《Bloody Wonderland》Act 3-1 Starting The Game Before the Assigned Time

with the clock ticking toward midnight, i decided to head out to the central area of the school.
that is, the wreckage of what used to be the principle’s building.
i mean, moving from the center gives more freedom with the direction i’m going to head for.
Although Wolf isn’t able to help me in this game, providing weapons isn’t against the rules.....right?
「I got the location for all the students, Hatter.」
said Shigure through the transmitter installed in my ear.
“Is that so, Dormouse. is Knave of Hearts still there?”
「I’m here boss! but still......why the hell did you do all of that for?! but then again, don’t you dare kill them! and if you’re going to kill them, do it in the name of justice!!」
Light soon gave a sigh upon hearing Jay’s rant, wondering why he even bothered reviving him.
but in the end, he needed a bodyguard for his support squad, and Jay was the perfect example for that, with his stupid justice.
“Of course! who do you think i am? if i don’t act in justice, then what do i act for?!”
spouted Light in a hurry.
he felt like throwing up, but with this, he is able to manipulate Jay as much as he wants.
“Really, a justice idiot is in the end......just an idiot.”
muttered Light.
now then, all that's left is the last member.
“March Hare.”
「I’m here, Hatter.....i really thank you for returning my legs to me.」
Said Alex.
Now that he confirmed that all the main actors are here, he quickly said the name of the person he wants to meet first.
“Dormouse, tell me the location of X.”
「You sure you want to go to X first? he seems to be the strongest of them all.」

“I want to go beat down X because he seems to be the strongest.”
「Is that so. in that case, he isn’t moving at all. he’s actually quite near you.....just move a bit south.」
“hmm.....i see.”
even though i know his current location, i didn’t move.
because i’m waiting for the clock to tick past midnight.
wait....
i quickly dismissed my hesitation of waiting for midnight and started moving toward the location.
in the end, aren’t sneak attacks allowed?
who said that we can’t attack before the match started?
now then.....
“March Hare”
「yes....i cant see X in the future. but.....i can see the girl who is stationed near him. her ability seems to be...the ability to sever anything. also, you should be very careful in dealing with her, because she has weapons hidden all over her body. 」
Said Alex.
he really did want to call them by their names, but Wolf refused any of that.
he attached code names to everyone who still haven’t had his, and decided to have us use them in this ‘last’ mission.
well, i owe Wolf a bit after all, so i agreed.
in the end, i can use any kind of weapon right?
humans are weapons.
no...to be more precise, undead are.
having a loophole in the rules really helps.
now then....
i climbed a bit over a hill, which led me to the sky scrapers that are built near the principle’s.
ohh.....i see them.
they’re sitting near the entrance.
the tall girl seems to be cleaning her sword...
but i wonder why that location though?
mayhaps they had the same idea as me, and that is moving to the central of the city?
well, thinking about it won’t change anything, right?
better kill them real fast and end this.

that's when a sudden thought ran through me.
since when did i kill?
no, since when did killing become fine for me?
sure, i wanted to kill Alice.....but isn’t that already done?
so why am i killing the rest who wronged me?
if i do somehow get out of this, and i will.......can i really go back to society?
i mean, i never actually was part of it, but someday i will, right?
since out there, killing really isn’t an option.
for me, who got used to killing.....aren’t i truly an outcast now?
inside the bubble called normality--common sense.....aren’t i outside of it now?
ahh!
why am i thinking about this now?
i’ll always have time later.
i took a deep breath, cleansing me of my human thoughts.
nothing will come out of thinking about it now.
setting my thoughts straight, i moved toward the duo.
as i drew near, they both noticed me.
X seems to look at me in the eyes, although i can’t really say because of the mask.
the girl who was maintaining her sword suddenly raised an eyebrow and got up.
she then revealed a smile.
i stopped a few meters before them.
“Good evening.”
i said toward the couple.
the man wearing the mask seems to stare at me intensely.
really though......why do all the guys i meet for the first time are like this?
we got Wolf, and now this guy.
i’m actually straight!
while having such normal thoughts, the girl, who was still smiling, replied to me.
“Good evening to you, young man! but seriously, what are the chances of meeting our main target so soon? and i thought we’d find you last”
i was a bit confused at what she said, but no matter.
“I’m glad that we think the same. since in the end, i wanted to meet you guys first...”
as i said that, the girl took a step forward.
i, of course, took a step back.
i really can’t get in her attack range.....swordsmen are troublesome after all.
ohh?
i remember!
can’t i just stop them then?
“>”
and there it is again.
the girl....raised her eyebrow again.
she looked on shocked.
it seems like she is able to see the invisible barrier that is extending on me as its center.
she quickly unsheathed the sword that she sheathed moments ago and swung.
“Alice!”
“What’s the matter, Mast--”
Alice came out of nothingness.
she used one of her spells, > and came here.
i quickly pushed her in front of me before she had the chance to respond
and she was cut vertically alongside my barrier.
Light’s facial muscles seemed to be moving upward and formed a very twisted smile upon seeing what is happening before him.

To Burn a Kingdom
It has been centuries since Gods and Angels forsook the world of Ashaari, leaving its people Faithless and divided as Magic begins to fade. But some of their powers still remain, embedded deep in the earth as rare Gems and sometimes, in blood. Wars are waged and fought over these Gems, for what little Magic they provide. But now, a new prophecy has arisen. The Angels will return and with them, comes Magic and hysteria. - In the kingdom of Illya, Princess Arellia Virtris lives a life of opulence but she is miserable; a caged puppet whose strings are controlled by the members of her court. She yearns for the freedom she may never have but is bound by the prophecy to serve her kingdom and the Faith. But when her brother—the crown prince Vasilis— suddenly arranges an unfavourable marriage, her life begins to spiral out of her control. On the other side of the continent, mercenary Dillon Azshker jumps thoughtlessly from battle to battle. He lives only for the coin he earns and booze to drown the sorrows of his past. Life has left him dispirited save for one last reckless campaign that he hopes would end it all. As fate— or perhaps, bad luck—would have it, on the night of summer solstice, the lives of these two unfortunate souls are intertwined as they find themselves caught in the dark webs of politics and sinister schemes. When they meet and tragedies unfold, their decisions will ultimately trigger a series of events that will alter the course of history. *** Warning: This novel is grimdark and will contain descriptions that some readers may find disturbing.
