Richard couldn’t ignore them and could only act that he was like the rest. Noah walked up to Charles and greeted them.

Walking to his father’s side, Richard also greeted them.

“Good morning my lord, how can I be of service?” He didn’t want to bow to anyone but it would leave a wrong impression and he didn’t want to give his parent’s another problem.

It was just temporary so he just didn’t have to take it to heart.

Charles looked at him and felt that the boy wasn’t so bad. His tone and words were clear, it didn’t sound like it came from a villager.

It felt like the boy had been living in a city. Even Lance and Rosalina also noticed it, as they were focused on him and visited the city all the time.

“Boy, what do you think of my arrangement?” Charles asked while giving them the signal to get up. He was curious how the boy thought. He had heard about him, but never really talked to him.

‘Nonsense’

“I am honored. I can see the wisdom of the late child bearing, so I have no issue with it. I shall serve with honor and fight for the Harrison House.”

The answer was really different from what others would have thought at his age. Charles was happy that the boy understood why he didn’t want them to have kids at a younger age.

Not many understood and couldn’t control themselves. It was the history of the world that with selective breeding, humanity grew stronger over the ages while those that were not careful had lost their place.

Humanity and all species grew stronger over time, because of the evolution of their knowledge and selective breeding.

The species in the current date were much stronger than the ones that existed thousands of years ago. Intelligence level increased and the species utilized Ki with higher level of expertise causing the massive changes over time.

Of course, not everyone thought things through and many strong bloodlines had fallen into mediocrity.

‘He saw the wisdom of the decision. But, did he also understand why I allowed the marriage?’ Charles was curious if the boy could think such things.

“Good, I am happy that you understand. Now get inside the field and spar with Lance. I wish to see your level of expertise, so I can provide accurate guidance… Lance, take it slow and don’t take it too seriously.” Charles smiled and spoke before turning to Lance, reminding him to avoid hurting Richard.

“Understood” Lance muttered as he walked into the circle and dropped his weapons.

Richard stood on the other side wearing his leather armor, just like Lance. Going without it would be better in a way, but no one fought battles without armor.

“Good morning Lance, let us have a friendly spar without any bad feelings.” Richard greeted Lance as the boy looked at him.

They weren’t strangers and knew each other. Lance had beaten him in spars multiple times because of the difference between their power levels.

“Did you improve since last month?” Lance asked as he hadn’t sparred Richard since he broke through, unlocked his Ki.

“I did. I hope you will be satisfied.” Richard smiled as he said those words, remembering that Lance was a battle maniac.

The young boy loved to fight strong foes. It was in his blood.

Charles’s father had used the life blood of the Red Bull to transform the bloodline of his children. It had killed his two sons and left Charles as the only one.

Charles inherited the powers of the Bull and surpassed his father. Edward was a sick bastard that could do anything for his goals.

Charles hated him with passion but didn’t kill him because the man had his uses.

Nonetheless, it gave Lance many advantages. He had high affinity to flames and strength type techniques. He was blessed with physical strength and the berserk ability.

“Oh, you sound confident.” Lance felt a smile creep on to his face as he heard those words.

With that, the battle started and everyone watched them.

Lance lunged towards Richard and the reincarnated did so as well.

Richard collided with Lance and felt his bones rattling. The strength difference was obvious so he didn’t contend any further.

Letting him push forward, Richard put his foot forward and body dropped him in one go. He had been there for a week and trained for hours the day before, so he found it natural.

Even before he awoke, Richard had been using grapping that he saw in his dreams. The dreams consisted of the anime, movies, games and actual training that Richard had done in real life.

Richard was a red belt in Jujitsu and knew some kick boxing, which wasn’t much but you couldn’t have it all.

The body drop wasn’t the end of the match as Lance caught Richard’s arm. His arm was caught but that didn’t matter as Richard followed with a punch to the face.

Lance shifted and it hit his forehead, causing pain to the fist.

Following that, he pulled Richard down towards him. Richard operated his Ki and pulled away as he felt Lance’s strength grow.

Lance had used body enhancement so kicking him would have damaged Richard and allowed him to fall in to a trap.

Richard watched Lance get up with a smile. He walked towards him with his arms ready for combat.

They both got closer and Lance threw a punch at him for a starter. Richard blocked the punch from the inside, avoiding the damage.

It was a fast punch, so he needed to keep some Ki enhancing his eyes as well along with his arms. Without it, Lance would overpower him too easily.

Following the block, Richard gave him a quick counter to the face and caught his other into a hold. Lance had expected the grappling move and caught Richard.

With a ferocious shout, Lance went with a headbutt to the face and disoriented Richard before following with a kick to the abdomen.

Richard felt his nose almost break from the impact. It hurt a lot but he still focused on the spar and managed to put his arms up in defense.

The kick sent him back and Richard went with it, lowering the damage done.

Moving energy to his legs, Richard went for his foes right leg that had just kicked him.

Lance also saw it coming and kicked Richard with his left. But, Richard hadn’t planned to tackle him or perform a lock.

He went low and sweeped with his leg at the same time as it was expected that Lance would go for a kick.

Lance lost his balance with the kick and Richard followed it with another to his head.

The kick to the head was sharp and dazed the young boy, causing him to crash to the ground again. Richard didn't stop as he continued and caught his foe in to cross-arm bar. It was an unexpected move that hyper extended the shoulder joint and elbow.

It wasn’t a normal one as Richard utilized Ki to give him the extra boost as Lance was also using it.

The bones were hard as steel so Richard quickly moved on and kneed Lance in the face before catching him into a chokehold.

It was unfortunate for Lance that he was more proficient at weapons and that Richard had seen too many martial art moves that he could replicate with his current abilities.

Richard was on his back as Lance had rolled to the side and his legs were around the waist and arms while his arms were around the neck.

Lance was resisting with his body enhancement and was panicking as he hadn’t experienced suffocation. With his immense strength, he tried to move his arms from the grip.

It was the first time Richard had used such a move, so it was a surprise.

Richard focused on his legs with Ki while pressing the neck with just pure strength. He knew he couldn’t hold Lance back for long.

Regardless of his expectations, Lance managed to break through the grip and grabbed his leg.

With a savage pull, Richard was untangled from Lance and smashed into the ground that his body rattled.

It was lucky that he had done the full body enhancement at the last moment.

Lance seemed to have been enraged after being experiencing such a thing, but Charles voice brought him back to his senses.

The battle had gone in an unexpected direction. No one thought that Lance could do so much against Lance since he always lost.

None of them knew that Richard had known many moves but was unable to fully imagine them and utilize them without Ki.

It was clearly Richard’s win, but Lance would still win in a real battle. Lance hadn’t used his full strength while Richard was already done.

Nonetheless, it was impressive beyond belief. Rosalina couldn’t deny it and she could see her future husband easily beating her in battle without weapons and elemental skills.

Charles was very happy at the sight. He hadn’t expected the result, but to him it was an unexpected gift. He didn’t mind Richard having better fighting talent than his boy.

Richard would always be a warrior while his son was going to be the leader.

“Wonderful, I am truly impressed my boy. You have an exceptional talent in combat to come up with such unique moves. From now on practice at the manor where I will teach you more about Ki, so we can quickly enhance your strength. It seems that the common method is only limiting your progress.” Charles was very happy with the performance that he wished to quickly set Richard on the right path, getting rid of the low level techniques.

His body enhancement and Ki refining technique were the common type, so just changing them alone would give him a boost in power.

“I am honored by the praise, my lord. I will do as you command.” Richard felt extremely tired and hurt. He could barely muster up those words.

It wasn’t easy fighting with such low level reserves. Lance managed to lower them very fast as Richard was forced to counter his enhanced body.

“You are going to marry Rose, so just call me father from now on. You don’t need to bow and speak in such a manner anymore. We are family now.” With the spar, Charles didn’t feel any resistance in accepting Richard as family.

To him, he now had two powerful bloodlines at his disposal. Both Lance and Richard’s children would be part of the Harrison house.

His words were unexpected but Richard went with the flow and nodded.

“I understand, father.”

The change in tone was very quick that Charles found it weird, but ignored it.

“Good, now take care and I will see you later.” Charles patted his back and walked away with Noah, leaving Rose and Lance behind.
