《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Time to go 2

The next day I was the one to wake up first. I stretched and then brought some extra clothes downstairs with me. I wanted to wash before i left as im not really sure when ill be able to again. As i reached the bottom floor I saw a young girl head out the back door with a bucket. When i got outside I saw that she was actually going to collect the laundry. The area I had thought was the bathing area, with areas seperated by cloth for privacy was actually just sheets from the inn that were being hung out to dry. I felt so stupid my ears turned red. The girl noticed me looking at her and chuckled while smiling at me, her face was a pale shade of red as she seemed to remember something.
She must have been the one that saw me that night. how embarressing.
I felt really dumb, too dumb to actually look for where the bathing area was. So i just filled a bucket with water and wiped myself off with a cloth in my room while the other two were still asleep. I decided to get things ready for when they woke up. My wealth was enough for us to travel but not enough to make it to the capital in a carriage. The trip is too far to hire a carriage. The demons that i need to talk to about this would either be in the capital or on the other side of it. While everyone in this kingdom hated demons the war between them was over, so you could find demons everywhere. Although there werent a large number of them, they were still there. Maybe they would have some idea on what to do about this.
I decided to steal a carriage, cause most problems can be fixed with theft, Right? The city has two places for carriages, one on the outer edges of the city where most people store their carriages. The other was for the nobles to park their rediculously extravagant carriages. Only the one for the nobles was under heavy guard. While the outer area was guarded, it was not guarded as fiercely or by as many guards as the nobles one. So that one was my target, I needed a carriage without any markings or company names on it. I left a note that told them to meet me outside the city near a large hill that had 3 trees. We passed it on our way into the city and it had a nice little flat spot on the other side of it that looked like it had been used as a camping spot by weary travellers waiting to get into the city. Also the note said to buy what they want or need before they leave. I took out some gold and placed it in a small stack next to the note. It should be plenty for whatever they are going to get.

I left the inn after having a small breakfast of sausage and a weird sort of stew that this inn was apparently famous for. It didnt take me long to get to the outer edge of the city, it was early and most of the people were still asleep or setting up their stalls to prepare for the day. So I got through the streets without any hassle. The carriage parking area was about as big as one of the nobles yards and filled with carriages of all shapes and sizes. It was blocked off by a large gate that surrounded the entire yard. The yard had two entrances, one on each side and both with at least a couple guards. I walked to the side of the yard to avoid the guards and look at the different typs of carriages. Most of them had a long bench for the driver to sit on the front and were covered with a big tarp. There were even some of the more expensive carriages that were pretty much a large room on wheels. Even the drivers were protected by a roof, that was the one i wanted. It was really nicely designed but didnt stick out too much. There were no markings on the sides and it was painted a nice dark green.
From here i could see some reinforcing on the wheels and on the windows as well. It was a little poorly done so i dont think that whoevers carriage it was had much wealth and did it themselves to make the carriage last longer. I couldnt get over the gate as it was too high so I had another idea. I just wrapped some red mana around my arms and grabbed the bars of the gate. Pulling with all my strength until i opened a gap big enough for me to get through. I got through and headed for my new carriage. I didnt make it halfway there before I was hit in the gut with a fist almost as big as my head. I clutched my stomach in pain and tried to see who attacked me but my eyes were watering too much from the pain. He must have something on his hand because that hurt way more than it should have. When my vision cleared a little bit i was able to make out who it was that hit me. It was that person i saw at that mansion i robbed while i was hiding in that room upstairs. The one that barely fit in the hall with his hands dragging on the floor. But now he was standing at his full height and he was dressed in dark clothes that only made him look bigger and taller.

I thought he was going to call for the guards but he just raised another fist and threw it at me. I wasnt going to just let him hit me. I pulled out my sword and held it up to block his punch. His punch collided with my sword and pushed me back a couple feet. I didnt wait for him to attack again, I jumped behind a nearby carriage and ran to the other side of it. He didnt even flinch after punching my sword, I havent used it that much yet but im pretty sure it is a solid sword and he punched it with his fist. I walked quickly but silently behind the carraige and tried to sneak up on him and bash him on the head or something. I dont really care much but I dont really want to kill everyone that gets in my way. That just isnt who i want to be. I peeked around the front of the cart and saw him walking to where i just was. Something was off about this guy, his skin was kinda pale and he walked like he had all the time in the world. But whatever, I need to get a carriage and this guy was in the way of that. I Jumped out behind him and smacked him with the flat of my sword. Which did nothing, his head moved slightly but that was the only effect it had on him. What was up with this guy? He is like a statue made out of flesh, not even a wound was left on his head. He barely even reacted to my attack, or thats what i thought until I saw one of his oversized hands swinging at me. I jumped back a couple feet but i still had to duck as his reach had somehow extended.
I have to finish this fast, the guards will notice us if we keep fighting here. I might have to kill this guy. But still something about this guy is creeping me out.

Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.

HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
