《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》What am I? 2

Five people in dark robes ran through the streets at high speeds. Their task must be completed before the city wakes up and the streets are filled with people. They were running around looking for targets to fulfill their final sacrifice. In four short minutes of running they found the perfect subjects. Two children were making their way through the streets. They looked like orphans making their way home from whatever the orphanage makes them do during the night. The two were walking along talking while holding a basket filled with some sort of pastry.
They were paying very little attention to their suroundings which made it easy to grab them, tie them up and stuff them into an almost child-size sack to take back to their base. They didnt even realize what happened until they were already in the bags. Now all they could see was a bag that smelled like rotting flesh and old cheese. They could see through the fibers the bag was made of but their eyes were closed shut. The first thing they saw through the bags was the faces of the ones that caught them and that was more terrifying than what they were going through. As soon as they saw that face and realized the situation they were in, the two kids already considered themselves dead. As they were taking back through the alleys and to their doom, all they could do was cry softly into the cloth sacks that held them.

I woke up in a cell with nothing but my pants on surrounded by dull stone walls and solid iron bars that im pretty sure were enchanted. I could hear a slight buzzing coming from them that gave me the impression that touching them would be a bad idea. After Rala told me her story I left her room and walked around to gather my thoughts. If I am a god and other gods are going to be coming after me, then I need to get stronger as fast as I can. I need to get powers. Rala said everything I build in that chamber in my inner world will react with the divinity I have accumulated. Maybe that will do.....something. I dont know, but sitting in this cell waiting for something to happen isnt any better than trying to give myself powers.

With my back on the stone wall I got as comfortable as I could and slipped back into the inner world. I didnt want to startle kevin again but I dont know how to choose where I appear. I tried focusing on the secret chamber as I appeared in the inner world and it was awful, I could already see kevin's office in front of me but as I focused on the secret chamber the world shifted and spun and I found myself being thrown into the secret chamber at high speed. Ramming myself into a pillar and almost completely knocking it over. I thought this wasnt actually real but I guess it is, cause that fucking hurt. I got up off of the floor and leaned on the pillar to steady myself before starting my work. I completely emptied the room and reshaped it into the bedroom I made when I first found this place. I need to make something in here, so I just started with what I knew. I started making a mana cycler, a very simple device that simply cycles mana around it. It is the first thing you are taught to make when training to become an enchanter. So I start by 'borrowing' some of the metal that they used in the factory and got to work shaping it into a form I can use.
After heating the metal to a sufficient temperature I started shaping it to a form that can cycle mana properly. Mainly it just looked like a metal tube that had a piece missing like it was cut open. Once I got the shape down I cooled it off and started enchanting it, I didnt need to do anything fancy with it cause im just practicing and I just wanted something I can carve things in to. I used the forbidden language because why the hell not, and carved the symbols into the middle of the object. Injecting mana into the symbol as I went along and as soon as I finished, I cut off the supply of mana and set it down. I waited a couple seconds and then poked it, paying attention to the mana in the immediate vicinity. For a little while nothing happened, so I injected a tiny amount of mana to get it going and it started working. I could feel the mana being pulled from one side and coming out the other. A small flaw is that I cant really turn it off but it didnt do anything other than move mana around so I just left it on. I even made a shelf in the corner and left it on there as my first creation in here.

I took some time to practice with mana for a little bit to give myself an idea on what to make next. I spun it around and wrapped some blue mana around some red mana and I saw a spark. It gave me an idea, I created a thin sheet of blue mana in front of me and forced some red mana through the middle of it. Bright sparks started shooting out the other end almost catching the table in front of me on fire. I took out my first experiment and started modifying the symbols on it. I added some more symbols and modifyed the ones I had put there already. It now required mana to work but it was such an insignifigant amount that it could work on the ambient mana in a room. I added a small switch on the side so I can turn it on and off. This time there was a small sheet of blue mana hovering in the middle of the tube. When activated it would shoot a small but constant amount of red mana through the blue mana causing sparks to shoot out the other end. I altered the switch so that the intensity would change depending on how far the switch was pushed. I pushed the switch all the way and watch as the whole side of the room was bathed in a beautiful shower of sparks. After putting out a couple fires I set it back on the shelf happy at my first invention. Although I had no idea how this was actually going to help me in the long run, I was happy to at least make some progress. I was thinking how I could use this outside with my actuall body when a part of the wall changed to a picture of my anatomy.
I got up and looked at it, it was a perfect picture of my body. I picked up my invention off the shelf again and tried to imagine how I would use it.
I guess if the sparks shot out my hand it would be pretty cool. As well as a pretty good distraction in a fight.
As these thoughts swam in my mind, my invention flew into the picture and floated above my arm. I unconsiously raised my arm and touched it which caused it to moved with my hand. I dragged it onto my hand and a window popped up.
"Would you like to use this device in your hand?"
"Umm, yes?"
The drawing of the device shrank and reshaped itself. Now it looked like a small cylinder about the length of my pinky and the drawing of my invention slowly started embedding itself into the drawing of my hand. As it did so I reflectively winced, yet I felt no pain or anything really. Just a slight warm sensation in my hand. When it was done, I could feel it. Like I could feel that there was something in my hand, but it wasnt uncomfortable or itchy or anything. I immediately exited my inner world to check my body.
After waking up to the dull prison cell again, I looked down at my hand and I couldnt tell anything was different, but I could feel it. I raised my hand and imagined myself pushing the switch on the side of the device. A small stream of sparks shot out of the palm of my hands.
just call me, Sir. Sparklefingers.
I shook off that weird thought in my head and realized exactly what this means I could do.

Clarent Saga: Chronicles
Based on my work on Saga of the Jewels, I've been hired by an indie game developer to write the novel for their 'novel + turn-based battles' game which is in Early Access on Steam. Of course, a 'novel + turn based battles' is a terrible idea for a game, which is why no other games like this exist, but hey, the developer is paying me. And if something's worth doing at all, it's worth doing as well as possible, so I am going to give this project my very best shot and try to make it as good as it can be. So if you read this, please give me feedback on the story to help me make it as good as it can be! Please note, for this story I have been given a pre-existent set of characters, character back-story sketches and a rough plot to work with. I also have to insert random battles into the narrative, have set characters appear in a certain order, and have the party fight fixed bosses in a certain order, all at fixed points! Please also note that this is a first draft. I will be editing and re-working this in the future and re-posting it. But I need helpful feedback, if anyone can give it. You can also find the game version of this on Steam by searching there for 'Clarent Saga: Chronicles'.
