“i couldn’t even feel pain!” replied Alice quickly.

Light sharpened his eyes, and looked at the girl yet again.

in the end....her powers are useless if it gives out a painless death.

and having Alice here is great and all, but she’ll end up being dead weight....

“Alice, go get rid of the small fry.”

and with a gust of wind, she disappeared.

“With that said.....can you truly cut everything?”

“Of course!”

said the girl with a broad smile on her face.

“In the end, you are drunk in your own power.”

muttered Light.

but if that was the case, Light couldn’t deny that he, himself, is drunk in his own power.

Light shook his head and decided to try something new.

he pointed his finger toward the sword held by the girl and uttered

she then lowered her right hand, and another Japanese sword came out of her sleeve.

As soon as i said that, my right hand began to glitch.

just like how a video shows a repeating glitch, the same is happening to my right hand.

the sword, which was a bit taller than Light, was gripped in his right hand.

Light took an awkward stance, which added more toward the girl’s fury.

the girl swing her blade, which was aimed at Light’s abdomen, but Light countered somehow.

as soon as the blade came into contact with the Nodachi, it turned to ash.

The girl, who was shocked for a moment, quickly took out a short sword from her left sleeve and aimed for Light’s neck.

The girl dropped the short sword alongside her left arm.

“W-why.....? why can’t i.....cut you?”

the girl looked on in disbelief at what just happened.

her left hand, who hit something so hard, went numb.

that’s when someone tapped Light’s shoulder from behind.

Light could feel the cold stare he was getting from X behind the mask, that's when he said

“That's quite close. its actually space.”
