The lift went straight into the bottom of the island and came out just in front of a broken stone pathway that led through a garden. The floating island was just big enough to fit a mansion and a large garden on it. The mansion was impressive, but looking at it made his lack of funds obvious. It was repaired recently by someone who obviously had no idea what they were doing. There were several broken windows that were just boarded over and any of the windows that werent boarded, were filthy. There were also several children running in all directions screaming and having fun. It looked more like an orphanage than somewhere a noble would live. I wanted to ask him about the children but before I could a small furry blur sped out of the front doors and barrelled into Jonah knocking him over. I was startled but relaxed when it seemed that he knew this little furry thing. It was a small creature completely covered in fur, I couldnt even tell how it was able to see anything. I couldnt even see any limbs it was just a large furry lumb that seem to vibrate on top of him. He was just laughing and petting it without a care.

His subordinates just walked around him like this was an everyday occurence and motioned for me to follow them into the house. I took one more look at the vibrating furball on the ground and followed them inside. His subourdinates led me to a room near the back of the house and told me that this was the last available room that isnt being repaired at the moment. I thanked them and they let themselves out, the room was pretty spacious with only a bed and a nightstand as furniture. There was a deep walk-in closet which was nice even if I didnt really have anything to put in it at the moment. It wasnt bad, the bed was really soft and there was a large window on the wall that let in plenty of light and gave me a great view of the edge of the island. Making sure I never forget that im actually hundreds of feet above the ground.....and below ground.

I needed to check on my inner world after all that crap happened, so I sat down on the bed and meditated. Making sure to focus my mind on the hidden chmber so that I appear there. After the usual visual weirdness appearing into my inner world I looked around and looked at all the differences. The room was twice as big and was almost filled to the brim with a thick blue liquid. I thought I was drowing at first but then I realized that I could breathe despite being submerged. The liquid had a pleasent feeling to it, it wasnt warm but it made me feel warm wherever it touched my skin. I swam to the top and found a thin platform coming out of the wall, I climbed up on it to find a thick, soft reclining chair surrounded by floating screens. I stood up expecting to be soaked but I was dry which was weird but not much about this place made sense to me anyway so I just shrugged it off and looked at the screens. They chair sank about 3 inches when I sat in it and the screens moved closer to compensate, I had to admit it felt amazing. The chair started moving slowly, massaging my back and legs. I just sat there for a couple minutes enjoying the feeling before I took a look at the screens in front of me.

They all displayed information about my body, even that device I had placed into my hand. Apparently it had changed into an ability, so it is no longer a device and is now a power I can use. I have to make more things like that at some point, give myself some more powers. I filed that in my head under "Shit to do later" and kept checking the screens. One of them appeared to be a log of past events that occured inside and outside the inner world. Under outside there were very few listings, one said "won battle" and another just said "Moved onto the next step to godhood." However under the label 'Inside' There were tons of listings about whats been going on in here and it was still growing. The most recent one was about someone repairing some faulty wiring on one of the more important machines. It didnt tell me who though, just said that someone was doing it. I guess its not that great of a system yet.I kept scrolling through the listings until I found one that interested me. It was a short listing and simply said "Machine Upgraded" I scrolled down and this message appeared many times after that, only ending after a couple minutes of swiping. I guess my first step changed somethings in here too I thought while looking at the massive pool of not wet liquid in front of me. I looked back at the screens and one of them had a large map of the entire facility. I focused on that screen and it came in front and enlarged itself. Nifty little function I thought to myself.

The map was very basic but was also very useful. There were dots everywhere that represented the people here, I was a different colored dot on the map though. So was Rala and Kevin, I was gold while Rala was green and Kevin was orange. Everyone else was blue and were moving around rapidly doing their various tasks. Weird though, why was kevin in the mine? Whatever. He is probably doing something weird again, I dont want to walk in on him ever again. I shivered when that mental image popped up in my head. One of the other screens caught my attention, it was flashing red so I focused on that and the map was replaced with the flashing screen. It was a short message in large letters and all it did was fill me with dread. This was a warning, and it was alerting me that I have been poisoned.
