《Ode to Freud》Extra Chapter 13: Vigilant

We went a bit overboard last night.
I didn’t go over my limit, but I surely got close to it. Drinking with my whole family… how many centuries have passed since I last had this much of a good time by doing something so simple?
…. I can’t even remember anymore.
I did have other families at some point in my life, but this one is really special. I love it more than any other.
Well, it’s the family given to me by the Course, so it’s obvious I would be happier here than anywhere else.
Anywhere else.
Still, it’s also a big headache. As expected of the Course. Curse it.
Alvin and Ann slept together, and I can see clearly that both want each other.
Alice pretends not to see, but I know she and John are aware of that.
Also, Jacen seems to have some feelings as well.
No matter.
Ann hasn’t gone through her first fertile cycle yet, and this also seems not to be written in the stars. They do not have the sparkle between then.
So it’s probably something born of being too secluded on her own house, with the only men being her father and siblings.
Nothing I haven’t seen before. This kind of things happens sometimes. Thankfully, in their case it doesn’t seem to spell problem of great proportions.
Not that I like it. Once one has lived as much as me, some things become clear regarding relations between siblings.
I may even had been a little too harsh on Alice on this point. Well, nothing I can help with. The Opposers had a lot to do with the way I had to raise her.
In the end I had to make this daughter of mine a girl which wouldn’t be easily tempted or tempt others. A shame it seems to have warped into an excessive shyness.

It’s the Course. Curse it.
Regardless. Alvin’s training will have to start tomorrow instead of today. Let’s take the day to explain the situation to him.
Still… how come this boy progressed so much in such a short time?!
His [Body Refining] technique has reached the first bottleneck. The [Soul Elevation] is throbbing with power, but it isn’t overcoming him. His [Mind Deepening] is already beyond the point where I can evaluate it with a simple Aura Analysis and his [Spiritual Advent] is showing signs of radiance.
He is already at the brink of becoming a first step cultivator.
At four.
Is there any register in history about such a thing?
I don’t believe so.
And now…
Just what…
That’s Aura Cushion.
He is using Aura Cushion.
To train his physical body!
Which kind of insane training is this?!
I almost feel as if I’m back at the Goddess Mountain Trail.
Alvin’s training… can I really do it in only three months?
