《Galduta》The Reaper

"What?! How can he not be de-" a loud howl cut through the forest before Rebecca could finish her sentence, the noises in the forest immediately ceased as the howl slowly traveled through the trees and crawled along the ground. Rebecca and Jeremy's bodies refused to move, their heartbeats thumped loudly in their ears like war drums as their breath quickened due to panic. "We have to get out of here!" Jeremy hurriedly said as he forcibly calmed himself down "Give me the gun, you two head north-east, there should be a boat coming in any minute with supplies, I'll hold him off" he snatched the gun from Rebecca's hand and checked the magazine with shaking hands. 'Five shots' he counted the number of bullets he had left and made a mental note. Looking up to say goodbye to his family, his face was grabbed and before he knew it soft lips were pressed against his. Rebecca pulled back and lovingly stroked his face before another howl resounded, this time much closer than before. Jeremy tore her hand away from his face and spun around while leveling the gun where he thought he heard the howl "leave" he shakily said with his back to his wife, he turned around to look at her when he saw her still stationary "LEAVE!" he shouted. Rebecca hesitated but began running when Damien began tugging her arm, with one last look she gazed at her husband's back before turning and sprinting off with Damien beside her. Jeremy's eyes scanned his surroundings warily, his index finger on the trigger of the gun. The forest was eerily quiet, the only audible thing was the sound of his elevated heartbeat, several minutes passed with him standing on edge when suddenly the bushes to his left started rustling. Jeremy squeezed his eyes shut and fired three consecutive shots and was rewarded with the sound of a loud snort, tumbling out of the bushes came a caribou which fell to the ground with labored breaths. Cautiously approaching the animal, Jeremy nudged it with his foot causing it to weakly snort at him. Carefully examining the animal he noticed its eyes were nervously darting around scanning the surroundings, one of the creature's front legs had a gunshot wound which Jeremy figured was caused by him. Jeremy stretched his hand to comfort the creature but froze when he heard a low growl come from behind him, slowly turning his head Jeremy saw what could only be described as a monster. The creature's black fur swayed in the wind, its claws glistened under the dim moonlight. Jeremy's heart rate increased as he stared into the blood red eyes gazing down at him, he felt the coldness coming from them in droves. His mind raced as he searched for ways, any way to escape his predicament. Jeremy opened his mouth to speak but before any words left his mouth he felt a force connect against the side of his face and his world turned upside down....in the physical sense. Jeremy sailed through the site and landed heavily on the ground, he slid a few feet before coming to a halt at the root of a tree. The creature got down on all fours and slowly approached Jeremy who was struggling to stand, the ringing in his ears and blurry vision made the task that much more difficult. Still, Its burning blood red eyes was the one thing which he could clearly see despite his impaired vision, the rest of nick's form was just a mass of swimming black smoke. Gasping for breath, Jeremy leaned against the trunk of the tree and sat there watching the two red orbs come closer and closer towards him. The gun had been knocked out of his hand when he was thrown through the air. "For what......it's worth" he rasped "I'm sorry" those were his last words as his head was sliced cleanly off of his shoulders and sailed through the air. Nick immediately tore into the body, ripping out the intestines and other entrails. His eyes burned with intensity as he feasted on the still warm corpse of Jeremy, the sound of bones crunching and meat being chewed wafted up into the night air followed by the sound of a wolf's howl, all the while Jeremy's severed head watched the scene with wide eyes. ------Elsewhere-----

Rebecca and Damien had arrived at the outskirt of the forest, the ocean was calm and the breeze was as gentle as a love-sick maid, had it not been for the gunshots and howling heard from within the forest one would easily mistake the place for being uninhabited. Rebecca's eyes scanned the beach for any sign of a dock but despite her efforts, she was unable to pinpoint its location. Her eyes widened as her head began filling up with morbid thoughts 'what if we went the wrong way?' 'He died for nothing' 'I put us in danger' she fell to her knees and sobbed silently which soon turned into loud wails. Damien's chest tightened seeing his mother in so much emotional pain, although they never spent that much time together she was still his mother and he loved her. He awkwardly stroked her hair and reassured her that everything was going to be alright. Despite the fact that they were being chased by a creature which seemed like it hopped right out of a depraved individual's dreams Damien felt no fear, he instinctively knew that the creature chasing them would not hurt him. It was his mother he was worried about though, she had shot the man without provocation but that did not mean he was okay with whatever it was the man planned to do to her, granted he did not know what would be done to his mother but he did know it would not be pleasant. While Rebecca had been wallowing in self-pity Damien's head suddenly snapped towards the sea, the softly rolling waves as far as his eyes could see was what met his sight but it was not his eyesight he was relying on, it was his sense of hearing that alerted him to something quickly approaching from the sea. "Mom" he called out to his mother who continued sobbing "Mom!" he called again this time a little louder, Rebecca lifted her head to her son "I hear something coming" he said and pointed toward the ocean. Her face filled with hope as the prospect of salvation crossed her mind, she ran toward the water's edge and anxiously waited. Soon the sound of a motor made its way to her ears and a few moments later a boat appeared through the fog, despite the darkness she managed to make out two silhouettes on the vessel. In fear of not being seen, Rebecca frantically jumped up and down while waving her arms in hopes of flagging down the vessel, it would seem her efforts were not in vain as the vessel turned in her direction. She held her hands over her mouth and cried, it looked like she and her son would be getting off the island in one piece after all. As the boat landed on the shore two men hopped off, one of the men had a bald head and a large scar over his right eye, he was well built and wore a tank top under a black jacket while the other had a full head of silver hair, a fairly handsome face and Flowing silver hair. "Please" Rebecca began as she ran up to the men "you have to get us off this island!" the men looked at each other and looked back at her with narrowed eyes. Rebecca shuddered under their gazes but quickly found her courage and stared back, the bald man opened his mouth to reply but paused and lifted his head in the air while cocking his head to the side as if listening to something. The silver haired young man looked at the bald gentleman and asked "Yo scar, you heard that too right?" the bald man rolled his eyes before replying tiredly "yes Eren I heard it *sigh*" Rebecca was confused as to what the two men were talking about but for the moment she put it out of her mind. "Please give us a ride off this island" she pleaded yet again and once more the men just stared at her. Throughout the entire ordeal, Damien was staring at the men thinking to himself they felt familiar to him somehow. Eren felt Damien staring at him and turned to meet his gaze and when their eyes met he felt a jolt run through his body. Eren nudged Scar with his elbow which caused Scar to furiously glare at him but his fury soon turned to confusion when he saw what Eren was trying to show him. Scar approached Damien and curiously inspected him, lifting him by his arm, scar held his chin in a thinking pose and carefully scrutinized him. Rebecca seeing her son being handled so roughly, angrily walked up to Scar and lifted her hand, a loud smack resounded through the area and a red hand print was clearly seen on his left cheek. Eren's mouth formed an 'O' shape and his eyes widened "You gonna just take that bro?" He asked incredulously, Scar very slowly and mechanically turned his head and gave Rebecca a death stare. Her face paled when she looked into Scar's eyes and saw pure, unrestrained anger. That was not the only thing which made her afraid though, the thing which really made her scared was the color of his eyes, a deep amber replaced the previous chocolate brown he had, dropping Damien to the floor, scar walked towards Rebecca. Taking slow deliberate steps, scar made his way to Rebecca and stood over her staring her down. His fingernails very slowly grew into claws and before she could react Scar's hand grabbed her throat and lifted her into the air. "You're.....one too....aren't you?" she wheezed out while trying to loosen his grip. Scar's face remained grim as his grip tightened around her throat, as he was about to crush Rebecca's windpipe a loud roar made him pause. Looking in the direction of the roar, Scar saw Damien's eyes glowing an ominous red. ""What the fuck?"" Damien and Scar said at the same time, Damien was currently in a semi-transformed state and his mind was on the verge of breaking. Seeing the fear in his mother's eyes and watching the light slowly draining from her eyes drove him to the edge. "PUT. HER. DOWN!!" his voice came out in a low growl but the power contained in it made Scar obey, he dropped her to the floor where she collapsed gasping for air. "I'll kill you" he whispered with his head down but the wind carried his voice to everyone's ears, suddenly his head rose rapidly and with madness in his eyes he shouted "I SWEAR I'LL KI-" his words were cut short when Nick suddenly appeared behind him and delivered a swift punch to Damien's temple, knocking him out. Catching Damien's falling body and placing him on his shoulder, Nick scanned everyone present and sighed "I leave you for one minute and everything falls to shit, let's go" he said and began walking towards the boat. Scar snapped out of his stupor and wordlessly followed Nick, "Bring her too" Nick said without looking back. Lifting Rebecca's body and placing her on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, Eren jogged after the departing figures of Nick and Scar all the while Rebecca was screaming and pounding against his back. Once they were all on board and leaving, Nick turned to Scar and asked "You think you can find this place again?" to which Scar simply nodded. The boat was silent until Eren said "I spy with my little eye......something blue" Scar groaned and said under his breath "This is gonna be a long ride home"

She's the most underrated Schuyler sister but she's my favorite so fight me).Anyways hope you guys like it.Also I did have to change some historical stuff to make it fit better. For instance I made John Church kinda a jerk but her father like him and want her to marry him dispite it being about the opposite in history.
