《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》What am I? 4

The man next to me in my cell was starting to smell really bad, the only thing that showed me he was alive was his shallow and pained breathing. I feel kind of bad for the guy but I dont know why he was in here. I wanted to help him breathe better at least, but I really didnt want to touch him. So I got a little closer and released some green mana out my hand onto his throat. It slowly floated towards him but right before it touched his skin it was dispersed, like a strong wind came and blew the green mist away. This was very weird, I dont think this was a normal sickness. When someone is sick their body naturally absorbs green mana from their surroundings as a way to fight it. Although they can only absorb small amounts normally it helps their body fight sickness very well. But this man's body immediately and forcefully rejected it. I tried again and it was the same thing, right before touching his body it dissappeared.
Maybe its a curse?
If its a curse maybe some white mana will work. I tried to give him some white mana, releasing it above his chest this time and waited. I watched as the mist settled on his body, it wasnt being rejected like the green but it wasnt being accepted either. It just floated around his body, I guess this isnt enough, I have to inject it directly into his body. I used my least favorite finger just in case and poked his arm, sensing the mana flow inside his body. It was chaotic, all the mana just violently flailed around in his body which is no doubt the cause for his ailment. White mana wasnt going to fix anything, I need to actually fix his mana flow. Something like this cannot just happen, someone did this to him. At least I know its not a disease, although his hamburger like skin and rotting smell makes it seem like it.

This kind of mana disruption is normally lethal. Im suprised he has survived this long despite the pain he must be going through. I placed both my hands on his skin and concentrated on the flow of mana in his body. Directing small amounts of it at a time I made it flow slowly and in the correct direction around his body. I could feel his breathing calm down slightly so I know its working. I kept working on his mana flow for about an hour, making sure to first slow it all down and then direct it to the proper points in his body. I was covered in sweat as all my concentration was focused on helping this man. I took a break as I was exhausted and leaned on the wall to calm my breathing. Looking at him now I can see his skin heal slightly, he no longer looked like ground meat. He now looked more like ham that was beaten thoroughly, and left to sit out in the sun for a couple days. Which honestly isnt as bad as he looked before, at least he wasnt leaking pus anymore and he wasnt crying. It looked like he was in a very deep slumber now, as his breathing was very calm and he had even started snoring softly. I think it would be at least another hour before I can fix him completely but at least he isnt in any more pain. Once I caught my breath I started working on him again, checking his mana, slowing it down and making it flow the right way.
As I was working I heard the cell door open and someone walk in. I wasnt finished helping him and if I stopped right now I might actually cause more damage.
"Give me a moment, I cant stop right now or it might hurt him. Im almost done."

I heard the person shift slightly but otherwise they just stood there. I finished up and sat back feeling very tired and sweaty. The man in front of me was completely fixed, I made sure to leave some green mana in his body to accelerate his healing. It might take some time for his body to comepletely get back to normal but at least he is cured and no longer in pain. I looked up to see that our visitor was a woman in military dress and she was staring at the man on the floor. He was obviously better, even if he did still look a little gross. She took a couple more steps towards him and seemed to be checking his breathing. After she was satisfied she stood and turned to me.
"How did you cure him?" She asked with an oddly soothing voice that didnt really match the stern look on her face.
"Someone fucked with his mana flow, accelerating the hell out of it and sending it out of whack. I just slowed it down and directed it back to where it was supposed to go. Thats all."
I was very tired and didnt want to explain more than that. Luckily she accepted that and nodded, then promptly left the cell closing the door behind her.
Was that all? Why did she even come in here?
That was a little wierd but I put it out of my mind and focused on resting. I got a good hour of rest before she came back and took me out of the cell. Her and two large guards took me to a room not far from the cells and sat me in a small uncomfortable metal chair in front of a small table. The room was pretty bare other than the table, chairs, a large mirror and the door. The two men left but the woman stayed and sat down in the chair on the other side of the table. She had put down a bag that I didnt notice she was carrying and pulled some papers out of it. Sorting them neatly on the table in front of her. One of them I saw was a report dated months ago but I had trouble reading the details, the handwriting was small and the paper was upside down. There were some other reports that she put on the table but the thing that practically told me why I was here was when she took out the book and the robe and placed them on the table.
I found myself blurting out the words, "Uhh, those are...not mine" before I could stop myself. The only reaction I got from her was a small smile, she just kept organizing the papers in front of her. A couple minutes later she finished and looked up at me, still sporting that tiny smile on her face.
"You are here because we have evidence connecting you to the dark guild. You will not be allowed to leave until you are either proven innocent or excecuted."
Shit.
