《The Graveyard of the Dungeon God》Chapter 6 - Creating a ecosystem

It looks like there are a few misunderstandings. First off all the first floor of the dungeon will be a graveyard so there will really only be a few animals and graves that’s it. The second floor is where the real dungeon starts.
Well yes Marluxia could summon normal Animals to inhabit his dungeon, but they are animals not monsters. Animals will not give him a lot of protection that’s why he first needs to create a few stage 0 Monsters like the Wicked Snow Snake. Only if he populates his dungeon with Stage 0 Monsters as defense can he can call the floor finished. Animals are only used as food for the stage 0 Monsters.
By the way Oscar is not his Dungeon Boss, well not until now. He only promised that he will make Oscar his Boss. If the Dungeon declares one Monster as a Boss it will forcefully evolve.
Until this chapter there was no need for him to create a functioning environment, as he didn´t have any predators in his dungeon.
______________________________________________________________________________
I should first summon a few Wicked Snow Snakes, so that they can already start to reproduce. This process will only be slow at the start so I should have enough time to create a functioning environment system.
Marluxia tapped on the ground and summoned ten Wicked Snow Snakes. The newly summoned Snakes where not at all comparable with Oscar. These snakes were only a bit over one and a half meter and also only had Poison Level 1 instead of Poison Level 2. The reason for the differences between the snakes was that Oscar was a naturally evolved one. The ones that did naturally evolve into a higher Realm are always stronger than the summoned versions.
Out of these ten snakes 5 had a slightly jade like glowing skin. The snakes with the jade like glowing skin were the female ones. As snakes were really vulnerable during their reproduction, Marluxia used his Mana to let the pond grow to almost four-times the size it was before and made it six-times as deep as it was. He made a few tunnels in the pond which all connected to a cave. This cave shall be the temporary den for the Wicked Snow Snakes.

Oviparous or viviparous, I am already thrilled to find out how they will reproduce
The reproduction of snakes can be divided into oviparous and viviparous. Oviparous Snake Races are these Snake Races that will lay eggs. Viviparous Snake Races are these that will give birth to living offspring.
Slowly Marluxia started to create his own ecosystem. The first thing he did was plant all kind of plants in his dungeon. He planted a few mushrooms, medical and as well poisonous herbs all over the dungeon. The first floor got also moos in a few places. These plants shall be the food for the few insects Marluxia summoned after he had planted what in his opinion was enough for the time being. The insects will then be the food for the Rats and Bats he had in his dungeon. To ensure that the rats and bats don´t get extinguished by his predators anytime soon he created a few caves where he positioned the nests. As the nests where now so positioned that no predator can reach them the rats and bats shouldn´t die out. As the ceiling in the first floor was unlighted he let the bats life on his first floor while he put the rats on the second.
After Marluxia finished creating his ecosystem did he sighted slightly exhausted. I almost used all my Mana just to create this little ecosystem. SchiSchiSchi He started to laugh and put his hands on his face. That ecosystem isn´t even needed as the Monsters could survive on absorbing the Dungeons Mana. I just created the ecosystem for the Dungeon to get a more natural feeling, but my problem with only having one kind of Monsters still stays
Through summoning all this Animals, Marluxia got more skilled in waving Mana. He also was able to notice something rather interesting. The Animals he summoned were always created out of Fire, Water, Earth, Air and Life Mana. After he noticed this he tried a few times with his Mana around and now is able to create this rats and bats without the World Systems help.

When I got to choose a location, didn´t the World System tell me that because of the Death Mana in the surrounding it would be easier to cultivate Undead Monsters?
Marluxia pondered a bit. Maybe if I add Death Mana into the Mana Structure of the Monsters I can create undead ones. He sat down cross-legged and started to concentrate on the flow of the Mana that surrounds him. Marluxia started to gather the surrounding Death Mana and condense it into a simple structure. Slowly before his inner eyes he could see a small skeleton. After he had the feeling he has gathered enough Death Mana he slowly started to gather the Life Mana. After that he repeated the process with Fire, Earth, Water and Air Mana.
Slowly sweat dropped down from his face. Since he started with his experiment over two hours passed. It was exhausting to gather all the different kinds of Mana and weave them together. Slowly the glowing Mana-Ball which hovered before him changed its shape. Slowly but steady the Mana changed into something like a skeleton, but before the shape was completely manifested the Mana scattered. The scattering of the Mana happened suddenly and without and warning.
Driven by his wish to succeed, Marluxia started one experiment after another. Once he really did succeed everything went perfect there was only one little mistake and that was he used to much Life Mana. So the experiment resulted in forming a body but what he summoned was not an Undead he summoned something Dead. It was an abomination, but that experiment still made him happy as this was still the best results he created after around two weeks trying.
During his tenth experiment he used too much Fire Mana, which resulted in a rather huge explosion. The explosion did hurt him a lot. A few of these wounds are even now not completely healed. Luckily for him the huge burn in his face already healed.
During the seventeenth experiment he used too much Air Mana, which resulted in nothing more than dust. All his hard work destroyed into dust. The twenty-third experiment didn´t went that much better. At least he didn´t get hurt or turned his hard work into dust, that’s some kind of achievement right? During that experiment he used to much Water Mana, which resulted in the creatures melting. During his thirty-second time he created a petrified version of a skeleton, the reason for that is the usage of too much Earth Mana.
Well it´s not like Marluxia didn´t gain anything during these two weeks. He got to know that his Wicked Snow Snakes are viviparous Snakes. And there is also that message that showed up
Through your little experiments you got better and better with Magic.
You received + 100 Mana and + 3 in Magic

(#1 in metaphor)At late nights, I could see those choked words rushing out of my throat-shouting their presence in the ink of the broken pen. They are awake to be in my heart and on this paper. In the soft yellow light of the lamp, I'm weaving them again, breaking the captivity of time. Oh, I'm still writing.
