《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》And you crashed...2

I woke up lying on the bed in the carraige, covered with a blanket. A note was left next to my head on the bed. Before I started reading it I looked around at the drastic change to the inside of the carriage. There were animal skins and meat drying in the corner next to one of the unbroken windows. On the other side of that I saw herbs and other plants wrapped in cloth sitting in a chair that slid out of the wall. There were even a couple decorations made from bone that were hung up around the carriage. I didnt really like them as they gave off a weird feeling. It creeped me out yet it also oddly made me feel safe. Which confused me a little bit.
The design is like nothing I have ever seen before. The inside is roomy but a bit bland and it had no decorations of any kind. However there are furniture and many other things that have been hidden in the walls with some expert craftsmanship. Like this carriage was meant to cross large distances without ever stopping. I remember even seeing some weird metal pipes underneath the carraige.
*BUMP*
The carraige jumped up a bit as we went over a small hole in the road. Wait, we are moving! They must have fixed the carriage up while I was out. I wonder what they got to pull it. My eyes fall back onto the note.
" Druggy elf man, I found something to pull the cart and as long as you dont attack them we probably dont even need to stop and let them rest. I found them rather quickly, so I even had time to do some hunting. I thought it would help offset the costs of this trip. But then I return to find my 'savior' rolling around in the dirt groaning about some sort of gremlins and malady trying to stop you from rolling down the hill. Malady and I have already fixed the carraige to a workable condition and are heading in the direction of the capital. We will be stopping before it gets dark to sleep and since you have gotten plenty of sleep you will be driving through the night."

She seems to like ordering people around. But whatever, I did eat that berry and had a weird trip so Ill drive tonight.
I looked out the window to see the sun was almost about to set and I feel pretty well rested. So I started meditating, This time circulating red mana throughout my body. Feeling the strength build in my arms and legs. This mana felt more like a strong tingling sensation, but not irritating. If one isnt careful one can get addicted to using red mana, the feeling of power is unresistable to some. There were even some elves that went mad with it. Keeping a constant flow of thick red mana in their body. Till they were barely recognizable any more, their muscles and body grew to the point where they were just a mass of muscles and blood. They couldnt move or speak anymore yet they never stopped letting the red mana flow. After a while they couldnt stop the flow and it just keeps growing with their muscles until they die. But doing this training is necessary as it strengthens the body as well as the willpower of whoever uses it. You have to resist the temptation of power, but accept it into your body at the same time. The red mana coursing through my veins started settling in pockets around my body. I had to focus to keep it moving around and strengthening my body evenly.
This amount of concentration isnt easy to keep up so I only got in about an hour of training before I had to stop. Drinking some water out of a waterskin that was next to the note and wiping off my sweat before going back to my meditating. This time I decided to try something different. I tried to let a little white mana flow in my body. I had no idea what effect this would have on me since no one really did this because no one knew what white mana was for other than to stop black mana. I let a little white mana flow down my left arm to my hand. I was a little confused as I didnt feel anything, yet I am positive that I converted the mana properly. I opened my eyes slightly and I was suprised. I couldnt feel the mana but I could see it. My left hand was glowing with a pure white light, it was bright enough to light up the entire area. I tried to let it flow back up my arm, across my chest and into my right arm. But it stopped halfway across my chest and wouldnt go any farther. I couldnt move it to the right side of my body. Even when I try to release some white mana into the right side of my body it just wont work. It just immediately goes to the left side of my body. So I tried a little dark mana and it worked, yet the dark mana wouldnt go to the left side of my body and only stayed on the right side. The black mana was just like the white, I couldnt feel it but I could see it. Although it was more like it absorbed light, making my hand look like I was holding a ball of darkness.

This was really weird, I still dont know what to do with this but at least ive learned something new about these types of mana. Maybe I should record my experimentation.
Hmm...
Ill look for a notebook next town or city we come across. I was done experimenting with these two types of mana for now so I tried to reabsorb it as pure mana. But instead it went straight to my chest and combined there, swirling around each other. Mixing but staying seperate at the same time. I couldnt beleive what I was seeing, There was a slight glow on my chest and a slight darkness spinning around each other then they both slowly faded till they couldnt be seen anymore. But now I could feel them, the two energies swirling around in my chest. I could feel it but it was shrinking and getting smaller by the second. Until I could barely feel it anymore, but i knew it was still there. Im really confused but I felt pretty good. Im certain that creating that weird thing im my chest made me a little stronger. Ill mess with it some more another time. Right now its my turn to drive because the carriage is stopping and I could hear malady's hooves and Vylets boots leaving the front compartment. I put on my jacket that was sitting on the floor next to the bed and prepared myself to drive all night. Opening the door to the crisp and cold night air made my ears twitch. I pulled up my hood to keep my ears warm and let Malady and Vylet into the rear compartment.
"Did you read the note we left you?" Vylet said with a little ice in her tone.
"Yeah yeah I get it. Hurry up its cold."
She snorted at me and hopped into the carriage. Right behind her was Malady but something looks off about her.
Maybe its just me, but she looks a little older now.

Blank: a Story of Good Intentions
Many Millennia ago in a time of peace and innovation, a disaster of epic proportions, known as the Great Reverse, ravaged the world. The details remain vague, but humanity was once again thrown into the disorder and chaos. Under the mysterious circumstances, they reclaimed an ability that was once long lost to them, the restored ability to wield magic. Thus a period of great prosperity and enlightenment swept over the world. With the help of magic, humanity reclaimed its throne above the world's other inhabitants and created civilizations almost as grand and extravagant as the kingdoms and republics of the past. But with every piece of innovation, arises a piece of chaos. The Great Reverse gave rise to horrendous and terrifying creatures. Not much is known about them, because their very nature makes them hard to study. It is believed that they arise from human turmoil itself. They have tangible bodies, but they're mercurial and erratic. Additionally their sole purpose of life is to instill despair within the world. They are those who walk through the night with no soul, no heat, no individual thought. The story follows siblings Tom and Sally Blanc, who train to become slayers, or 'Knights' and quickly learn the hardships of their line of work.
