《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》The Helpful Undead 3

I made my way out of the office and through another small room filled with empty shelves. At the other end of this room was a door that led out into the warehouse. The door was open slightly with thick corruption seeping through, I strengthened my green mana mask and squinted my eyes through the doorway.
It was almost completely pitch black in there, I couldnt see anything other than the door I was hiding behind. Well, ive gotten this far and I need something to prove that the guild is actually here so I walked into the darkness. I didnt want to trip over something so I tried spreading some white mana over the tip of my index finger to use as a light. It seemed to work, and after using it for a couple seconds I noticed the corrupted mana around me was thinning. It looks like the white mana was actually purifying the corruption and absorbing it making my finger glow brighter.
I could see clearly in my immediate area and this place was disgusting. There were slaughtered animals in the corner next to the door I just used with blood stains all over the floor. There was rotting food thrown about like some kid had a tantrum. Small bits of the building that had fallen off or rotted away were laying on the ground. I kept walking while avoiding all the mess on the ground. I expanded my mana mask to cover my nose since this smell was unbearable. I kept walking through the filth until I stepped on something that didnt feel like the floor. I pointed my finger-light down and saw that I was stepping on what looked like a huge yellow fang. I started wondering what creature this came from when I heard a deep snore coming from nearby. I pointed my light around trying to find the source when I saw more teeth next to the one I was standing on. There was a huge fucking mouth coming out of the floor and I was standing on its teeth. I got away from it as fast as I could without making any noise. If it had opened its mouth I wouldve been dead. I still needed something to prove that they are here so I kept walking around the room, giving the floor-mouth a wide berth.

As I walked further into the place the floor was no longer covered in just blood and debris. Now it also had entrails and shit smeared on the floor and piled along the walls. This place was so disgusting all I wanted to do was burn it down and then set the ashes on fire. I tried my best to avoid stepping in anything while making my way through this place. I heard something like metal links clinking together and immediately shoved my lit up hand in my pocket to hide the light and crouched in the darkness. Straining my eyes to see in this darkness and listening to see if I can find out which direction it came from.
*CLINK* *CLINK* *CLINK*
There!
It was coming from about 20 feet in front of me. I pulled my hand out of my pocket and covered it with my jacket so the light would be focused in front of me. I looked in the direction of the sounds and saw, a large fist chained to the ground. My eyes went from the massive fist to the muscled arm, then across the broad shoulders with black wings that seemed to produce the corrupted mana. Down to its lower back with had been chained to the floor as well as its legs which were covered in thick hair. I looked back up at its head to see that it was staring at me. I shoved my hand back into my pocket and got the hell out of there. As soon as I started running I could hear it roar like it was screaming 'INTRUDER' at the top of its lungs. I dashed through the building almost slipping on the entrails a couple times and bumping into something that im pretty sure wasnt there before and I made it too the door. I smashed through it and got into the office, pulling the shelves over behind me as I went.

Running into the office I closed the door and pulled a bunch of stuff in front of it. Grabbed one of the books and extra cloaks as evidence and crawled through the hole to the outside. I ran as far away from that place as I could before stopping and releasing the mana I had been using. Once I had calmed down I wrapped the book in the cloak to hide it and walked through the undead market for a bit. My clothes had been stained with the tainted mana and my pants and boots were covered in some of the trash and filth that was on the floor. I needed new ones before I left and the only place to get stuff was the undead market nearby. Hopefully no one would ask any questions about what I was doing to get this filthy.
I made my way towards the lights and activity in the undead district, ignoring the looks i was getting from people I passed by. I bought some cheap pants and a shirt from the first stall I passed. The stall next to that one had a pair of boots that looked like they would fit me so I bought those too. I went to a nearby alleyway and changed, I put my old clothes in a small broken bucket that was just thrown back here and set it on fire. I desided to bathe when I get back, Lari showed me the bath she had in her place and I havent gotten to try it out yet. It looked amazing like all the other stuff she had. I waited till the fire went out then made my way back to Lari's place. Ive also got to warn her about the huge ass thing chained up in that warehouse.

Techno-Heretic
Eli is an ancient man sentenced to death for the crime of surpassing the sacred number of 32.8, which is the allowed percentage of increased mental ability from the use of AI chips. As he journeys through death and into a world of fantasy and magic, he finds himself approaching never before seen heights of magical power and ability. Powers that will shape the world and would see him go down in legends for generations ever after. But just because someone acquires magical abilities, that doesn't mean magic is suddenly the most important thing in their life. Some people aren't looking to be all-powerful gods, have the world bow at their feet, or spend their days obsessing over accumulating ever more power. Some people just want acceptance, stability, and the warmth of their loved ones to drive away the cold loneliness of the night. And in a world where magic is the bedrock of society, where magic is what determines who is preferred for siring children, where people with high magical ability are destined to live in great luxury and those without magic simply live to make due, this difference in values and perspective could not have a starker contrast. As Eli and the people around him navigate the misconceptions and deceptions of this world, he will represent a great and magnificent future for the human race. One where humanity will stand above the elves, dwarves, orcs, fairies, and all the horrors of the world. Sadly, men's tools are as fallible as the people who make them, and in a society where the potential of an individual is determined solely through their magical level, this seed of promise may yet turn venomous.
