《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Into town 3

I couldnt enjoy the soft bed of the inn because my thoughts were filled with the mess i find myself in. After the demon had dropped that story on us vylet helped me take Malady to a nearby inn. I got us a single room with two beds, Malady and vylet on one. Me on the other one. The inn was pretty cheap but the beds were soft and the sheets weren't scratchy. Which made this one of the best inns ive ever stayed in. Yet i couldn't relax, My mind was in overdrive. Trying to find a way to survive this mess. Evevntually my exhaustion got the best of me and I fell asleep.
No dreams disturbed my sleep yet I still woke covered in sweat. I look at the other bed and see two people sized lumps rising and falling slowly. I get up and go to wash myself of sweat. I leave through the back of the inn to the small yard behind it. The slightly warm night air whistles past my ears. I open one of the barrels near the back entrance to the inn and grabbed a bucket filling it with water. I walk over to one of the areas blocked by cloth and enter. Peeling off my wet clothes and setting them aside I channel some mana into my hand and release it next to me. A mixture of red and blue mana. The red mana formed a small ball about the size of my fist and I used the blue mana to ignite it. I Brought it over to the cloth wall and let it float near my clothes to dry them off faster. As I was cleaning myself with the water I was thinking of a way to get out of this.
Maybe i can pass it off to the church?

No, they think demons are evil and will just kill her.
Wait.... I GOT IT.
Ill take her to the demons. After I bring Vylet home and hopefully collect a nice 'reward' I can take Malady to the demons! They worship her mother so they have to know what to do.
I felt a wave of confidence wash over me as I thought about this. The curtains shook slightly in the breeze, enough to give a passing inn resident a full view. I didnt notice until i heard her giggle, to which I quickly covered myself. Trying my hardest not to blush I dried off and got dressed. When I went back into the inn the woman that saw me was no where to be found. So i just went back to my room and sat on the bed, I couldnt really sleep and the sun was rising anyway so i decided to see what we have left.
The results were a little depressing. We barely had any money, enough for two more days at the inn but not much else. Some of the food in our bags had gotten wet somehow and started getting moldy and rotting. Even some of the loot that I managed to keep, was ruined. Our money situation is abysmal, we are poor as hell. Only some of these things are worth anything anymore.
Maybe I can go hunting?
Immediately after i thought that, images of those twisted mana saturated monsters filled my mind and i banished that from my head. I kept thinking of ways to make some money to fund our trip to the capital but I came up with nothing.
well, guess im robbing some nobles.
I chuckled evilly, robbing nobles was my favorite pastime after I was adopted by the master of the Shaylet adventurers guild. Today I will go scout for nobles to rob, and tonight I will have some fun.

Vold was in his room, Scribbling a note on a small piece of paper. It was a large room that came with a servant of his own which was dismissed a while ago and a fireplace. Much better than most servants but he had served the lord for so long that he was given this for his service. He was sitting at a desk near the window, a small bird was sleeping in a cage next to him. His plan was going well, Most of his people were in place and the noble he serves is arriving in some town he governs. As soon as he arrives in town, the spy there will send Vold a signal through a enchanted talisman. Then the revolt will begin and the nobles will die. Vold chuckled at the thought of strangling the noble's fat son with the whip he liked to torture slaves with. He stopped chuckling as he heard a knock at the door. The note he was scribbling was quickly shoved in a pocket.
"Yes?"
"We are ready and waiting" The servant just outside the door whispered.
"Its almost time, Where is the lord now?" Vold responded in a voice that was barely audiable.
"He stopped at a town just before the set location."
"Excelent, we can begin as soon as he leaves that town."
Vold heard the servant walking away and pulled out a map. His finger traced upon a route that was marked on the map and he stopped when he reached a town just before a big 'x' on the map.
hmm, Elders rest? He must be at his house in the noble district.
He fished the note out of his pocket and resumed writing on it.
The nobles have treated us like dirt for soo long, we are ready to strike. We just need the right moment, maybe we can even strike before he leaves the town. Elders rest has been filled with our supporters for a while now. We have gotten support from the servants and subjects of almost all the nobles. We have less support from the people who have been serving the somewhat fairer of the nobles, but we wil deal with them in due time. The entire noble faction will dissappear by the end of the month. Afterwards, the king shall fall. Vold folded the note and attached it to the birds foot and released it into the sky. He looked at the rising sun with anticapation and excitement.
His plan begins today.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
