Both kevin and Rala stood staring at the world they were currently in. As soon as the changes started happening to Finch on the outisde, their world immediately started changing as well. The hallways became shinier and more decorative as the machines in the factory became works of art that functioned. The temperature skyrocketed and plummeted constantly, yet nothing was damaged. Thick energy permeated the halls and spread all over the place, covering almost every inch of space. Yet no one but Kevin and Rala noticed this happening, all the others were just going on about their buisness. When Kevin noticed this happening he dropped everything and ran to Rala for an explanation. He found her in the factory, staring at the new machines in awe.

"Rala! What's happening?" Almost tripping over himself he stopped next to her. She turned and looked at him with a dumb smile.

"He has taken the first step towards godhood." Her smile widened and she went back to ignoring him. Kevin had lots of experience with demi-gods in the past but none of this makes sense. Things dont change like this when one takes the first step. Things in the inner world are supposed to get bigger, not better and more intricate. Kevin looked around at the now extremely complicated machines and the girls working on them like they were simple toys. He felt defeated, he was now sure that he was no longer useful. He had no idea what to do anymore, all his insight and experience was useless here. He had to do something, thoughts of getting erased and abandoned filled his head and led him to a panic. He ran out of the factory and went straight to his office, locking the door behind him and started pacing across the room.

"What do I do, What do I do" He muttered to himself while trying to keep his panic under control. In his panic driven pacing he didnt realize that he had been kicking something around on the floor. He only noticed it after he almost slipped on it. It was a blueprint for a new kind of wrench that one of the workers had drawn up and sent to him for approval, now it had a sizeable boot-print over the front of it and that gave him an idea. One that made him smile as his panic drove him over the edge. One word escaped his lips

"Sabotage...Hehehehehehehehehe"

**************************************************************************************************

The inside of the wagon caught me completely off guard. Everything was gold and silver with gold and silver trim. After I got in they even offered me a drink, which was served in a gold and silver chalice. There was a magical light embedded in the ceiling that made sure not one scrap of gold and silver decoration would go unnoticed. This would normally make me feel like I was in the prescence of royalty, however the state the wagon was in told a different story. Everything in here may have been shiny, but it was all fake. Not one bit of anything in here was worth anything and alot of it was either dirty or worn. Now that I can get a good look at him even the marble man's clothes were torn and patched in places. Its like he was a prince at one point and kept all the stuff but lost the kingdom.

The ride was anything but smooth, as one of the wheels was bent so the carriage would tilt oddly at random which almost made me spill my drink. One of the other wheels was squeaky which they seemed to be used to but for some reason was really loud to me. During the trip they explained to me what the Demi-god district really was. It seems that its a refuge for anyone with divinity to hide. Like forgotten gods or demi-gods without religions. Some of the people there are on the run from their own followers for some reason. The marble man told me his name was Jonah and he used to be worshipped as a protector by a small group of villages. They built him this carriage and showered him with riches. But one day he wasnt able to protect his people and they lost faith in him, when he tried to regain their faith he ended up wiping out his beleivers. When he got here he used the last of his wealth to get them to convert his carriage into one of their special wagons. He now uses it to help protect the rest of the city from demi-gods.

He explained that he is kind of the unofficial leader of the demi-gods. Jonah was one of the first to come here to this city and he just kind of ended up guiding the others. After a while everyone just started following him as their leader, of course there were some who tried to take over but they were over powered by those in support of Jonah. I could honestly understand why they chose him though. Not only was he there the longest but he was a protecter and he had that grandfatherly feeling to him. Yeah, he messed up in the past but all of us have at some point. I realized that I was forgetting about Malady and Vylet and asked him about them.

"Oh you had companions? If they havent been acting any different around you then they are probably immune to the effects by now. Its just people who havent been exposed to divinity that act weird around it. They can come with you if you wish."

I thought about it for a second.

"Actually Id rather not force them to come with me, could they be allowed to choose whether or not they stay or come with me?"

Jonah turned to the man next to him and had a short whispered conversation before turning back to me.

"Sure that shouldnt be a problem."

"Thanks"

He nodded and started talking about the demi-god district again.
