Lee rush deep into the forest. Arriving at the center, there was a huge tree right in the middle where the radiant light shone brightly. Under the huge tree, was an old monk sitting with his legs crisscross. His palm facing upwards rest on his knees, the tips of this thumb and finger touch each other, and the 3 other fingers points outwards. Looking calm, this old monk was in deep mediation.

Lee can’t help but show respected toward this old monk, he had called master. Lee walked forward toward his master. Then he suddenly stopped 3 meters in front of his master and notice something strange.

Looking closely, he notice the leaves around his master form sunburst shape. Not a single leaf had touch his master. As it slowly drifts down from the tree. The leaf avoid him and land softly on the ground, as if there was an invisible barrier prevent anything from hitting him, beside the sunlight piercing array hitting him.

Lee clasp his palm together slight bowed. “Master, I have arrived.” Suddenly his eyes began to twitch and his ability activated. The world instantly turn gray. Lee looked up and saw an acorn spinning straight at his face. It was fast that by the time you blink the acorn would have hit you. However to Lee, the acorn was moving slow.

Master is testing me to see if I can dodge it. But what if I catch it. If I catch it will master finally be able teach me martial arts. `

Lee master, Wu Liang, always treated him kindly all these years ever since Lee entered the temple. He treated Lee wounds, made sure Lee had enough to eat, and hope that Lee would fit in with the others. He trained Lee and become his mentor. But his method of training wasn’t like any other teacher. His method of training was breathing, stretching, and ‘flow of movement’ exercise.

Lee reached out to catch the incoming acorn. He smirked thinking this was easy. Once the acorn was near his palm, he caught it. The world filled with color immediately. He smiled. Then suddenly realize something was wrong. He did not feel the acorn in his hand, the acorn that was in his arms grasp, struck at his chest.

Peng. The acorn hit at Lee chest. The soft sound of the collision vibrated through Lee body. Lee thought the impact did not do much damage to him, but he ponder why it created a soft muffle noise. His face began to twist with disdain. Lee immediately fell to the ground and began to cough violently. The acorn which had hit Lee, had a small qi force, when collided against his body, the chi surge forward, penetrate his outer layer defense and began to attack his internal flow of energy, qigong.

How can something so small create such a powerful impact?

“You still haven’t learn have you Lee.” Wu sighed then suddenly began to open his eyelids. If a person was to saw this they would have scream, vomit, and perhaps fainted from this sight. Wu had no eyes. He was a blind monk. A powerful person who famed and reputation that stretch across that vast land was now a monk who cannot even see a single light of day.

Lee quickly sat up resisting the pain and kneel on ground with his head bowing to his master. “I apologize master, I thought I could catch it using my eyes.”

“Lee your ability to slow down the world in your eyes is indeed formidable but you naïve thinking will kill you in the end.” Lee had told his master of his strange ability long ago and had name it Chronostasis Eyes. Wu knew he made the right choice long ago when he chose to mentor Lee and no one else.

“Lee what do you see me holding in my hand?” Wu stretch his hand open.

Lee look very closely but all he see what nothing. Nothing was in his master hand, yet his master say he was holding something. Was this a trick question?

“Master I see nothing. Are you saying there is something there?” Lee look at his master waiting for a reply.

His master stood up, walk towards Lee and place his hand on Lee chest. A warm energy flows within him. It was calm, soothing, and peaceful as it enter his chest. The wound earlier that his master gave him immediately disappear.

“Lee in this world there are many mystery that I have not discover. In this world, strength is everything, however strength is nothing without knowledge. Knowledge is power and power is the key to become strong. But many think that obtain power is the same as obtaining strength.” His master gave him a sad face.

“If I could go back, I would choose the path of knowledge. It is there that its might is greater than those who obtain power. Even if you are weak, you can still kill those who have the strength of heaven and earth.”

Suddenly Lee’s Chronostasis eye activated, he didn’t know how it was activated or why he couldn’t force it under his control. Then a voice spoke into Lee head. This voice was gentle but stern. It was none other than his master voice.

Lee we will begin training. In this world no matter how weak you are, as long as you don’t surrender to those who are stronger than you, you will always be strong. The strong bully the weak not because they are weak because they show fear. Never show fear to an enemy.

There are seven path of cultivation. Everyone starts at the primitive stage. Each of this stages have 10 levels. The higher you go the harder it gets. The stages are

Primitive -> Sophistication ->Artlessness -> Philosophical -> Meaning of Life -> Earth -> Heaven.

What the fuck!? Isn’t the seven path of cultivation, Qi Cultivator-> Elements Cultivator -> Spirit Cultivator -> Nature Cultivator -> Essence Cultivator -> Divine Cultivator -> Deity Cultivator?

This is my path of cultivation I created for you Lee. Do not follow the others, if you do you will continue to be weak. Follow you own path and only then will you can become strong.

Wu paused for a bit. Then continue to talk to telepathically communicate with Lee. `

This 3 method training will grow with you, it will become stronger as you become stronger. Every day you will practice till you complete it perfectly.

First method is qigong, it’s a breathing technique. Not only that it helps to improve your health and body, it integrates the physical posture that you will need to use for my third method. It will only focus your perception, with your eyes it will be the strongest triumph card against your opponents. It contains the essence of life-energy of the world.

Second method is stretching, this is no regular stretching exercise that I will have you do. It will be the most challenging and painful experience. By learn not only will you be flexible, you will be able to control every inch of your body to your will, you will be agile, strong, firm, and calm whenever you fight.

Third method and important method that ties all this together is the flow of movement. I have discover this after I lost my eyes. I called it Tai Qi. An internal power that comes from within. This incorporates the movements of nature. By perfecting this you will become one with the world. This technique is not use to fight, rather is use to defend incoming attacks. By using the nature and force around your opponent you can send it back to them without expending your energy.

Lee what is the human greatest strength, which allow them to continuously survive from the beginning of life?

“Master, is it the knowledge that they obtain from each defeat?”

Close but not quite. It is the 5 sense within human. Sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Knowledge is a part of it but without these sense can they survive? No they would not, because knowledge requires observation, it require these 5 sense to help us know when to charge in and when to retreat.

However people have abuse these 5 sense and forgotten its true power. I was fortunate to discover this after almost losing everything I had gain. Lee this will be the greatest knowledge that I will pass on to you. You must learn continue to strive hard and practice.

“Yes master I will.” Lee slightly bowed showing his respect.

What are the eyes use for? Is it to see? No its not. Your eyes can deceive you whenever it wants. It is use for perceiving, learning, analyzing, and anticipating. Anyone with eyes can see. But those who hone their sight, can see past illusion, feint attacks, able to predict their opponent’s next attack, and many more. Eyes can be our strength and it can also be our downfall. For me I am blind, even if I can’t see I can still beat the shit out of you.

Oh master.

Hearing is use for discerning the change in the atmosphere. By honing this skill you can hear even the tiniest thing, not even an expert assassin can be able to surprise you. You are probably wondering why I didn’t mention listening. That is because hearing and listening are two different aspect. If you listen carefully, can you hear what is going around you? The answer is no, because you are focus in listening to one thing, you will consciously ignore everything around you. By mastering hearing, even if you listen to someone you can know everything that is going around you.

Smelling is not much of a use, however you can never be too careful when people use different drugs or poison. Even if they are have no trace of smell to them, with your sensitive nose you can distinguish the change in the air. By incorporating this with your breathing technique you can guarantee that your survival rate will be much higher. However don’t be too confident, even if you train to the highest level you can still fall under its influence. Always be cautious and prepare the worse.

Taste is what we all have. Everything you eat, you must savor. You must learn what is in each food, how it was made, and what differentiate from the rest. Therefore after leave this temple. You must EAT ALL THE DELICACY IN THE WORLD. That’s right meat. Those succulent pigs, roast beef, delicious ducks.

“….” Lee stared at his master. Though Wu had gave up his grand life to become a monk. Lee can see his master still linger the world outside of the temple.

Touch. This is the most important thing you will need to learn. Listen carefully Lee. You better fucking listen well, because you might regret this.

Looks like master regard this as the highest human sense, I must commit this to memory.

Touch is the highest feeling you can achieve when holding onto an object whether is rough like a rock or soft like silk. The greatest and most powerful sensation you will ever get is ….

His master gave a dramatic pause. Lee stood their shaking with excitement waiting for what his master will reveal to him.

BREAST. ASS. Those soft yet firm desirable treasure. Every man’s dream to acquire. Lee although you are a virgin, you must one day be able to claim those two treasure as yours. However, Lee I must warn you when choosing a girl, not only must you love her. You will have to cherish her and protect her with all your might. You just can’t fall in love with just anyone. You must choose the right one to be with you through your eternal life. Don’t go my route. In my lifetime I had 7 wives. Each one feel me with despair and misfortune. I am glad they are all dead now. Sheesh they nag every day, and they spend money like it was water.

Lee facepalm himself. His master was a major playboy. Lee couldn’t help but laugh inside wondering why his master chose to be a monk, instead of living lavishly. But Lee didn’t ask nor did he feel like asking.

Today, from sun down to sun up. You will master and memorize 500 breathing techniques, 500 stretching techniques, and 3000 Tai Qi techniques. You must memorize it as I will only show you once. You may be weak Lee, but with perseverance and hard work you will someday be strong. Probably not now, nor in the future. Probably in another lifetime.

With your Chronostasis eyes to slow down time, you will use them to enhance your training, as I demonstrate them in super speed. These move teaching you 4000 techniques will take forever, and I am too lazy to train you. So I will only do this once.

Concentrate and memorize.

Wu began to show his techniques at the speed that far surpass any human. He was like a demon. It someone were to walk by and saw this, they will only see a faint blur moving rapidly in the center of the forest. In Lee eyes, he saw everything. The precise movements of Wu steps, fingers, hands, arms, legs, and body. It was as if Wu is just dancing in front of him. Lee immediately put his mind into extreme focus. Memorize as hard as he can. He didn’t want to lose this opportunity as it is a once in a lifetime chance.

In the mere 2 hours, Wu had completed 4000 techniques and was exhaust. He dropped to the ground breathing heavily and look at Lee. He saw Lee eyes close and was in a deep state of focus. Wu finally catching his breath, got up, and began to silently carve the huge tree in front of him. He then quietly walked away not disturbing Lee. Walking straight to the temple, wanting to eat a large meal before heading to bed.

Lee incorporated all the 4000 techniques into his mind, soul and heart. It took him no more than 4 hours to memorize them. Lee nodded to himself, knowing this knowledge was engraved and he will never forget. Lee looked up, it was already night, the moon was shining brightly and he did not see his master. In front of him, under the pale moonlight were messages carved into the tree that his master left behind.

‘After you fully memorize, you will begin practicing all of them. Do not leave until you complete at least half the techniques I shown you. You will not stop for water nor will you stop to take a shit. You will stay there until you finish half of them. If you dare lied to me that you completed half when you get back. I will make sure you won’t be able to sit down for a month.’

“I will not let you down master.” Lee clasp his palm together and bowed.

The first 100 of this breathing techniques is the flow of inner energy within the body. By incorporating this the energy in my body will flow faster and more smoothly. But how will I know when I will achieve this? I better begin practicing.

Lee stand up straight, then began to put his foot at length shoulder. His body was in a relax state. The technique Lee is doing was Calming the Flow of Energy. Breathing in, his arms began to form a big circle. Both arms push out from below, then push up slowly, heading toward the center of his body. His arm relax once more, and his palm push down, then breathing out, his knee bent a little as palm came down. He repeated this method a couple of times before heading to the next technique, Pushing the Heavens and Earth.

With the one palm facing upwards and one facing downward at the center of his stomach. He began pushing them in the same direction they are facing, not forgetting to breathe in as they stretch as far as the heaven and as low as the earth. Breathing out, as the palm came down and interchange their position going the opposite direction with the palm switching from up to down and down to up.

After Lee had done 200 breathing techniques in the span of 4 hours, he move onto stretching. This was no ordinary stretching, every time his body stretch it had to be at a certain angle, speed, movement, releasing the correct amount of power, controlling the muscles, and doing it fluidly. Just like his master showed. Lee practiced and couldn’t get to where his master was doing it with ease. However Lee accomplish 200 stretching and it was midnight. The moon was at the highest point and shining brightly. Lee looked up to see the beautiful moon, but it was just a quick glance.

Tai Qi, the flow of movement. Each step and move was precise and graceful. The first technique Lee did was Flow with Wind which then follow by its counterpart Repel the Wind. Though there was little wind during the night breeze, Lee remain focus and began practicing. Lee move along the air, while his hands pushes with the wind. Lee then move his hand towards his chest slowly pulling it back, repelling the wind against the direction of the wind.

Next technique was Flow with Water and Turning the Tide. His arms like jelly but yet firm, pushing back and forth while standing still and only moving his arm. Lee notice finally notice something within his arms, his movement began to decrease. There was a hint of feeling surging in his arms.

Slower. Slower. I can feel a faint qi in my arms. I must do this more slowly.

Back and forth his hands move slow and calm as water itself. Satisfy with the condition, the faint qi lingers then slowly fade. Then he began to transition onto Turning the Tide technique. Like holding and revolving the ball in one hands. Lee was doing the same but each time Lee turns his hand while rotating his arms, he force a small qi out of his hands. Condensing this qi, he turn his hands with his arms straight in front of him, his arms moves like the tide itself, and his palm pushes forward and retract. The qi from his palm releases its force it was push out, then it gathers as the arms move back.

Lee began to understand why his master chose to cultivate him differently from the other monks. Every person can cultivate by absorbing the qi surrounding them by meditating, or by eating cultivation pill that can condense one’s qi and possible push them onto the next stage.

His master however told Lee to disregard this method, since it was too ordinary and unoriginal. By enhancing one’s body through breathing and exercising, and using nature to gather the energy and understand its principle will allow a person to reach the next stage more efficiently.

Lee thought it was the same concept. But his master denied it and say if it was the same, then his training would be meaningless and Lee could go find another master. By training will increase the stamina and endurance of the physical body. By using 4000 technique the inner qi will become stronger than those who cultivate the normal way. By enduring this will one mental strength can surpass a normal person and will be able to overcome immense stress in a life and death battle.

Lee practiced for many hours and time went by quickly. By the time he was done it was morning. He had completed 2000 techniques. His legs were trembling and his stomach growled. He can no longer hold on, he felled to the ground breathing heavily. His body had little energy left, he currently weak that he couldn’t get up to walk or crawl. Lee felt dizzy but he muster what’s left of his strength than began to roll his body towards the temple.
