《The First Primordial [DROPPED]》Chapter 5 - Mana and setting up shop

Time passes while I continue to figure out magic and mana, with the main reason being the fact that I am not going anywhere outside this mana heavy zone until I can defend myself from whatever was past that lava ravine, with the second reason being that I am a little too motivated to beat the floating diamond at its own game.
The most annoying thing is that I can't exactly tell how much time has passed because the light in this world doesn't change and there is nothing to tell how long I have been here. Neither can I figure out what is causing the light in the first place but at least it won't change anytime soon. Though it is hard to care as I have no need to tell the time either being alone with barely anything around.
I am not really struggling with the being alone part for some reason though, whether it is because of what I am or because of my annoyingly hard to reach past is still unknown, but I push on, as I literally have an eternity to figure it out and learning magic is much easier. Speaking of magic it apparently is intrinsic to mana, with one only working when the other is involved but what is making it so difficult is that even though I have quite an impressive connection to it as I learned early on. I still need to know what I want it to do and what I want it to be, not even mentioning all the complexity of turning an invisible energy into something real and tangible, it is like trying to turn wood or wool into a copper electric circuit.
Though it does become much easier when I combine my mana into the mix it also makes it harder to control because instead of just one source you have two independent sources, but progress is being made as right now I am trying to simply make the mana visible.
One does not simply make mana visible apparently, though it is simple and easy, I have to condense it considerably just to make a small floating ball of bluish-gold mana and to get it to the pure white form takes such a sheer amount of mana to be compressed it is honestly a little scary so I don't do it for risk of not controlling it properly and turning into nothingness.
Along with manipulating the mana in the environment I found out I can also manipulate the mana in objects itself, like the plants. It also works on the ground for some reason. Does literally everything have this energy in it? I have yet to find a single thing without mana in it.

Moving on, I am currently walking towards the middle of the mana field, it was bigger than I originally thought and the mana keeps increasing. Lucky for me though that the mana still hasn't reached what it was like in the White Realm so unless there is a gigantic spike in the mana I can stay indefinitely, the reason for me walking is the fact that the amount of mana plants have been increasing the closer I get, with trees even showing up every now that, instead of a mixture of blue and white in leaves, have full light blue leaves with occasional neon white leaves decorating it that glow with light and mana.
The amount of mana I sense from it is surprisingly high so I decide to use my manipulation to bring it towards myself and inspect it. Having a closer look it by far has the most amount of mana I have seen so far being definitely as pure as the snow covering everything but a leaf. Instead, knowing how hard it is to get mana that pure, I decided to keep it in one of my pockets in my clothing. Though I have been sleeping in the mana snow and not been gentle with my clothing, it still seems quite clean and fresh so I am quite happy with myself right now.
If I can move the leaves using mana, can I move myself with mana?
The thought makes me facepalm, why haven't I thought of that yet. Choosing a destination in a clear path about 10 meters away, I close my eyes and start concentrating on moving my mana and body over there, noticing the movement of my mana signifying the spell working, I feel something new happen and it works, kind of.
I open my eyes and I am in the destination I chose.. But I didn't move?
What?
My eyes open wide as I look around, I did it, but not the way I wanted. Why is it so hard to just float, I managed to teleport instead of floating, the hell.
This time I close my eyes and just focus on moving my mana and body about a meter in the air above myself and make sure to stay there when I think about it and start using my mana to get there. Again I feel something new happen, the same feeling as before when I open my eyes and see I am a meter above the snow and floating.

"Yes!" I exclaim before I lose focus on the spell and fall the meter to the floor with a bit of a crash.
Happy with my success in finally beating the floating diamond shaped rocks I continue walking towards the middle of the snow field with a wide grin on my face.
Sometimes my genius is... it's almost frightening.
"Screw floating rocks." I mumble, still with a grin on my face I finally reach what I think is the middle of the snow field. A lake of glowing water is sitting in the middle of the field that is about 100 meters in diameter in a perfect circle. It is mostly light blue but a noticable golden sheen is visible from it covering the surrounding snow in a gold light, similar to what the lava ravine did but in a more peaceful way.
The view from the lake and the giant spires, cliffs, and floating diamonds in the distance give this such an impactful view that I simply sit down near the lake and watch the view with a slight smile on my face.
Having spent a while relaxing, I decide that this a place better than most to just go to sleep and rest in perfect serenity for the first time in this world of mine and lay down, closing my eyes still with a smile.
Again I don't know how long I slept for, but I do know it was longer than most of the times I have and I awoke feeling better than usual, already improving my mood for the busy day to come. Stretching my arms I take my time to get up, again looking at the view I decide it is time to finally finish why my mind told me to do what feels like ages ago, get shelter, food, and water with me finally able to get two out of the three things that my memories said was important.
Walking over to the lake I get a closer look at the incredible light blue and gold water, the water itself almost shines while I smell something. Usually everything just smelled like plants or the weird mana scent that I found out mana has, while the water itself here smells like something never smelled before and it feels so good to stimulate a sense after so long.
It smelled like fresh water but with a mix of the standard mana scent which combined into a warm and bubbly feeling like drinking a nice soda, lured by the smell I cautiously put my finger into the water and am happy to find that it gives yet another warm feeling but more tingly than bubbly this time as a general feeling of gentle comfort starts moving through my body from my finger.
This time I scoop some water into both my hands and bring it closer to observe it closer, the warm comfort spreads over me like a comfy blanket making my body feel rejuvenated even though I didn't feel tired. Bringing it closer still I move it to my face and take a sip being quickly overwhelmed by the feeling spreading from inside my mouth, throat and stomach as it scrubs clean any discomfort left in my body making me feel a state of pure bliss as it even starts affecting my mind. My worries, pain, and frustration melt away and are left with nothing but a faint memory of hardship making my body, mind and even soul feel better in every possible way.
I finish the rest of the water held in my hands as the feeling of comfort stays even after the water is gone, now instead radiating from within my very core to every cell in my body.
After standing there for a few hours with my eyes shut, a few slight tears fall from my eyes from the pure euphoria in my bones that I had no idea I needed as badly as I apparently did as even after the few tears stopped I still had a permanent smirk on my face as this feeling would definitely stick with me for years to come.
Turning around with new found enthusiasm and energy, I start clearing a patch of snow for where I will live for now, I will experience this for as long as I can as I finally know why getting water and shelter was so important in the beginning if this was what it was like.
