《Lost in a Magical World》Chapter 3.1: Argument

The next day Alex woke up on one if the seats on the bridge, he decided to go see whether or not they were awake to get something to eat. when he went down the stairs the first thing he heard was someone crying, he went a little further and he realized that it was Angela. He didn't know what to do, should he approach her to ask what's happening, should he just go get her friends? He didn't think he should just leave her there crying, but, if the reason she is crying has to do with their current situation, he didn't think she would feel better about seeing him.
But even before he had the time to make a decision he heard her say "You didn't say you were sorry." He stopped, not sure whether or not she was talking to him or talking to herself , when she turned around and looked at him, there was no doubt, he was the target.
"What?" was all he could think to ask.
"You" she said "Abducted us, stranded us here, and said you didn't mean it. But, I didn't hear you say that you were sorry at any moment." she said "It's like you are some type of sadist, enjoying seeing us little earth people see our lives destroyed"
There is probably a right way to handle this, but, he was a hard time thinking of one at the moment, she might be hurt, but she was accusing him of being some type of monster, and he just responded before he had the time to think.
"DO, YOU ACTUALLY THINGK I AM ENJOYING THIS?" he yelled, the continued "I had a great life, and it was on the verge of getting even better", so much for keeping it cool, he paused, trying to see if he could calm himself down.

It didn't work "now, I am stuck here just like all of you" he decided to breath in really deep.
She didn't back down "You don't act like it. In a few hours, I had to wake up that my life is basically over, all I have in my future is staying in this metal can floating in space with three other inmates" she said "AND ONE OF THEM" she yelled pointing at him "COULD BE A SERIAL KILLER FOR ALL I KNOW"
He could see the other two coming to them, they were leaving the shuttle in a hurry. They probably heard the noise
"Well, When I found out I was stuck here, do you know what I did?" he asked, she came closer to him like challenging him. It would be comical in another situation because she was short and comparing to her he was very big, but he didn't see the funny side of their situation. "After I realized I was stuck here, I raged, and raged, but you know what I found out after hours of this?"
She kept looking at him, the other two were closer now "I found out, that I was still stuck here. So, I decided that it would probably be better to make sure that the earthlings didn't wake up to see the only person who knew about their situation curled up in a ball in the corner crying"
When the other two arrived, he backed up, not wanting for them to misunderstand the situation and make things even worse "And you know what is even funnier?" he asked not able to stop himself "I am going to die of hunger" he said, they all looked at him alarmed
"You said, there was food for everyone" Paul asked, surprised by this reveal "Was it a lie?"

"No, base humans live up to one hundred years. With rationing the food will last us one hundred years" he said
"So, what is the problem?"
"Barring any accident, my people live to almost four hundred years. I am not suicidal but I hope to die in an accident before dying of hunger and alone." he said
"Why didn't you tell us?" Paul asked
"What difference would it make, except for just making everything even more somber than it is now, I don't want to spend one hundred years mourning my eventual demise" he answered, the last thing he needed is for them to spend the rest of their lives looking at him with pity
"How do you expect us to trust you if you don't tell us everything?" Alicia asked
"I told you about everything that is relevant for our situation, I didn't see how telling you this would change things" he answered honestly.
"New rule, no one hides anything. I don't see how we could live with each other for so long if we keep things from each other" Paul said
Alex decided that the best thing to do was to give them space and let thing calm down, he didn't want to spend the rest of his life locked in with people who couldn't stand him.
"Look, I was going to call you for breakfast, you can take a shower before you come in if you want, I'll give you the tour of the ship later" he said, hoping that in time things blow over.
He promptly turned around and went to the kitchen, he still needed to clear his head, he wasn't used to losing control like that, maybe it's the fact that he knows that his life is over and he wouldn't be able to enjoy the fruits of his labor after spending years focused on one specific goal it hurt, or the idea of slowly dying of hunger. Thinking about it is just too depressing, so, he went to the kitchen to make breakfast.
But, when he got there he couldn't do anything, he has been doing a fine job of keeping in control until now, but now this girl reminded him of how much he screwed up.
This wasn't one of the situations where he could just outsmart the problem, and he always thought that whatever came, he would be able to do that. After all it is one of his signature moves, but, here it's like someone thought of a perfect situation against him, he couldn't talk or trick his way out.
Worse, he dragged innocent people with him. She was right he fucked up a lot.
He was sitting in the kitchen trying his best not to cry. It wouldn't help in this situation, it might just make things worse if they saw him who is supposed to know more about what is happening acting so desperate.
