《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Something is different 8

We made it halfway through the tunnel in silence. The girls whispered something every now and then but were moslty quiet. The tunnel was extremely smooth on the floor while the celiling was still jagged and rough. There were lights mounted in the wall every so often so we were never in the dark. With them avoiding conversation and eye contact as much as possible I got bored and just started fiddling with my flamethrower. I was afraid I melted my weapon when I accidentally activated the flamethrower in my hand while I was still holding my shotgun. But for some reason there werent any flames. I tried activating it again while still holding the shotgun and there still werent any flames. I didnt understand it, I looked over the handle and it wasnt even hot. There was a faint light coming from it though. I tried activating the flamethrower one more time at full blast while still holding the handle. A bright red line formed on the side of the weapon from the handle to just below the barrel and a huge torrent of flames shot out, turning a large spot on the floor into molten rock. I didnt even use any divinity and it was already this strong, Kevin didnt tell me the weapon could do this.
The girls jumped at the flames that just randomly started shooting around and got ready to fight. But then they saw it was me and lowered their guard a little, but it just seemed to make them more nervous. Something about them isnt right, especially because kevin created them himself and didnt name them. He named all the girls he created, yet these only had numbers.
I turned off the flamethrower and walked around the now glowing pool of rock, continuing on our mission. They were startled by the sudden flames but kept following behind me. The tunnel was getting smaller now and was just big enough for us to stand up straight without hitting our heads. We finally reached the end of the tunnel, a metal wall that Kevin said was one edge of the factory. I didnt want to alert the whole factory that we were coming in so I used the flamethrower to melt a hole in the wall so we could get through. I jumped through the hole into the factory, avoiding all of the molten metal and trying to land as quietly as possible. The girls followed me through the hole, one by one. They all had their weapons ready and were looking around for any enemies. We had come into the side of the factory behind one of the biggest machines here. I had no idea what it did but I know it is huge and reaches up to the ceiling. The back of the machine was almost bare, with a couple pipes carrying fluid and such around. But the farther we got to the front the more of the machine I saw and the thing barely had any free space on its front.

It was almost entirely covered buy many things. There were pipes transporting fluid, there were dials showing all sorts of information. There were switches and levers and all sorts of controls gathered in one spot on the front. This must be how the machine is controlled. There was a broken stool on the floor next to the switches, the cloth of the seat had been chewed on and spat out. It was stained and in a small puddle of clear liquid on the floor. This was not a good sign. I kept my gun ready and slowly started making my way through the factory.

Kevin was throwing a tantrum. He had barely made it back to his office by himself but when he did. All he found was a destroyed desk that looked like a giant had stepped on it. His papers and documents were everywhere. But this isnt what was upsetting him. He had a secret compartment underneath the desk, it was a false part of the floor he had put a safe in. Inside the safe was a blueprint for a device that he though would cement his position here. Something he built that would make it so that Finch and Rala would never be able to survive without him. They would need him and he would be able to do whatever he wanted to do. When kevin reached his office he found the front doors smashed and the room was completely wrecked. He pushed his desk to the side to see that his secret safe had been ripped from the floor. He checked the entire room but it was no where to be found. Which is why he was currently throwing things around his office and making tons of noise.
He needed the plans in that vault, the prototype he hid in the factory was probably already ruined. If not the girls he sent with Finch will take care of it. He needed those blueprints so he could finish his plan, without it his plan would be impossible to pull off. Kevin's tantrum finally ended after some zombies who had heard the noise entered his office. He directed his anger at them and spent the next hour smashing zombies with random objects and debree he found in his office. Screaming like a maniac the whole time. Some of the workers at camp heard his screams and thought it was some new type of monster. He had finally calmed down after he ran out of stuff and zombies to smash. He started heading back towards camp, trying to remember how the blueprint went so he could recreate it. He was so caught up in thought he didnt realize he was going the wrong way until he found something odd. The side of the wall was dented like something huge stumbled and smashed into it headfirst. Which cause the surrounding wall to warp and exposed a secret hallway. He thought he was the only one with a secret room here and grew curious. He pryed what was left of the door off of the wall and entered. He walked into Finch's secret room and looked around. There was only a chair with lots of screens floating above it and a room filled with what he recognized as liquid divinity. He stared down into the pool of luminescent blue liquid and smiled. He felt like his luck was changing.

Flight of the Princess Sage [hiatus]
Ancient witch Aurora by making use of complex soul magic reincarnates as the Duke and royal head magician's daughter Lavenna Mehliac in another world. As she grows up she finds many irregularities with this new world's magic system. Watch her unravel the mysteries of her new world's magic, gods and fallen civilizations, change the world around her and search the multiverse for her beloved. Hey there! It's my first novel, so any feedback and criticism are welcome. Decided to write this story to get it off my head. What to expect here: World-building (at least I will try to do my best to flesh out the magic system, the multiverse, the ancient civilizations etc. I don't really know about politics though), Many character backstories, amateur writing, yuri, OP protagonist, ruthless/borderline evil protagonist. What not to expect: Harem, RPG system, regular releases. I'll try to finish the story to the end but can't really promise anything. Chapters will be released when I have the time to write them which I don't have much of.

After many successful investigations, Oscar Williams has his loyalty to his adopted alien family sorely tested. What appears to be a simple theft turns out to be anything but, and to capture the perpetrators Oscar might just have to betray his own species… Formal Disclaimer: I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only TinyPrancingHorse TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a website should you require more Smol Shenanigans in your life. Which you do, so get over there and read it. Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
