《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Not a robin hood

I wish I had bigger pockets, there was barely enough space for all the gems i found in the drawer. I cant fill anything bigger than my pockets or else escaping will be harder. So I settled for filling all my pockets to the brim and also taking some documents that looked interesting. Now that my pants were loaded with my new traveling fund, it was time to escape. I open the door a tiny bit and look into the hall. No one was there. I made it back to the stairwell without any distubances which i thought was weird. I got to the bottom floor, walking softly so my loot doesnt move around in my pockets too much.

I was creeping through the halls, getting closer to the exit but I heard a large group coming around the corner. There were no doors to hide in nearby so I ran back down the hall to the staircase and waited behind it. Shrouding myself in black mana and shadow. Doing my best to not be seen, I waited for the group to arrive. The footsteps and chatter got closer and I was able to make out who they were. The servants were coming back from the foyer. The guests must have left, so most of the servants had nothing to do and were going back to their posts or their rooms. None of them were very interested in the surroundings as they were happily chatting, apparently they were all releived to finally be able to get away from the guests of the party. Most of them went up the stairs, but a small group of them turned down the other hall. I waited till i couldnt hear either anymore and left quickly toward the exit. As i reached the door I stopped and ducked behind a potted plant.

There was a guard at the door. Looks like he was taking a break and eating some leftovers he must have stole from the party. I needed to leave before the master of the house notices the robbery so I didnt try to come up with any clever tricks or anything. I released some blue mana into my hand and condensed it. Repeatedly until it was like a palm sized rock in my hand. I also put some red mana between my hand and the blue mana stone. When I was sure of my aim, I launched the blue transparent stone at the guards head with the red mana strenghthening my throw. The stone smacked him in the head hard enough to seriously dent his helmet. He went limp and his head hit the wall before his body crumpled into a heap on the floor. The metal helmet he was wearing fell off his head and clanged loudly on the floor. I cringed as I wasnt able to catch it before it hit the floor. So I bolted through the door, Ive got to get as far away as possible before the guards find the body.

I ran as fast as i could through the large yard. A cart was being pulled by some weird lizard looking things that i dont recognize. The carriage was really long and tall with alot of weird metal decorations on the back of it. With the sun out and the oversized yards there was no where to hide so I headed for the carriage. I could hear loud yelling from the mansion i just robbed. Looking behind me I saw guards coming out of the house and a large man in the middle of them yelling loudly and pointing in what looked like random directions. The carriage was starting to speed up, I had to use some blue mana under my feet in order to keep up with it. I got close enough to grab the metal decorations on the back and I hoisted myself up and hung onto the back of the carriage. Flattening myself against it and hoping no one saw me attach myself to it especially the driver.

The guards at the house were running around in all directions searching for the thief with no success. I would laugh at them but then the driver or the passengers would probably hear me. The carriage took me far from the mansion and when I was about to hop off they suddenly sped up. The carriage was going faster than any other carriage i have ever seen. I had to use some red mana to strengthen my muscles or i would have fell off as soon as they sped up. If i jumped off now id probably break something. All i could do is hold on with all my strength as the road and everything around me started to blur. I couldnt understand how a carriage could go this fast without falling apart.

As the carriage shot down the road only one thing was on my mind as I held on.

Who's freakin carriage is this?

Ive never seen or even heard of anyone having a carriage this fast. This thing is rediculous and so are those lizard things attactched to the front. I dont even know where it is taking me, Ive lost all sense of direction as this thing is just too fast. I have no idea where I am however im pretty sure its not the nobles district anymore.

How in the hell did we get past the gate without being stopped?

After about what was probably ten minutes we finally started slowing down. As we slowed I shifted my attention to the surroundings. We had arrived on the northern side of the nobles area, at the largest house. The carriage pulled Into a parking space that was marked by a sign and a fenced in small garden. Once it stopped The ground welcomed my face as my extremeties were not responding to me at the moment. My hands and feet were numb and I know im going to have some bad blisters later. The driver got out of the carriage and opened the door for the passengers. Which were of a race ive never seen before. They had hard scales all over their bodies, but they were less noticable on what could only be the females. The males had what looked like ridges on their spines and the females had smaller almost unnoticable ridges on their spines and oddly their knuckles as well. All of them have small but very sharp looking claws attached to thin fingers. There were two females in the carriage and three males. The two females where dressed in fitted clothing and leather armor and shortswords on their hips. Two of the males were dressed in very regal and expensive looking clothing. One had a normal sword while the other had nothing that i could see on him. The last male was the most out of place as he looked very young. He was shorter than all the others and his scales had bright colors.

I tried to get under the carriage before they noticed me. I crawled until i was completely under it and tried to be as quiet as possible. Apparently that didnt really do anything because a scaled arm reached under the carriage and grabbed my leg. Pulling me out into the open.

I put on my best smile as i looked up at their scaley faces.
