The Mystic Moon Sect reduced to ashes, this news spread everywhere after the demons had retreated. Shocking the nation, the remaining seven sect banded together and call upon heroes to defend, while training the younger generation hoping they would be able to defend and push back the demons.

Year 650 Demon Era
“MASTER!”
No sound came out, only a cried can be heard. The person who was trying to yell was Lee. Lee eyes suddenly open. He had witness a strange nightmare. Everything felt real, Lee was sweating inside. Then he felt something was strange. He felt a soft object caressing his body on the left side. The soft wind flowing on his right side. He looked up and saw the dark night sky, and leaning his head slightly saw figure was holding him. He couldn’t discern this person as it was dark.
Lee heard a crying sound. Wah. A baby crying. He was going to ask the lady, but then as he reach his arms out, he finally realize. He was that baby. He was the baby, and he didn’t know what happen. But his dream that he dreamt was real. He was filled with fear and the baby, Lee, continue to cry out louder and louder.
“Hush, child, hush. No need to be afraid. I am here.” The voice was a female. Every word she spoke was elegant and soft, like she was a fairy. She began to hold the baby closer to her chest and began rocking him slowly back and forth.
Lee stop crying, but his face was still whimpering as he slowly try to calm down. He began to rack his mind together to see what had actually happen.
Lee can see that he died. He was kill by a demon that stay behind hidden in the shadow. He remember that lots of people die, including his master. But he was puzzle why he became a baby.
Did god gave him a second chance and reincarnate him in the next life or did he had some type of unknown power in him? Lee knew it wasn’t the latter, and he never really believe in god much. So he began to give up on the idea, and thank that he was given another life.
Lee wonder where he had reincarnated. Was this the same world he had reborn or was it someplace else. While Lee was thinking and muttering everything that was going on his mind. He didn’t realize he was making baby sounds.
Coo. Coo. The female that was holding hide couldn’t help but smile at the cute child in her arms. She wanted to squeeze him harder, but she knew if she did that it would probably injure the child. So she slight held him closer to her body. She finally made it to the edge of the forest. In front of her was a high mountain, looking above those who would see this sight would think that this mountain height had no end or perhaps reach the heavens.

The female pull out a white blueish cloak from her ring. An interspatial ring, that said to be made by gods. It can hold whatever objects in the ring, given that is not living. Each ring hold a limit amount of space. But the ring the female was wearing is special, it can hold vast amount of items possibility it can hold infinite amount of items.
The cloak look slim and one would think it was for fashion and not for something to keep you warm in the winter. However this cloak is special made. Its fabric can keep one body temperature no matter hold cold it was on the outside.
Wearing the cloak, she took out a long ribbon from her ring, she tied Lee to her chest, after securing Lee making sure he would not fall. She close her cloak. She check once again to see Lee was snuggle warmly on her chest. He was still letting out the small baby sound. He didn’t even notice what was going on. White qi can be seen accumulating under her feet. The qi quietly condense tighter to her feet, then with a light tap onto the ground. The female leapt up towards the mountain side. Her foot touch the side of the mountain, and gently push again to push herself upwards. She did not even slip, she did not move quickly nor did she move slowly. Every step she took up the mountain look graceful.
Lee finally finish ponder began to notice that his body was bit warmer. He moved his arm and landed on a soft mound, touching it he began to feel red. It was his first time touching a girl. But this was no girl it was a women. The female notice Lee action, but did not pay attention to it much, after all he was still a baby. She continue focusing the qi in her feet and continue moving upwards.
After a few minutes, they reach the top of the mountain. It gotten much colder, so cold that an average person would have been frozen to death within three seconds. However with the cloak on, the female continue forward. Lee body turn to see where they were. Though being constricted by the ribbon, he can see a bit at the edge of his eyes.
Snow is what he saw. However though he could barely see anything his hearing was good, right now they were walking in the middle of a blizzard. It was strong enough to make anyone be push back towards the edge of the mountain. But it didn’t for this lady. She quietly walked forward as if it was nothing more than a gentle breeze on a summer day.
Ga. Gu. Ga. Lee talked loudly, he was trying to say ‘Where are we’, the lady look down at Lee, and pat his head gently. Softly smiling as she knew what he was thinking, said “We are almost there.” Through the harsh blizzard a faint mountain wall can be seen.
After an hour or two had passed they reach the wall of the mountain and there was a cave in front of them. The lady walk inside, glowing faint can be seen from the illuminating crystal above and on the side of the wall. Halfway inside, the lady took of her cloak and remove the ribbon and place it back in her ring. Hold the curious Lee, she walk further inside.
Lee head was moving about trying to know where they were going. The lady seeing the cute baby curiosity was giggling inside. Moving forward the lights was growing bigger and brighter. Finally reaching the inside, Lee can see that this cave was bigger on the inside.
It had a small land with a big peach tree in the middle of a small lake. The lake was wide as ten elephants in a line. There was a large paintings on the wall. It was a portrait of countless people Lee did not know. Among the wall were few smaller cave that led to somewhere. Probably a bedroom or a kitchen. The place was huge. Lee wanted to explore this place.
“From now on this home. I am now your new mother, Mei Fong. Hmm, I shall name you Lee Fong. My little Lee. You are now my son. No matter what, I shall protect you and watch you grow.” With a smile, she gave Lee a kiss on the forehead. An illusion of a coiling dragon can be seen, it last for a few seconds and then disappear.
This was key seal that Mei gave to Lee. It allow Lee to be able to enter the cave anytime he wishes. Without the seal, no one would be able to enter, unless a person with the seal grant them access. Or someone strong enough to force their way in. However even if they did force their way in they would have to find the entrance first, then bypass hidden trap, and overcome the final obstacle which was a powerful illusion that was so real, that if you are careless you could die even if you knew it was fake.
Mei took Lee to a cave east of their location. Inside was two beast and one insect. They were eating, when they saw Mei came in with a human baby on her arms they were curious. They were thinking, fuck this Mei probably hate feeding us meat, since it was hard to find meet in the mountain, she is probably going to feed us a human so we can vomit to death.
Mei stop in front of them. She held Lee facing them and began to point.
“Lee these are your uncle. From now on they will also take care of you. This is Uncle Feng, he is a fat bear.” After she said the two words, fat bear, the wolf next to him laugh out loud. The bear face the wolf immediately with anger. If it was Mei, he would her to make fun of him, however since it was someone else he would not tolerate it. He got up and sat on the wolf.
HOWL! The wolf cry out in pain. However even after the Feng sat on him, it did not crush his body or flatten him. How could it flatten him? All three of them at the highest peak of Divine Cultivator, their bodies were tough to the point that it would probably take an entire mountain to crush them flat. Even so, Feng body was so heavy, when sitting on the wolf, he was able to make the wolf cried in pain.
“The crying wolf who is blind is your Uncle Mu. You must not tease your Uncle Mu for being blind. If it wasn’t him saving my life when I was a little girl, I wouldn’t be here. But it cause him to lose his sight.” She gave a sad smile.
“The last one is your Uncle Ro, he is a cockroach.” After she said that, Lee look at Uncle Ro. The heck this cockroach is his uncle, let alone why would a female like herself would keep a cockroach. Most girl would be frighten of it. But he cast away the thought. If these three uncle where living here. It meant that they were special or had a connection to Mei.
“Little Lee, you may not know this but when you grow up I will explain it to you. But your mother is a dragon. Though you are a baby, you will not remember this. I reveal it when you are older.” She gentle cradle Lee, they slowly head out of the cave and to the north wall of the cave, which was the bedroom.
Lee was stunned. He had enter the dragon lair.

Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
