I immediately went back into my inner world and started modifying the device. Which took me a while because I had to figure out how to get it out of the drawing on the wall. Which was pretty much that same thing as putting it in there. I just pressed on the device and dragged it out of my hand, it reverted back to its original shape and popped out of the drawing.

I was curious to see if the size of the device mattered and since I had just made this one I could copy it and just create it with my mind. So I made one that was three times its size and walked up to the drawing, which absorbed it without any effort. I dragged it back to my hand and it shrank down to the same size as before, this means I could add some really complicated enchantments and spells to it. This was making me really excited, something like this means I wont have to keep running all the time. Once I get out of whatever prison im in, im going to go back to that warehouse and burning it down and spread white mana all over the ashes. It seems to purify that mana smog and I dont want to take any chances.

Lets see, The device I made first just shoots out sparks. I need something that can actually be used to do some damage. I took a couple minutes to think, when I think of the weakness of most living things, fire. I raided the supplies of the factory, making sure no one saw me take the materials back to my room. I started with some normal Iron and mithril. Mithril had a small amplification effect on magic so I thought it would help with my idea. I made a tube of the mithril that was large enough for me to be able to carve spells into it easily. I was going to write in the forbidden language as that would also increase the power of the spells. I started by writing the spell for 'fire spout' all around one end of the tube. Fire spout just shot a stream of fire in one direction but it was rather short range and it wasnt very powerful. So I needed to increase the range and power of the spell. The mithril and the forbidden language should increase the power quite a bit, but I still had to fix the range. I made a cap for the pipe and made sure to cut large holes into it, leaving just enough space for an enchantment. I made the cap use blue mana to push everything down the tube away from the cap. So the cap would push the flames without smothering them down the tube and out the other end. I attached the cap to the side of the pipe I carved the fire spells into.

On the other side I enchanted it to cycle purple mana, but only on the outer rim of the pipe. So the blue mana would force the fire down the pipe and the purple mana would pull the fire out as well, shooting the fire in one direction. I added a trigger and tested it. It worked but the fire was still not strong enough, it was dissapating before it got more than a couple inches away from the pipe. I took off the cap and added an enchantment to the fire spells, this enchantment would channel red mana into the fire spells while the trigger was held. Amplifying their power even more, but also making the mana cost shoot up. I could only use it for two minutes before my mana would run out. I had an abundace of divinity that I didnt really know what to do with at the moment so I decided to try that. I carved some grooves into the outside of the pipe and filled them with a small amount of divinity. As soon as it settled I felt a distinct change in the flow of mana throughout the weapon. It seemed calmer, smoother and more efficient. I summoned a brick wall and tested the flamethrower on it. When the trigger was pulled the grooves on the outside lit up bright blue and the flamethrower shot out a huge torrent of flames that looked way too big for the opening of the pipe. I added a switch to the side so I could control the intensity of the flames just in case.

I was very satisfied with my creation and added it to the diagram on the wall immediately. I felt the same warm feeling in my hand as the now shrunken device settled into my flesh. I left the inner world and decided to test it out here. I opened my eyes and was looking for a place to test it on when I noticed I was no longer alone in my cell. In the cell with me was a man laying face down on the floor. He did not look healthy in anyway, his eyes were leaking some kind of pus, his skin looked like beef and almost all of his limbs were bent the wrong way. All his fingers and toes were also broken and swolen. I could see he was breathing but that was the only movement I saw from him, but if I was that fucked up I probably wouldnt be moving either. I wonder what happened to this poor bastard, I am pretty sure I see tears mixed in with the pus but I dont think he is conscious.

I didnt see anyone else around and my cellmate was unaware so I just tested my new weapon on the wall next to me. I set the switch for the lowest intensity and pointed my open palm at the wall, then pulled the trigger in my mind. A small purple jet of flame came out of my palm, I played with the intensity and I found out I could go from the small jet to a huge spout of flame. I ended up burning my fingers and had to cut off the flame, cursing to myself. I had to figure out a way to deal with the heat and still be able to use the flamethrower.
