, a decision has been made. "Well, if I was going to die anyway, I'll just do whatever I want." She shrugs before sitting on a comfortable shade.
She operated the the mysterious panel, and then opened the Princess Saga game again.
She looks at the Character Section and saw the image of her character.
When she tried poking it, she saw some options with it. Her eyes widened when she saw something.
"Is there a Deploy option in this game?" She thought aloud as she picks it.
Light suddenly occurs, causing her to cover her eyes with her arms. After awhile, she took a moment to open her eyes and slowly lower her arms after noticing the brightness being gone.
She took note of her surroundings, only to notice a tall woman kneeling at her in a knightly manner.
"Milady, I am Austina Schloegn, the one who will aid you in your journey."
The woman bowed at her deferentially.
This surprises Aozora. She can only stare at the girl absentmindedly as she thought.
'Seriously!?'

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

RELINQUISH
Sometimes I wonder why the world isn't decorated with something as cool as magic... Why can't we manipulate the laws of the world? Why does the story about God sound too fake to be believed? Why the hope for this world to be saved from the bottom of everyone's heart can never be fulfilled... Then I landed on each conclusion from each of those questions... That humans are the most cunning, meanest and stupidest creatures who are most desperately expected to not have any power including magic itself. That it is not God that we should believe in, because they themselves do not believe in how disgusting human nature really is. That everyone's hope is not for the world to be saved, but for the world to be destroyed in order to save their own selves. That the world from the beginning, was not meant to be saved... (I frequently revise and update the use of sentences in the previous chapters without disturbing the original storyline. so sometimes it takes me a little longer to publish a new chapter.) I have the same novel posted on another website (Webnovel.com , creativenovels.com) with the same name (RELINQUISH)
