also, i have yet to proofread this fully, since i began proofreading chapters on two phases....only went through phase one right now. and English isn't really my first language either.....so hopefully you'll enjoy today's chapter~!!!
PS. sorry for the short chapters that i posted yesterday and the day before.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“......It’s been a few days since Cheshire went missing......”
but in the end, it’s not like i held her here or anything.....it’s just that she left without leaving any kind of message. no goodbyes? i guess in the end, every man for himself.
Light was brainstorming about what his next move was going to be in his makeshift bed.
he is currently in the park, while his bed is consisting of cardboard flatly evened as the bottom layers with a blue blanket on top.
you might think that Light is frustrated for not having anyplace to sleep in; but surprisingly, he didn’t mind at all.
“hmm~ what should i do now......”
muttered Light.
should he blindly search for something god knows if he can ever find, or look for the person with the most useful ability to him?
“Looks like i was stupid to actually think this over, no?”
while saying that, he jumped from the bench and dusted off his clothes.
“>”
and he used that skill on the bench in order for people to not steal his stuff away.
upon finishing, he took out a small notebook from the uniform’s chest pocket and opened it.
what stood there was as follows’
Shigure SasayamaLocationSection 7 of the northern underground sewers.AbilityThe ability to locate people and objects. //Be careful Master, he’s one of the few,
who people were after because of his troublesome ability. i advise that you give him a text telling him you’re coming in order for him to not avoid you. i have already instructed him that you shall be visiting, so be sure to send the text. alright, Master?//
It was a book with a neatly organized notes.
you’re a perfectionist as always, you creep.
while saying that, Light flashed a lonely smile full of regret.
the notebook was actually used by wolf until the day of his death, that's when he handed it to Light.
the Notebook was filled with information about the school, students and their abilities and even how to access the main console.

“so in the end, didn’t you know that you were going to die that day, huh, Wolf?”
he asked that, but didn’t expect an answer.
he began heading toward the northern part of the Academy’s city.
Light wasn’t really in a hurry, so he decided to take it slow and easy and treat it as a walk, since he hasn’t been in the northern part before since coming back.
the northern part originally only had the club areas, that place was also quite popular. you could spot a few people here and there ganging up on others.
that's when Light noticed something was off.
there were too many people here.
they appeared out of the dark spaces and corners of the club rooms near here.
Light didn’t pay them any heed, but that's only before he appeared.
***
“Hey boss! is it really alright for us to kill this wimpy guy?”
with a surprised expression, my underling enquired from me.
“Of course! you might not know, but i, Sakaki Shinichi, has had that thing as a money income source before the great revelation!” ((as in, for those guys, having to battle to the death and getting powers related to killing is a divine revelation for them to do what they want))
he told his followers. it gave them a very huge boost in moral because.....who would even consider someone who is that weak to be worth anything?
with my name starting with the letter for ‘death’((shi can mean death in Japanese)) i have turned the north district into my own turf. those who cross it without paying a price are to be slaved or killed at all costs....but that's beside the point. today, i am facing this thing because a job requested him dead. i don’t exactly know why people want this thing dead at all, but money is money! and an easy job that gives a lot of money is always welcomed.
“i have no idea how he looks the same as that day......but i shouldn’t dwell on it now, i can always do it later.”
Shinichi mumbled under his breath.
right after regaining focus, he shouted “Attack him.....!” and all 30 uniform wearing students attacked what seemed like a harmless individual.
focusing all of their attacks on one point, all of them began using their abilities.
a hurricane blew while striking its lightning all on one point, and that is Light.
at the same time, Fire came out from the hands of multiple students also aimed at the center of that thing, while the earth shook and split right open where his foothold.

while the smoke has yet to stop raising, all the students were either celebrating or disappointed in how easy the job was.
the hurricane was blown away by a tornado summoned from another student that also headed toward the location where Light used to be.
“Hey hey~! no matter who he is, don’t you think a tornado is a bit of an overkill?”
“Ah....I’m sorry, boss! i just couldn’t help but get the creeps while looking at his terribly creepy smile....”
“.......?”
i have yet to understand what he meant, but that's when i noticed something.
why isn’t the wind blowing?
i mean, there is a tornado right in front of me, there is supposed to be powerful winds.....right?
as soon as i realized that something wrong is going on, a student that took his place beside that thing’s corpse suddenly was sent flying.
not just that, it somehow froze in the middle of nothing.
ten feet from the ground, there was a guy from my gang stuck.......in middle air.
he wasn’t screaming for help nor was he changing expressions, he was just there, with a pained expression that doesn’t even realize that he’s ten feet from the ground.
but then all of a sudden, he fell to the ground and was smashed head first into the ground.
his head, wide open, had some brain leaking out.
it was a small, pink and sponge like.
that's when the blood, as if realizing it was his job to run after the brain, gushed out all at once. and the pressure of that lead to his eyes popping out of their sockets and his mouth to be hang open.
it was truly a scene out of your worst nightmares.
i tried looking the other way immediately, and that's when i noticed that all of gang were on the ground in similar ways.
it is the most horrible and painful death i could have ever though of.
“Ohh~? i wonder.....why can’t i hit you.......?”
that thing asked.
with an expression as if he was in total paradise after finding his long lost love, he came closer to me. a step at a time....a step at a time.
~cling~clang~cling~clang
he continued to move as slowly as possible.
i was terrified, but i could still live through it.
in the end....my power is that of >
“H-hahahaha! you might have gotten rid of the small fry....but you couldn’t get rid of me.....! which means that you can’t destroy my barrier!”
i said in absolute confidence.
since in the end, if he cant get through its my win.
i turned back in hopes of running away but that's when he mumbled something under his breath.
i felt a chill that ran through my spine and my body was screaming for me to run away, but my feet refused to move.
i took a glance behind me and saw that the barrier that has withstood thousands of thunder strikes and had prided myself with for being invisible, had a huge crack.
that thing continued to take a step closer. one at a time while pointing his Silver coated black Heavy pistol.
the barrel had what looked like a dragon head coming out of its end.
i shook in fear when the barrier perished.
he still continued on, step at a time while bearing a very, very Cheerful smile in his face.
i, who couldn’t move, was about to die.
that's what all the alarms that have kicked in are telling me.
that's when he came close enough for our noses to touch each other, and pointed the muzzle toward my head.
he then proceeded to hit the trigger.
i closed my eyes and shrieked in terror while hearing a ~Bang!
that's when....he burst into laughter.
i have noticed that snot, spit, tears and various other warm liquids have been spilled out of my body.
the still laughing Thing was rolling in the floor while i am scared to death.
that's when he stopped laughing all of a sudden, just like that when you turn off the radio in the middle of a song.
he ceased laughing and pointed the muzzle toward my right foot......and shot.
my right foot was blown away while i receive a shock big enough to knock me out and get me back online and repeat.
i screamed in pain and withered.
blood spelling out like a fountain, and my body was already paralyzed.
if not for the pain, i would’ve already been knocked out.
i cursed my arrogant past self when he suddenly said “ahh....I’m actually more human than you are...right? then shouldn’t i put you out of your misery?”
he said that and pointed the muzzle toward my brain yet again
i squeezed all the energy in my body and said “You Monst~” ~BANG!
