《The Immortals of Pandora》Chapter 26

Leaving Charles to Ur, Abrax moved away from the duo to avoid damage to his toys.
Abrax had mixed with his Grinder Worm called Mott, just like Ur had combined with his Wasp H. This was weaker than fighting with their bodies while using the monsters, but it was only method at the moment.
It was the only method because they might get killed if they fought directly. It was a huge risk fighting someone backed by an immortal.
Regardless, Mott was strong enough to fight everyone present on the battlefield.
The huge body moved deeper into the forest towards the river while being visible. The huge body left a visible trail of destruction as it moved.
Noah and the others didn't know what Abrax was thinking, but they took the chance to attack.
Noah commanded his warriors to attack with everything they had, since they couldn't hold back against such a beast.
With his large blade, Noah unleashed a slash attack using the fire lion Ki. It contained twenty percent of his energy. It was the energy style that all warriors under Charles knew so it was best for group tactics, since the members could combine the attacks.
The attack was an indicator for others, as they aimed for the same place.
Maya specialized with the bow so she took aimed and shot a charged shot.
The others also utilized their energies, causing a synergic effect. All of them were used to each other and knew how to combine their moves.
With Noah's attack taking the lead, the energies combined together to form a huge majestic lion that crashed into Abrax.
Abrax had been taking them lightly and didn't expect group tactics from villagers.
Other than not being vigilant towards them, Abrax didn't expect their attacks to harm him.
The boost from the blessing was tremendous. It didn't just boost the stats, as it also boosted the level of the skills.
Even if the user was an amateur at the skill, during the current battle they had all been boosted to master level.
Furthermore, it was a group attack. Twenty five warriors had attacked Abrax, and all of them had their attack boosted.
The moment of inattention caused Abrax to get heavily damaged on the area of impact. The lion crashed into his back, near the head and forced him to smash in to the ground.
Huge parts of his flesh were incinerated, but closed up due to the heat.
Abrax screamed due to the sudden pain, causing tremors all around and shockwaves.
Nonetheless, he didn't go on a mindless rage fest and healed his body after letting out the scream.

He was definitely angered by the move and decided to make them suffer for it.
His body healed completely and Earth armor covered him up for further protection. He moved forward while releasing a small move to keep his foes on their toes.
Noah and the group were surprised at the attack themselves. It brought them great joy and showed them the wonder of the immortals.
They understood the blessing and were overjoyed as they wouldn't just win the battle, but would also get benefits beyond it.
Their understanding of their skills would increase and their bodies would have lasting effect.
The giant Leo had burned everything within their vicinity and the tremors had caused further damage.
The displaced earth rose up into the air and shot towards the group like machine gun fire. The ground was shaped into sharp spikes and shot at them with speeds hitting Mach 30.
The protection brushed of the move and allowed the group to pass through safely.
Regardless, it did push them back with each impact.
The bullet colliding with their body would have turned them into red mist, but now the bullet was turned to powder while they were pushed back a step.
Their belief in Athena increasing, the group charged towards Abrax with overpowering spirit.
Abrax arrived at the river and turned towards his enemies while creating a dome around them.
Earth rose up and turned into huge walls that blocked their retreat.
He wasn't surprised by the protection but it had made him change plans. He couldn't kill them, and he was reminded of that clearly.
Abrax felt the group surround him from all sides and unleash a net of energy to trap him.
It was a typical response to a large beast and Abrax would have easily brushed it off, but he was forced into a struggle.
Using his earth energy, he fought against the net while causing a tremor.
The earthquake made the warriors lose their balance and allowed Abrax freedom to attack.
The land under the warriors sent them flying into the sky while Abrax shot them with metallic spikes from his body.
The spikes were jagged and spun for additional damage. These spikes hit the targets squarely in the chest and carried them even higher into the sky.
None of them were able to react to the attack, buy none were really injured by the move.
Abrax watched as they fell from the sky and was about to follow up with a stronger move, when the wall was damaged from one side.
It was Charles flame wave that crashed into the wall and destroyed it.

Following that he was hit by the pull from the flame tornado and was forced to resist. It distracted him while Edward finally met up with Noah.
The earth dome had separated them. Seeing Charles confident moves, Edward chose to support Noah's group.
Taking lead of the group, Edward used the berserker ability. It wasn't as potent as Charles but it gave a boost in power.
Using the distraction from the cyclone, Edward commanded the group of fifty warriors to sync.
He brought down his axe for a flame slash and the sync affect unleashed an overwhelming power.
It completely covered up Abrax as Edward was unable to fully control the power into a focused move.
Regardless, the attack blasted Abrax off his feet and almost sent him towards the cyclone.
The attack destroyed his armor, that was all and he dove into the earth.
Diving into the earth, the group found themselves sinking into the earth as the ground turned to quicksand.
The battle was done and all the warriors were trapped.
All their efforts were futile, but so were the enemy’s attempts to damage them.
Abrax suddenly heard a warning and tried to escape but, Charles dove into the earth.
Abrax swam under the earth naturally because of his innate abilities, while Charles was like the Terminator and within a single charge it was over.
Abrax was unlucky unlike his friend and his Grinder Worm was destroyed by the Charles relentless attack, which made a huge crater under the forest.
The powerful regeneration ability of the worm was unable to keep up and Abrax woke up in his real body.
While all that was going on, Mars had escaped the region and come across Duke. Duke was Jack's son and a hybrid beast, jaguar and bear.
Jack and Max were taking out the Wasps while the others were distracted by the new enemies.
Seeing Duke chilling in the river stopped Mars in his steps. The beast was a Shadow Hybrid with best of both worlds.
He decided to take it with him and utilized his mind abilities that could control monsters, even other humans.
But, it didn't work. Just like the warriors, Duke was part of the hero group and got the protection.
Seeing it fail, Mars summoned his partner to take him down so that he could capture it.
Appearing from ring was a group, not a single beast. His only beast at the moment was a Dark Raptor called Jason.
It was 2 meters in height and extremely vicious looking. It was dark in color with an evil presence.
Its skin was like living darkness and moving.
Mars had been training with it for many years before breeding it and starting a hunting squad since the creature was a group Hunter.
The dark raptor was from the primal species that existed and survived to the current age. It was inherently more powerful than the normal type creatures.
Seeing the squad appear, Duke was startled and started running without hesitation.
He moved through the shadows while moving the earth on the other side.
But, the Dark Raptors easily locked onto him and pursued him.
Seeing the creatures negate his shadow ability and bite at his legs, Duke turned towards his safe zone.
He quickly came into the clearing where Richard and Rose were talking about elements.
"Enemies incoming!" Duke shouted as he came to a stop and got ready for battle.
He had felt the increase in power and the protection, so there was no need to escape. Especially, since he wasn't fast enough to outrun the creatures.
With his shout, the duo responded accordingly and looked towards the direction from where he arrived.
The duo had come to know him in the morning. Though, they weren't really close.
Richard stood up from the boulder beside the river and looked at the Dark Raptors appearing in the clearing.
Just from their appearance he could tell that they were extremely fast. Their energy levels were higher, and all of them were foundation level.
Richard and Rose were below that level while Duke was foundation stage.
Five Foundation stage was too much, but they couldn't escape and he didn't want to escape. They were blessed and protected, so their victory was inevitable.
"Rose, take this opportunity to polish your skills. We will not be harmed." Richard muttered with a smile as he equipped his helmet and took hold of his blades.
He didn't equip his shield and took hold of a short sword in the left hand while the long sword was in the right hand. Hearing his words, Rose was reassured of the situation. She had been talking to Richard and taken him as mental support since the fear had been mind breaking.
His words held power on her mind
“Yes!” Rose replied with a smile as she took hold of her blade and looked at Richard’s back that gave her a sense of safety and assurance.

Beyond the Horizon's Eye
It is less than two weeks after the event known as the Flux Causality, and two days after the Grand Council has put forth the edict demanding the immediate retrieval and deletion of all Stringhoppers. Finding such Travelers, however, is proving more difficult than expected. A young boy and his sister find themselves violently taken from their world to another, and soon thereafter are forcibly separated. Now sold into slavery, the young man must find not only a reason to survive but a purpose to carry him home. The journey has just begun, and the hardest step is always the first one. ~ This is my attempt at both the Xianxia/Wuxia and Portal/Isekai genre of fiction that I love, and the means to provide a story set in such guidelines, while distancing myself from some of the more common tropes. I do hope you enjoy the story I shall endeavor to tell. ~ Average post between 1000 - 3000 words. This is a work in progress, and will be edited and adjusted over time. If you’re interested in something a bit more GameLIT, you might want to check out my second story on Royal Road, “The Dawnfire Archives”. My newest story is a combination of both genres, but with a female main character at the helm. Feel free to check out "The Card Thief of Culnivar"!

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.

Artifice: Iysinfyr
Nalulthyn is the young daughter of a duke that is one day asked for a favor. This favor involves the adopted daughter of the duke from a neighboring area. This girl has had a traumatic past and has closed herself off from the world completely and reacts violently when touched by anyone but her personal maid. The duke hopes that a girl close to the age of his adoptive daughter will be what she needs to recover, but things are never as easy as they seem. First is that this adopted daughter is a Terran, a rare being from a different world that has skin and hair as white as snow and an almost alien build. Second is that there is a power to this girl, one that makes her recovery all the more dangerous to Nalulthyn and perhaps beyond. Author's note: This is a soft reboot of Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As I wrote the other story years ago I felt it would be better to do this approach as my writing has changed and improved since then. For now only two characters will return though I might reintroduce others later in the story. Even though this has the gore tag, I don't plan on being excessive with it. Most chapters shouldn't have any. The only reason I have it is to be realistic with the descriptions.

The artwork for the different arcs is done through wombo.com. This is just something I write in my free time. Schedule: Fridays, sometimes on Mondays as well. English is not my first language, so there is a chance for lousy grammar to pop up now and then.
