The crab and the centipede were almost dead. They were bleeding profusely from many wounds and were very sluggish. The Girls were getting ready to finish it off, I was about to kill mine as well when they both started vibrating. It was really weird to see two large creatures vibrate like this. The creatures were also gettig closer to each other. I had a bad feeling about what they were about to do, and I was right. The two creatures got right next to each other and then started to merge. Their flesh contorting and writhing about melding with each other in a very sickening manner. I could hear bones popping and flesh ripping as the monsters reformed themselves into one giant....Thing.
I wasnt sure how strong it would be when it was done and I didnt want to find out. I immediately sheathed my sword and pulled out my gun, firing several rounds into the creature before it could finish transforming. My gunfire woke the girls out of their stupor and they started fighting with me. We were doing tons of damage to the creature but it didnt react at all. All the holes I was making in its body with my gun simply resealed themselves moments after appearing. I even tried using the flamethrower function in my gun but even that had no effect on this monstrocity. I was quickly running out of ideas, as were the girls by the look of it. They were tired from fighting the centipede for so long and they could tell they werent actually hurting it. I did the only thing that came to my mind, I started using my mana to attack it. I used every single type of mana yet they did nothing, it wasnt until I used purple mana that I actually got a reaction from it. I created a small disk of purple mana and threw it at the creature. It embedded itself deep into the flesh of the monster and started violently sucking at the rest of its body. Loudly ripping chunks from it as it dug itself deeper into the things body. It made sounds I didnt want to recognize, but obviously meant that it was in pain. I made a ball of purple mana as that disk wasnt going to last long, The thing noticed me and seem to realize that I was a threat. It lashed out at me with gross fleshy tentacles and smacked me really hard on my side, sending me flying towards the girls and making me lose my concentration on my mana. The ball of purple mana fizzled out of existence as I landed on Three and Five. They saw me coming and tried to catch me but I just had too much momentum and we all hit the floor knocking the wind out of Five. The rest of the girls helped me up and pulled Three and five out of harms way. I had to dodge immediately as the monster was still targeting me with tentacles, it was completely ignoring the girls at the moment. I had an idea, I couldnt get enough time to make a purple mana ball big enough to kill it because it kept swinging at me with its ever increasing number of tentacles. But I could distract it.

I started making tiny purple mana balls and throwing them at the monster, it tried to swat them away but any tentacle that touched them got sucked into it. It was getting frustrated so It kept making more and more tentacles and throwing them at me, not even trying to swipe at me anymore it was just trying to crush me like a bug. But everytime It threw one at me I threw a ball at it and it got sucked up. It was freaking out now, using more tentacles to try and get the other ones out of the small purple balls. It was fully distracted now, I started charging up a big one after telling the girls to take cover behind some machines that were secured to the floor. I made it about the size of a boulder, not at big as the creature but definitely big enough to kill it. It noticed me and made some extra large tentacles, launching them at me but it was too late. My purple mana attack was complete and ready. I Strengthened my arms with red mana and threw it with all of my remaining strength at the monster, throwing whatever red mana was left into my legs and sprinting behind a large secured machine. The purple mana boulder struck it right in where a face would be if it had one. The only noise following was its weird screetching and the loud sound of ripping. A wind started pulling everything towards it. Even gravity seemed to change slightly to make things try and fall into the purple void. It was getting stronger by the second, I could see the girls from my spot and they had tied themselfs the the part of the machine that was bolted to the floor and were hanging on for dear life. I didnt have any rope and I was exhausted from using soo much mana in such a short amount of time that all I could do was use what little strength I had left to hang on to the legs of the machine I was hiding behind. The wind became louder, it was now a roar that I could feel deep in my gut. The wind was now ripping at my clothes and pulling everything not nailed down or secured into the votex of purple mana. The creature was still emitting its terrible screams, the sound of the rushing wind was barely loud enough to drown it out. I closed my eyes and tried to just hang on and wait it out. There was nothing else I could do at the moment. It took almost an hour for the winds to become bearable, I actually managed to enter a meditative state, so I only knew because the girls came over and woke me. They saw that I wasnt moving and were worried.

"Ah, dont worry I was just meditating. I was tired from the fight and needed to try and recuperate a little." I told them, almost screaming so they could hear me over the wind.
They nodded and helped me up. The wind was still fierce but we could handle it. I walked from behind the machine to see what was left of the monster. Its screaming had stopped long ago according to the girls, it was replaced by a gross gurgling sound and then nothing. The creature was still there but now there was a huge hole right through it. It resisted being sucked in as long as it could, but in the end it still died. The purple boulder had shrunk down to about the size of a coconut and was still ripping chunks of its flesh and bones and eating them greedily. It was disgusting to watch but at least the damn thing was dead now. The girls said nothing as usual, I think I scared them again.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

The Blackgloom Bounty
In the dark days before the end of the first millennium, Scotland (or Scotia as some called it) was a leaderless hodgepodge of tribes, clans and warring factions all bent on the same thing--domination of the land. Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. To the south of Scotia lay the realm of the Saxons ruled by Ethelred the Unready and his ruthless minions. To the west, Ireland had just come of age. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you. When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet! This volume and the next two contain hundreds of pages filled with rollicking good times, fast moving action and a page turning adventure you will not soon forget."Books In The Scythian Stone Saga:THE BLACKGLOOM BOUNTY Episode 1 - 500 pagesTHE REGENTS OF RHUM Episode 2 - 800 pagesTHE SCIONS OF SCOTIA Episode 3 - 800 pages
