"sigh~ cough cough"

Lying on the cold ground, under the red blood colored moon. I sighed to myself with great effort.

"sigh~ cough.. i hope... Someone.. remember... my name.. but.. i guess, that's impossible... Right?"

I look down in my stomach and there's a silver sword pierced into it. I did not made an effort to remove it because I know it will not change my fate tonight. I already sustained many wounds all over my body.

I'm already dying, and my vision slowly getting blurry and started to dim. I tried turning my head to my right side to only see some beheaded corpse. On top of it is another dead body.

I'm a mercenary. So me, dying like this in the war, is not surprising. I'm not outstanding like the others, I'm even below average. I don't have a family, heck... I don't even have a girlfriend. Even the prostitutes avoids me.

I don't have regrets living a life of mercenary, but what i regrets is there's no one will remember me. Yeah.. that's my only regret.

If the gods if this world gave me a second chance to redo this life of mine. I wil take every opportunity, and do my best to make a family. I don't need to get famous. What I want is a family that will remember me, and will love me.

I don't know if gods really exist, but, I guess I'll try to pray to the gods. Well, I have nothing to lose.

I took my last deep breath with great effort so i could say my prayers in one go.

"I... Don't know if you are real or not, but I'm praying to whoever has a power, give me a seco-"

"Wish granted"

"Eh?"

Someone interrupted me and wasted my last breath i took in with great effort! Fuck!

Complaining inside of my head, i took my last breath.
