Author note: i couldn't come up with a better title for the chapter.

so the title might or might not relate to this chapter......since i wrote the title based on the first 500 words of the chapter......anyhow, enjoy!

Have you ever thought that Gods might exist?

i never actually believed in gods.

even though i'm Japanese.....i don’t really believe in gods.

it isn’t that i believe in the power of science or anything, nor do i believe in aliens.

i mean, if you take a current smart phone to maybe, 30 years in the past, won’t you be hailed as a god?

such thoughts prevent me from believing in gods.

what i believe in.......is time.

that which controls time is an absolute existence.

such is my belief.

in the end....no matter how much you pry to the so called gods, they never answer your call.

and i incredibly hate those who credit the gods for others accomplishments.

heck, the impossible is currently happening.

don’t people think that raising the dead is something only a god is able to do?

i currently know two people who are able to do such things.

yet......why aren’t they gods?

something called a god cannot exist.

someone who can control time cannot exist either.

yet......can’t i control time?

does that mean.....i am a god?

that might be so, but i’m going to bet that in the near future, a genius scientist is going to invent a time machine.

is that person.......a god?

alas, he is human.

in the end, did not someone create them?

in the end, didn’t someone, out there, give them their powers?

in the end, i do not believe there is someone who is called an absolute being.

in the end, aren’t i, the being able to control time, aren’t absolute?

so in conclusion, i am human.

a human can die.

a human is variable.

but....isn’t controlling time, a solution for these problems?

thus, a paradox is born.

is a human god?

or is a god human?

or perhaps......neither of them exists?

but at that possibility, wont gods also exist along side humans, as a different beings?

yet, i do not believe in them.

but at the same time, i do believe in humanity.

now a days, people are concluding that the beginning of time is from the big bang.

now then, if you suddenly reverse time to before the big bang......then what happens?

what exactly cause the big bang?

no one knows.

but here is what i think....just like how you put a lid over a bottle of water in order to not let it spell, the same concept can be said about time. before the big bang, time wasn’t flowing.

or.....a lid was put to prevent time from flowing over.

but then, something unexpected happened.

time overflew from the so called bottle, which caused the universe to be made.

no......it allowed the universe to ‘expand’.

just like now, right at this moment, the universe is expanding.

do you know why.....?

because time is ‘flowing’.

so in conclusion, although i am able to control time, i am but a human.

but, time is absolute.

with such thoughts, i was humming; humming while walking toward my destination.

“Speaking about destination......wasn’t there a movie called final destination? that was a fun series to watch. those Americans, they have their ways with the movies. but then again, that itself can relate to this

situation....hopefully, Shigure’s information is spot on like always.”

“Of course it is, Master!”

“But if she can truly see the future....won’t she avoid us?”

“that might be the case! but then again, she might have seen something in our future that requires her to help us. either way, its a gamble...”

“If you put it that way, then if she avoids us, it means its something that is disadvantageous toward her, no?”

“Of course, Master! since in the end, every man for himself, right?”

Just as we had our usual conversations, a small, Old Japanese tea house came into view.

both me and Wolf approached it, and it seems a sign is hanged around the door that reads ‘The Tea Club’

i knock on the door and say my name and purpose.

Wolf does the same while complaining that she might have already know that we’re coming.

before waiting for an answer, we both barge in.

what awaited us was a girl in a wheel chair sipping on some tea.

she had white skin that revealed her lack of sunlight, while her white hair, which went perfectly well with her skin, sat still.

her white hair has been cut to shoulder length, which Light looked upon quite disappointingly.

If her hair was a bit longer, it’ll match her perfectly....

her figure, which could only be called slim, revealed her lack of nutrition.

she looked like skin above bone, with no meat at all.

but then again, it wont appear as such unless you really focus your eyes toward her faults.

she focused her ice-blue eyes on Light’s black eyes.

Light revealed a refreshing smile, thinking about the experiment he has in mind.

the girl opened her mouth as if to say something, but closed it yet again.

“It seems like she’s a very timid girl...”

Muttered Wolf.

the girl seemed to not have noticed Wolf’s comment, and not to mention, Light himself noticed that the girl’s teacup was shaking.

it seems that the girl was indeed very nervous about this meeting.

Light couldn’t comprehend exactly why would she be so nervous, because didn’t she suspect their arrival?

Damn......was Shigure’s information wrong? isn’t this girl’s ability to see the future??

Light thought that the girl was frighted by the sudden appearance of two men.

but then, she opened her mouth yet again and was the first to utter something in this awkward silence that went on for a few minutes.

“T-thank you for coming.....t-those who’s time cannot be seen.....”

“.........?”

Light couldn’t help but tilt his head in confusion.

but soon recovered and said. “Those who’s time cannot be seen?”

the young, sickly girl quickly bowed in apology and said “I-i’m sorry......! it seemed i have been talking in puzzles.........i’ll explain what i meant!”

she lifted his head and looked at me straight in the eyes and said “What i meant is that you are the only people here, in this city, that i can see your futures.....and i really don’t know why.....!”

and with that said, Light was able to quickly guess at what she meant.

he, who could control time itself, cannot have his time told.

and Wolf, who has come from the future, cannot have his time told, because his past is our future.

although that itself has changed.

since wolf’s actions so far has changed the future, but this is just my own guess.

I have no idea why Wolf and Alice were sent here from the future, and both of them refuse to disclose any information about it.

ahh, before i forget, it seems that Alice had her conscious sent to the past, not her physical body like Wolf.

i really couldn’t care less about that thing either way.

“But wait....if you can’t see our futures, does that mean that you didn’t suspect our arrival?”

“But indeed.......if i did, i wouldn’t be here sipping on tea rather than welcoming guests.....right? Y-you really surprised me....”

“Tch”

Light clicked his tongue loud enough for only him to hear.

Doesn’t this mean i have come here for nothing at all....? i can’t do my experiment at all this way.

as for what he meant as an experiment, he wanted to see if he can change the future.

but if there is no set future for someone, then how can he change it?

but after a while, something lit up inside Light’s head.

“Ahh! i got it!!”

if he can’t change his own future, then why not change another?

“Hey, you! do you know who is going to win this stupid game?”

“..............Y-yes......? its this one guy called........Kate?”

Light, as soon as he heard that name, burst into laughter.

while in midst of laughter, the girl quickly lowered her upper body, just as if she was bowing.

~Thud!

A sharp sound came from the wall.

Wolf quickly looked at the wall, and saw that there was a small, circular hole in it.

“A bullet hole.....?”

Wolf turned his head, as if to follow its trajectory.

and gasped in surprise when he saw it was aimed toward the handicapped girl’s head.

he didn’t know how the girl was able to know about the sniper, and dodge its bullet when the window was on the opposite side of the room.

which meant that spotting the sniper was impossible.

But then again, Wolf thought it was pure luck.....but quickly dismissed the idea.

the girl signaled Wolf to come closer to her, and instructed him to move her close to Light.

as soon as both of them reached a position close to Light, the ceiling broke down on the place Wolf and the girl stood at moments ago.

Wolf, at that moment, quickly felt stupid to think it was pure luck that she dodged that bullet in pure luck. even though he knew about her power.

a huge figure came out, clad in a majestic armor, from what used to be the ground.

at the moment, the room was split into two, a clean half which had Wolf, the girl and Light.

and the other half, which had the Knight which was clad in armor.

but there was something unusual about the Knight.....what he held was not a sword, but a Battle Axe.

Light quickly asked the Girl’s about this man’s future, which she answered “He is going to die on a few days, by the hand of someone called X.....”

Light, who haven’t heard of anyone named X, didn’t pay the name much attention.

he quickly decided to kill the motionless lump of metal in front of him, in order for his experiment.

“now then....if i kill you, it means that i have the ability to change the future as well?”

after he said that, he immediately muttered “>” and took out what seemed to be a black coated Silver Heavy pistol.

other than the color, another thing stood out about the gun held by Light.

it was that the muzzle of the gun had a dragon head carved into it.

the end of the muzzle looked like the dragon’s mouth, while the fired bullet would look as if its the fire coming from the dragon’s belly.

The Knight, as if the code of honor broke him lose after seeing Light draw his weapon, Quickly closed in on Light.

Light quickly Aimed the gun toward the man and pulled the trigger.

with no drama, no action what so ever, the body, which had its upper half alongside its heavy armor, blew to smithereens, dropped on the floor motionlessly.

Light cheerfully looked at the girl, who have proven that his theory was correct, and asked her for her name.

“M-my name is.......Alex.”

Light extended his hand toward the girl, who was seated in a wheelchair.

Alex, accepting the Young man’s hand, unknowing of the darkness lurking in his heart.
