Chapter 34 :
The phrase about that cooking pot and fire came into Will’s mind when in front of him stood a few dozen T-Rex riders who were all pointing their bows and claws and stuff at him and his group.
Not exactly the scenario that he thought of when he got out of his own base that was being overrunned by a bunch of giant ants and T-Rex look-alike riders.
(Well, it appears that I am going to have to do something drastic to get us out of here...what can I do anyways? My small puny cat zombie verus overnumbered, huge, strong, monsters. Yep, not gonna work here…)
-----------------------
DING!
Due to the host FINALLY leveling up a minion, the host can now enter the body modification screen.
---------------------------
Like a shining light in a world of darkness, like the ray of hope in a pool or despair - like a annoying dog that finally caught an intruder.
(This thing finally have some sort of use! Not that it should have given this message to me BEFORE when I met the requirements and evolved my zombie. More importantly, what does this thing do anyways?)
“FWLIP!”
A arrow went right through his small kitty leg.
(AHHHH! A ARROW TO THE KNEE!)
Due to the pain from the sudden attack, Will started to panick and somehow the screen in front of him changed into something that looked like one of those character creation screen for those really realistic games.
There was a character in the center, a cat zombie, and a bunch of different things to click to alter the character, then at the very bottom there was one of those cost bar things.
At the moment it says “1 MANA”.
(Alright...what is this? A game? Or...that thing I just unlocked?)
Figuring out the identity of the game-like screen in front of Will, he pressed down the feeling of pain and the loud noises that both the Beastkin girls and the T-Rex riders were making, and focused only on the screen.
(Something seem to be telling me that this is the thing that will help me get out of this mess…)
Looking over the controls, Will noticed one that read “Size”.
(Wonder what this does?)
Trying to interact with it using his mind, as there really wasn’t any other way that he could, a set of instructions appeared in his head that told him to imagine a monster or general idea for the size and shape of the creation.
(Guess this is a tutorial?)
While Will was kinda in his own little world, with a arrow to the knee, the rest of the creatures surrounding him were doing their own thing.
The T-Rex riders didn’t appear to want to kill them all, or at least not yet as they were surrounding the Beastkin girls and the unmoving Will. While the Beastkin girls were...um…
(Blake) “#&%#%^$, we’re all probably gonna get eaten. So anything we should do in this situation?”
In a very calm voice, Blake asked the rest of the group of their plans.
(Aqua) “Well, at least one of us can get out of this mess if we all work together. So who should live on?”
(Ruby) “Well if I’m gonna die, at least I’ll take down a few with me! I vote that @#[email protected]#$ should go!”
(Elvan) “Me? But if everyone else is gone then...I don't wanna go! I don’t wanna be alone! SNIFF, SNIFF..”
(Yang) “Hey, you think they’ll leave if @#[email protected]# goes and starts crying again?”

Yea, they don’t really seem all that scared of what was happening, and were just eyeing the surrounding T-Rex riders as they got closer and closer to them.
(AND, it’s done!)
In front of Will was a 3-D screen of a dragon like creature that resembles a western dragon with the leathery bat wings and lizard like body. However, it only had a small-ish problem, the entire body was covered in FUR.
FUR, not SCALES like a normal dragon, for all things must have some sort of CUTENESS in it, and a fluffy dragon can be way cuter than a scaly one.
On the sides of the screen, there was a place for height, which Will had promptly filled in with “100 Meters”.
Unfortunately for Will when he had gotten down to the cost bar, it says “1,000,000,000 MANA”.
Thus, he was forced to reduce the size until it was about the same size of the T-Rex look-alikes at about a 5-ish meters tall.
And the cost bar said, “50,000 MANA”.
(You know, I don’t really get how it’s getting the cost for this thing...should I alter it more?)
Then after a few more experiments, Will ended up with a dragon that had fur, a cat’s head, tail and legs and only a figure that resembles a dragon, that he named “Catgon”.
Which is why he now only had to pay a cost of “10 MANA”.
From what Will could tell, the more strength and such is included in the creation, the larger the cost to create it it.
As a result the Catgon he made was literally only a large cat thing that had practically no attack power at all, as Will figured he really only needed speed in this case. He also was forced to get rid of all the organs, except the brain as the original base was a zombie. So the Catgon also had almost no defense either.
Then he got rid of it’s 5 senses, including its pain receptors, except it’s sight and hearing. Along with a bunch of unnecessary fats and muscles useless for speed as since it was a zombie, there isn’t a need for stamina.
Then he got rid of the bones needed for the claws and such, and a bunch of other stuff, so that in the end, the Cation was literally a creation that was made to last for a short while before folding on itself as it’s body couldn’t support itself anymore.
In other words, it was a walking bare minimum for a Undead, and if any other creature was created this way, they wouldn’t even survive for a second before perishing.
And it all costed only 10 mana for a 5 meter tall, somewhat fast zombie, not a bad deal really.
(Well, guess I took a bit, good thing I can change everything using only my mind otherwise this would have taken me AGES. Time to summon this thing!)
Moving his imaginary finger on the cost bar, he “pressed” it and then used his skill.
“MEW MEW!” (Create Undead!)
This time underneath the Beastkin girls and Will, a black magic circle appeared that colored the grass and other plants into a dark black color.
With a feeling that he was rising up an elevator, Will and the Beastkin girls along with all of the cat undeads were laying on the back of the large 5 meter tall giant Catgon.
With a simple command from Will, the Catgon jumped over the surrounding T-Rex riders and bolted into the night forest, leaving a group of really confused T-Rex riders about where that weird looking monster came from.

Oh, and they were also pissed that their prey ran, so they got a bunch other riders and followed the giant Catgon.
(Man! Good thing I made sure to add in fur on this thing!)
Clawing and holding on to a bundle of fur, Will was able to stay on the moving Catgon as it moved away from the main force of the T-Rex riders.
Around Will, the Beastkin girls were also grabbing on to clusters of fur to prevent themselves from being dropped off.
Sadly, Will forgot to command his other undeads to do the same thing, so all of the zombies were blown off. However, it seems that the cat skeleton had more intelligence than the zombies as it had held on like Will to the Catgon.
(So, it seems like higher intellect is starting to show it’s worth! Well, I can’t just leave those zombies behind…)
So Will had the zombies chase the Catgon, as it continued moving in the forest.
(Well...I think we lost them? Maybe?)
The sound of yelling came from behind Will as he thought of that idea.
(Guess that didn’t wor- OUCH!)
As he got up from the grey fur of the Catgon and looked behind him, he had failed to notice the low hanging branch that then smashed the back of his head.
Good thing he had a strong neck and skull.
The trees and plants were getting closer and closer together as the Catgon run, making Will feel that soon they’ll have to stop due to the lack of space.
(Well...I guess we try to lose them this way?)
Crawling over to the group of Beastkin girls, Will pointed to over the side of the running Catgon and made a jumping motion with his tail.
They just stared back at him.
(Well..plan B?)
Opening his map, Will saw that there were like 50 flashing red dots behind the black dot that was the Catgon.
(...Plan C!)
The following T-Rex riders were following the trail of destruction the Catgon was making as it moved, and from what Will could tell they were slowly gaining on them.
However, his zombies were also behind him.
Using the somewhat replenished supply that he got back from his traps, Wil created Black spikes that jutted out from the trunks of trees as he passed them.
Then with a thought, as the leading T-Rex rider was running by, the group of 15 cat zombies fell from the trees and got on the body of the leading T-Rex and it’s rider.
From there, the cat zombies just simply overwhelmed the rider with numbers and completely ripped the poor dude apart.
As the other riders were behind in a single file since the path was really narrow, they couldn’t help out their friend from being ripped into pieces, good friends eh?
The now riderless leading T-Rex just kept running forwards, unable to really do anything else as the ones behind it also couldn’t stop even if they wanted to, so it ran right into the many meter long black spikes that Will had planted on the trees.
Screaming in pain, the riders behind the lone T-Rex collided with it, making the spikes sink deeper into the monster, until with a final struggle, the T-Rex died.
It didn’t just end there, like dominos, the following riders crashed into the growing pile of bodies that grew as more and more suffered the same fate of running into the now dead T-Rex blocking the road.
This created an even larger blockage of falling riders and green blood that sprayed outwards, coloring the grass and dirt beneath to a dark green.
Which was made more interesting when the cat zombies jumped the downed riders and T-Rex and began to claw and bite them with vigor.
As this was going on, Will and the Beastkin girls were getting more distance from their pursuers, while the last cat skeleton was told to take the rear and take any stray arrows that may have been fired.
(Well, guess that's enough? I did take out a good number of those riders...like 20ish? Pity the zombies couldn’t kill any of the T-Rex monsters. Well, at least they won’t be able to chase us anymore.)
Looking through the eyes of his last remaining cat zombie, as it watched an angry green rider shot a arrow right through it’s head. The bodies of the other 14 undeads were all killed in a similar way by the other riders. Some of which had gashes and chucks ripped off from their bodies, where green blood was pouring out like a fountain.
The T-Rex had some minor injuries but other than the leading riderless one, they had all managed to survive the sneak attack.
Blinking his eyes, Will returned back to looking through his kitty eyes as he felt the connection between the zombie disappear.
(Well, where are we?)
The Catgon had stopped running around and stood in place once Will knew that he was able to stop the riders from following them.
Around them, there was the usual green, trees, bushes and stuff. Nearby, a small part of a river or stream could be seen through some trees and the sound of water flowing was like music.
(For now, I think we should just say here then...wonder what I should do with this?)
Looking at the back he was standing on, Will could tell that the Catgon was reaching the end of it’s physical ability as parts of it’s legs was already shaking.
Just because you can’t feel pain doesn’t mean you are invincible, without anything to hold the body together, the body will just simply crumble.
(Well...then guess I’ll use it to upgrade the skeleton...speaking of the skeleton, what happened to those bones it got from the zombies? I don’t see anything different…)
Checking out the skeleton, it seemed just like the ones he made before, without any kind of bone weapons or anything.
Commanding it, Will had it show what it made, when from out of the bones of the skeleton, other bones came out and then detached themselves forming different items.
There was a helmet like thing, another set of claw gauntlets, and some kind of armor like object, each entirely made of white bones.
Jumping down from the 5 meter tall body of the Catgon, Will made a purrfect kitty finishing when he landed on all of his paws at once.
Then he had the Catgon lower itself down as that the Beastkin girls could also slid down.
Following Aqua’s lead, each of the girls timidly followed her as they disembark the moving kitty.
(Time to make another base I guess… better make this one ant prof-)
-------------------
DING!
The host has leveled up!
The job : Necromancer has leveled up!
The job : Tamer has leveled up!
---------------------
(Well. thats new…)
A bolt of agony hit Will as he thought that.
(And this ISN’T.)
Mewing out in pain, Will was relieved when he started to black out from the growing red hot agony he felt and returned back into the Darkness.
The Darkness? Will wondered where that came from as he was enveloped into the clutches of thoughtless sleep.
The Beastkin girls only saw Will start meowing loudly and then fall down, unconscious.
Then as if his body was a ball of water, ripples started from his head down to his tail, each time it was as if air was added into the mix as his body grew with each second.
His white fur grew longer and fluffier, his body grew from it’s small 2 feet length to almost 8 feet long. His head became taller than Aqua and his once tiny white fluffy wings turned into massive feathered wings that was even larger than his entire body, if fully stretched out, it had a wingspan of almost 20 feet.
Then the most interesting part appeared, his fur started changing color, from white to blue, form blue to red, each time his fur changed color, unnoticed Will’s eyes was also of the same exact color of his fur.
Of course the entire time Wil was completely unaware of what happened to his body, and was in his own little world in his head, probably chasing butterflies or something.
The fur color changed from one color to the next, until 2 hours or so later, it stopped.
By then the girls concluded that Will must had evolved and this was his evolution, so they weren’t was panicking as they were in the beginning. By now they thought of Will as at least a friendly monster, and in this was just another thing that the cute but weird little monster does all the time.
So them sitting nearby the schizophrenic chameleon was rather alright, besides it's not like they could run away anyways, as they had no means to defend themselves from other predators in the forest, and would most likely end up eaten by one thing or another.
----------------------
DEEP WIITHIN
(Red) “So it appears that we are now able to do as we wish. Any good ideas?”
(Green) “Why not plant stuff? Then we can steal all of their money from idiots who get caught trying to pick it.”
(Blue) “You know what? We all should just calm down and cool off, I think we should just watch and enjoy what happens to the main host.”
(Black) “I disagree! We should at least kill something! Or “help” another creature you know?”
(White) “Shut up Black! You know I hate it when you want to kill something!”
(Black) “HA! That’s like the pot calling the kettle black! Like you don’t want to sent someone off to the “light”.”
(White) “At least I don’t want to try making every single thing we kill fight for us after it's dead!”
(Grey) “SHUT UP! We should just help the main host and chop up everything that's in the way! I vote we slice all those stupid trees and just clear a flippin path through the damn forest, I’m really getting sick of only seeing the color green and brown.”
(Green) “So you’re sick of seeing me? Well, I really could care less, but you better not just randomly start killing those helpless plants. If they could counterattack you then I wouldn’t mind. Besides, it would have a higher chance of killing the host as it would cause far too much disturbance.”
(Brown) “So, everyone why don’t we just let things go? Just wait for a while…”
(White) “O HELL NO! The last time we agreed with you, we waited until now to start this meeting. You and Blue can both shove it up your as*!”
(Blue) “Hey, I was just waiting for the events to flow on, so - YOU BETTER NOT SCREW WITH ME!”
(Black) “Man, I really like how it's the quiet ones that have like another personality that shows up with they’re angered.”
(????) “SILENCE!”
The sounds of talking stopped.
(????) “Show yourselves.”
Following the command each of the voices, some who hadn’t even spoken out, one by one, as if created out of thin air, manifested into existence.
Some had shapes that resembles animals, others had ones that was closer to humanoids, and still others had vague, unknown and unique shapes that doesn’t resemble anything.
Each of their sizes also differed, big massive creatures, and small tiny humanoids. Moderate sized unknown shapes and ones that was so small they resembled dust particles.
And in the center of the gathering of entities, there was a giant transparent orb floating.
In the center of the orb, there was a black core, like a black hole that was trying to suck in the light from outside.
(????) “So, now that the chatter has ceased. We will now start the meeting!”
The floating orb was surrounded by the other entities as they stood around it, each in their own way illuminating the emptiness that they called the meeting place.
(????) “Right now, the main host isn’t aware of what he has lost. I feel that it would be better for him to never remember if I can help it. Your opinions?
Sounds of agreement was heard from everyone present, even if they had differing opinions and ideas. In the end they have only one goal, to assist the main host.
(????) “Then it’s agreed, we’ll try to contain the darkness as much as we can. However, I feel that we will have to someday deal with it head on. Either by completely destroying it, or allowing it to integrate with us.”
(Black) “Why not just kill it now?”
(????) “That is where the problem is, if we take it out right now, then there will be parts of the main host that will disappear as they are connected. Destroy the darkness, and the main host loses all of his memories as well as parts of his personality, leaving almost a empty shell behind. That cannot happen, and if that does, then we all will also lose our own existence as well.”
(Brown) “That was what I was trying to say, there’s no point to even starting a meeting like this anyways. We can only wait until the main host have gotten stronger both mentally and physically before we can attempt to even figure out a solution.”
(Black) “And how long will that be? Until the host dies? Until the host have the strength to become god or something?”
(White) “While Black’s sarcasm is annoying, I do have to say that we actually do have something that we can do with this meeting - we can start to discuss how we’re going to start our own personal trainings.”
(????) “White here is correct, the main point of this meeting wasn’t really about the Darkness. We’re here to figure out what we do with ourselves now that the host has managed to evolve successfully.”
(Grey) “Hey, I’m curious about one thing, why can we now assist the host, when before we were forbidden from helping? This really doesn’t make much sense, we should’ve been helping the host from the start!”
Other entities also threw out their complaints once Grey had taken the lead.
Their chatter grew louder as other also joined in, asking the essential question - why didn’t they help out?
(????) “SILENCE!”
That single word was like a tide, it swallowed up every single one of them and completely erased their ability to make a sound.
(????) “The REASONING for my decision, was that I was looking at the long-term effects of the choice.”
Emphasizing it’s words, it continued to speak to each of the entities present.
(????) “Had we chosen to help the host out when it was still in its weakest form, we would have all have a dramatic drop in the amount and strength of our power. We are too strong for the tiny container that was the main host, and it would have only resulted in two things. One we get rid of the extra power that can’t fit in the small container, or we try to force our power in and blow up the container - which in case it isn’t apparent - we would have also perished with the host.”
Once the Orb had spoken, the others stayed silent for a long time, until finally another creature spoke out.
(Orange) “So, then I’m guess that now that the host has evolved, we can now fit in all of our power into the container?”
(????) “That is correct.”
Another period of silence followed.
(Grey) “Alright, fine! I guess you made a good choice under the circumstances. So let’s go with the main point here. We are all now able to start our own training, correct?”
(????) “That’s right, however, their is a rather large problem.”
(Black) “What is it THIS time? We don’t got the materials or something?”
(????) “No. Our problem is just something rather annoying. Our training will be reduced heavily, if we train for 100 days, it’s just the same as 1 day.”
(White) “So, we have to work a hundred times harder? That’s - not really that much of a problem.”
(????) “Yes, that’s why I just said it was annoying, not really a big issue for all of us.”
(Blue) “Well, then I’m going to start then, I’m guessing that’s it for this meeting?”
(????) “Yes, with this we are finished. Each one of you should start immediately.”
Right after it’s finishing sentence, all of the different entities vanished from view, leaving only the Orb floating there silently. While within, the black core looked as if it was continuing to try sucking even the light surrounding it.
------------------------
A flash of flames appeared in an entirely white empty space, and silently hovering out of the inferno was a massive bird-like shape covered in burning flames.
(Red) “Time for us to help out. For we, who you created, are all connected.”
The bird-like figure spoke, and then as if a bomb went out from inside itself, the bird-like figure exploded. Each and every part of the flame body turned into tiny spheres of burning fire, they gathered and formed two much larger balls of fire that hovered where the flame bird once was.
Within each ball, was a smaller version of the bird-like entity, as if it was in it’s own created world, within the two balls was two completely different surrounding.
One was in a place that was like hell, flames curled and twisted, completely covering the entire thing, where in the middle hovered the smaller bird-like entity.
In the other, the surrounding was like that of the deep ocean, completely engulfed with water where the other smaller bird-like entity quietly hovered.
Then like before, each of the two balls silently blew up, and formed into smaller balls of flames.
This process continued on, until in the bird-like figure’s place, hovered countless tiny balls of flames each holding their own tiny bird-like figure within their own world.
It was then that the training for Red finally started.
It was also the same starting line where each of the other entities also begun from for their own training, each hoping that they will be of assistance to the main host.
That was one of the reasons why they were created for after all.
