《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Ouch

After the interrogation of the elven suspect Captain Lucy Faegrens made arrangements for an assault on the warehouse. She had her report filled out and was heading back up the stairs towards the requisitions office, like she has hundreds of times before. Almost all of the guards in the undead district reported to her, so anything they would need she would have to bring their request to requisitions and there was alot they would need. The undead district was pretty tame, however that didnt stop criminals from other districts trying to smuggle things in through there. With the constant activity from the undead it was almost impossible to differenciate between shipments from there. One of the guards even came into contact with one of the most popular drugs here without knowing. It was a waxy substance called 'twis' which was extremely addictive and extremely flammable. The guard almost set his foot on fire hours after stepping on what he thought was a fruit that fell from a passing cart.
The guard in question was of course investigated but he was cleared of suspicion for lack of evidence and the abscence of any behavior and markings that were the telltale signs of twis use. The use of the drug would leave thin burn lines on your mouth and throat that were pretty easy to hide but were very itchy but scratching made them buldge out of your skin.
Lucy had entered the office and handed her signed forms to the officer in charge who took them, gave them a quick look and then filed them away. He then made a few calls through a metal pipe system built into the walls that carried his voice down to the main office. She then left and made her way down to the main office to report to her boss before leaving. The main office was where all the actual work happened in the building, Lucy herself had an office here even though she was mostly out on the streets working with her subordinates. She was never one for deskwork and enjoyed being outside making sure everything went smoothly within her jurisdiction. She had to dodge three carts loaded with papers and coffee being pushed around by secretaries rushing from desk to desk. This place was a battlefield complete with papers flying around and people yelling over each other. This office was responsible for managing the security of the entire city. Each district has its own central guard building that organizes the local guards, this building happened to be the main one that controls all of the other guard buildings.

Lucy had been here for about four years and she has almost never left the undead district since she got here. She loved everything about this part of the city. She loved how the shops over here never closed and the craftsmenship was amazing. The undead havent really been here all that long, people were uncomfortable with them at first but they quickly warmed up to them as they were rediculously hard workers. When they first arrived here they started out helping with construction and they were such good workers the construction that was expected to take weeks, they finished in 4 days. The craftsmen over here have been working on perfecting their art non stop, so they have reached rediculous levels and have invented many wondorous things.
Lucy knocked on her bosses office door and waited patiently for an answer, which she didnt have to wait long for.
"Come in!" He yelled over the loud offices and cubicles surrounding his office. She entered and closed the door behind her, dulling the noise from behind her. She stopped right in front of his desk and made her report. Only getting the occasional nod and grunt in response. When she was finished she stated she was mounting an assualt and with his permission she was ready to set out immediately. Her boss was notorious for his haste in dispatching guards for anything above a minor theft. He was a man that honestly beleived you can never have too many guards respond to one problem. So he obviously agreed and sent her on her way with two more teams of guards than she asked for. She was actually pretty happy about this development as it would make it alot easier to subdue the mad guild, especially if they were to take very few prisoners. She was now in the armory with her men getting their weapons ready, there were soo many of them they could barely fit in the building and had to line up to receive their weapons. She thought that given the nature of how the mad guild likes to throw spells and avoid physical conflict a single group of enchanted sheild bearers should suffice, they would use their enchanted sheilds to block the spells while they gain ground and they would be supported by archers and spearmen. This was the standard tactic they used when dealing with groups of wizards and it has worked soo far. It should be fine.

She first wandered in there by accident and the owner gave her a small piece of jerky for visiting. Now she visits all the time because that was the best jerky she has ever had. Sometimes she will go there and the old lamia that runs the shop will cook some of the meat for her to try. Lamis has gone there many times since then, she has bought meat from there instead of the market her sister goes to. Its closer and the meat tastes better, its also built on the back of the lab across the street from our building. Sometimes the owner comes out with some more tasty meat, Lamis wonders if she is using the lab as storage for her meats. But whatever, she was here for breakfast not questions.

The Saga of Geir Røshjert
"His name will never be sung, son. Skalds and bards like me will never tell his stories to the mass. But only us and us alone will keep telling his story, his actions, his saga. For he is the man who started all of this." This is a story no man in Lumenter will ever hear, no man except for an Arnesen, for his stories are dull and generic to the ears of the masses, except for us, because he is the very reason why our people traveled this far east, why kingdoms in Erisgi fell and rose, why I... even existed in the first place. He is Geir, son of Arne, called 'the Stranger' by the people. But what he truly is, is a fiery red heart that beats inside every Eyklandian, Arnesen, and me.
