Chapter 23 :

The sounds of a heated discussion woke Will up.

Yawning, Will opened his closed eyes.

The first thing reflected was the circle of talking beastkin girls. They still had dirt and leaves all over themselves, making even their fur and skin color unknown. The dim morning light casting a faint shadow over them, making a circular shadow on the sandy ground.

They appeared to be trying figure something out, what that is exactly remains unknown to Will.

(Didn’t I get that translator thingy? Why isn’t it working? I only hear gibberish whenever they say anything….)

Opening up his status.

(Seems like all of my mana restored at least. But I really an gonna need to starting grinding my levels, or get eaten by those T-Rex look alikes…)

Opening to the translating screen.

Language Acquisition : Beastkind Language.

Current Progress : 64%

(Oh look! It seems….different? I don't remember it saying what language and that progress bar is much higher than the 0% before….maybe it's because I’m listening to them talking so it increases the speed?)

While thinking, Will got up from his spot and went to see how the pool was doing.

Currently, it was seems like it was almost 70% finished with the digging.

(Wow! Zombies really do work fast! No fatigue, no wages, no food costs, the BEST workers ever!)

Sadly they had all returned back to mana overnight.

Pulling out the 5 cat zombies he stored the night before, Will had them return to working on digging the pool.

See that Will was getting back to work, the beastkin girls stopped talking and watched him as he went around the small area left of the clearing.

Creating another foot long black box, Will’s stomach reminded him that he needed breakfast before trying to do anything.

Calling over one of the 5 zombies, he sent it out to fetch him fruits.

The pile of “Purple Bananas” near the beastkin girls were for them. Never know when they might have a food shortage. This is a MAGIC world after all.

Returning with a bunch of fruits in it’s mouth, the zombie dropped it at Will’s feet.

Ordering it back to work, Will quickly finished off the random fruits that was gathered.

(Phew! Good! Time to get back to work! Now what to start with?)

Seeing how a good portion of the pool was made, he decided that it should be best for him to start making some sort of container for the liquid inside of the hole.

Mentally preparing himself again for the massive hunger aches he’ll receive as a result. Will walked closer of the hole being dug.

(Now how should I make this? It needs to hold water, but needs a way to get rid of the water after using it…. Whatever, I’ll just burn everything inside it! Yep, yep, no need to think too hard on things like this. Just boil everything until it's all gone! Plus it's good for me to level up my “Fire Breathe” Skill. Two bird with one stone!)

Picking a extremely stupid solution, though somewhat useful, Will set off to make a smaller version of the pool he planned to create.

(Let’s see, black spikes for the base. Then increase the height of it from the base. Alright!)

In front of Will, was a small foot tall black pool figurine. The base was a circular shape that matched the same shape the zombies were digging, and had no opening other than the top. It looked like a small circle washbasin.

The beastkin girls a few meters away, noticed the small object. Standing up, they walked over to Will who was monitoring the zombies as they work.

Watching as another zombie, filled with dirt that it swallowed dash outside using the black bridge to dispose of it. A shadow casted over his small frame as he looked up to see the beastkin girls looking back at him.

(Nice! It seems that they are more friendly now, yay! Now if only I can speak, then I could ask them questions about this world….but first they should really get clean. Can’t even see what they look like….or the type of beastkin they are….)

Will calmly stared back at the leading beastkin girl, beastkin girl #4, as he had no names that he could give them otherwise.

She attempted to communicate with him, trying to tell or ask him something.

But what Will heard was :

(Beastkin girl #4) “@#[email protected]#%&%$?”

Still no help from that translator…

Seeing that he didn't understand, she and the rest of the beastkin girls stepped backwards and sat down closer than before, as they observed him.

(Well… kinda weird, but whatever. I still need to test some things. Might as well use all the mana I have to make more minions, otherwise there’s no point of me being able to regenerate it.)

Chanting his magic, a black circle appeared in front of him. The beastkin girls nearby clearly saw the magic being created as they were less than a meter away from the end of the circle.

Vanishing, the black circle was replaced by 5 cat zombies standing still on the sandy ground.

(Creating this many at once is my limit...I wonder why? Still need to make more, gotta try for maximum amount!)

Repeating the spell 2 more times, in front of Will stood a group of 15 unmoving cat zombies, awaiting their command.

Will quickly stored 10 of them inside his storage, before deploying the rest to only gather more “Spiky Needle Balls”.

Instantly following his orders, the cat zombies ran out of the base in search of the item their master wanted.

Checking that the zombies went out, Will saw how the beastkin girls were just sitting there and didn’t seem to have any problems.

Happy that there wasn’t any kinds of issues from them, Will started on making the base of the pool.

-----------------------

(This is the last bit!)

Swallowing the “Spiky Needle Ball” in his mouth, Will’s paws laid on top of the meter wide black circular pool. Producing more spikes from his paws, he made it cover the last bit of the rim that stood 5 meters tall.

(The pool container seems to have been finished, and it seems that the digging had also been finished a while back….)

Turning around to look at the 5 unmoving zombies as they stood still under the afternoon light that passed through the dense treetops.

(Now we just need to fit this thing in the hole! Then I just need to squeeze all of these “Spiky Needle Balls” inside and test my first mew made pool!)

All hyped up for the first test, Will seemed to forgot that his rather tall meter wide black pool was rather heavy.

While the hole wasn't too far away, about a meter and a half away, moving the entire pool into the hole was quite the challenge.

(I fuc*ked up didn’t I? Well actually I can use my minions to push it in. Yeah, a good plan!)

Calling over the 5 standby zombies, Will had them push it with their bodies to move it into the hole dugged out.

The zombies loyally obeyed the order, pushing with their entire strength against the black pool.

Inch by inch, it slowly moved forwards, sliding against the yellow sandy ground.

Then with a strong push, the pool fell into the hole.

(I thought for a minute I had to completely redo all this….good thing I didn't have to. Just have to put in the “water” and then BAM got me a bath!)

Looking behind him to the massive pile of “Spiky Needle Balls” that the 5 zombies were still gathering. Will started the process of removing all of the spikes and putting the squishy insides into a large meter long black box he made.
