《Re:elemental The Greatest Spark [Hiatus]》Chapter 14) Coming On Over

The Hisnap's walls lay before us, stretching further than the eye could see, even from miles away its thick tall walls stood proud, with each passing step the walls gradually grew taller and taller until finally stopping at 120 feet.
The thick stone walls blocking our path we stood there in silence.
"Hey Legna what if I..."
"We're not fucking blowing it up"
"...I was going to say..."
"No we aren't going to in through the front door either retard"
"...we climb over it"
"Don't be a stupid cunt there's hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the walls and even if we manage to get past them their magic cannons can easily shred us out of the skies before we even reach the ground"
"So? I'm a fucking Hydragon I could deal with them and we can damage the cannons before we drop or are you afraid of a few big bad knights..."
"Go do it bitch but I'm not going to get dragged into this"
Slowly creeping up towards the wall I carefully inserting my claws, wedged inside the rock securely I slowly hoist my large body up the wall, slowly inching myself towards the top of the battlements.
"Hey there's something climbing the wall!" A scream is heard from above us before a few heads pop over the side.
"HOLY SHIT ITS A FUCKING HUGE LIZARD! QUICK GET THE OIL!" their frantic voices called out, within seconds brick sized objects are thrown over the edge colliding with my thick frame.
"YOU CUNTS BETTER RUN BEFORE I FUCKING KICK YOU OFF THIS BLOODY WALL YOU WANKERS!" Legna screams as he clings on tightly to avoid the rubble.
A moment of silence goes before they look over "Holy shit there's a kids riding on its back!" surprisingly Legna remains somewhat silent if not for the inaudible swearing he whispers under his breath.

Soon enough we've finally reached the top of the wall, quickly poking my head over the lip of the edge before jumping above *CLINK* A spear jabbed into my chin before another one joins in "Its n-not so tough if it can't fight back" one of them says to confirm their false bravado.
"...Burn!" A Puff of Flame spray engulfs the fools "ARRRaaaggh.." their screams driving back the remaining troops.
"IT'S A FUCKING TALKING LIZARD, CALL THE BATTLE MAGES!"
"Just once would you at least notice that I'm a FUCKING HYDRAGON!" I scream at them as I pull myself up onto the battlements.
Finally settled on top I scout the rest of the battlements, aside from the many magic cannons lining the walls there are many tunnels that line along the walls edge which slowly spit out soldier after soldier.
The troops swarming the wall were not just human's but also elves and dwarves although amidst the sea of silver armor their distinctive features were proudly on display with fat dwarven people carrying heavy weaponry such as great axes and swords while elves were slime, nimble and carrying dexterous or magical weapons such as bows and staves.
The calls of commands rang out from amidst the incoming soldiers almost drowned out by the scuffling of armor but followed as if practiced a thousand times, a wall of shields formed themselves on both sides preventing a swift departure, we couldn't fly off unless we wanted to be shredded by the cannon's and the wall of soldiers preventing a clean attack lest we get injured.
"KID JUMP OFF NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN WE'LL SAVE YOU!" one of them shouted, A tug on my back suggesting my aim be directed at the poor sod.
Launching a barrage of Cluster Fireballs towards him and the incoming troops, their shining armor proved woefully inadequate to my barrage their war cries were quickly replaced by cries of agony as body parts tore off and metal turned to scrap.

Cluster Fireball is now level 2
*CLANG*
The sound of many shields scrapping the hard stone floor behind me as they began their charge I whip around to see a sea of iron advancing upon me, my response swift I infuse my claws as i shred through their shield wall as if it were butter, such a clean cut there was little time for their screams to call out as they dropped dead.
Their defense faltering for a few seconds before being quickly replaced, not even the blood soaked floor would hinder their unending tide, each strike only slowing their pace by a margin before it's filled up again, the vast chasm of strength was only bridged slightly by their sheer numbers.
Lights within the formation flicker as spells of enchantment and buffs are applied to the troops, my blasts of fire slowly faltering against their magic shields I could easily plough through the forces but such a risky move could get Legna caught up but I had little option but play risky.
Infusing mana into a lunge I plough through the sea of silver, releasing Fireball after Fireball onto the many cannons lining the walls edge, with steel and spells staining my scales numerous cannons were soon left smoldering clumps of iron.
Not wanting further delays I rush directly for the edge of the wall, with a gracious leap I spread my wings and fall, gliding gracefully we proceed to fly low into the distance, the wall growing further and further away.
"Xen!...XEN! Get us down on the ground you idiot!"

Author's note:
Not had much time to do much writing, busy week but hopefully back on scedule soon
Poll is for a new character but I'm curious if people want it so soon (or if at all)
I'm thinking of doing a "Rat puntastic race", would seem appropriate for their annihilation
Character detail:
Name: Ratty
Gender: ???
Description: An immortal "Rat Person" unfortunately immortality isn't fun when cursed with incredibly bad luck, a simple fall often leading to an extra hole that shouldn't there

The Infinite Labyrinth
(Story complete - Book 1 "Shanghaied", 2 "Shortcuts", 3 "Secrets" and 4 "Sanctions") It is the 19th century, and war smoulders between England and France. Any hope for a quick end to Napoleon's rampage across Europe ended when the Great Gates opened in 1800. For a fortunate few, the strange world of the Infinite Labyrinth offers opportunities, strange descriptors popping in their minds, informing them of growth, and status beyond that of a mere mortal. The materials and power crystal they bring back foster a new age, both military and civilian. Aether-powered Skyships prowl the skies, as all the great nations blessed by the Gates try to turn the blessings of the Labyrinth into immediate advantages. But for Jonas, an apprentice leatherworker, his friend Ira, and so many Londoners, the fabled ones that walk the Labyrinth are distant heroes, seen from afar. They fell short when their Potential was measured, and they fill their mundane lives with distant dreams. One man wants to break the stalemate. The Tyrant of the Dominion of France, Napoleon Bonaparte, has a plan. Eighteen years after the world changed, he will force it to change again. And when civilians are caught in the fallout, the unthinkable happens. Six people, unqualified, forbidden to ever enter the Labyrinth, find themselves stranded in a distant zone, forcefully turned into Professionals. They know little of what that means, but they have to figure out the rules that are now their lot, for they have little hope to escape their predicament otherwise. They need to understand what the descriptors in their minds mean, what each of the strange piece of gear waiting in treasure chests behind terrible guardians can bring them. They have to become Professionals on their own and rejoin the Empire. They will figure out their new lives one way or another. But will there be an Empire waiting for them when the Gates re-open? Caught in a clash of empires and high tiers, they will do what little they can. They will step up and do their best. One way or another. The Infinite Labyrinth is a slice-of-life litRPG adventure set in a real historical setting. It's a hard, crunchy litrpg. Expect blue boxes everywhere, and the system itself is very mathy. It started life as a serial. I prepared some proper worldbuilding, with enough details and background for lots of different potential story arcs, but as I wrote, I realized the main story needs to have a definitive end. So, there are four books in total, for a bit under 1500 pages, plus additional side stories, and even maybe a sequel one day. The Gore tag was added as a precaution because there are a few scenes with some light gore.
