《Lost in a Magical World》Chapter 1.3:The other side

Unnamed star system
At the last moment the only thing Alex thought he could do was follow his original plan, so he opened his bay door and slowed down by applying reverse thrust enough for earth's shuttle to enter it, even if it was faster than he originally planned it went inside just before he entered the event horizon and he closed the hangar doors quickly and set out the command to repressurize it slowly, and prayed that his shuttle was strong enough to handle the unstable wormhole, and that his system was working overtime to stabilize it.
The view inside the wormhole was just as he thought light was distorted as if by some bad lenses, even with his inertial dampeners he was feeling the turbulence which means that something is very wrong with the wormhole, it somehow got more unstable suddenly, when the earth's ship came through it was stable or it wouldn't come out so intact, now with the gravitational disturbances this strong it somehow got worse, his wormholes were only supposed to be unstable in the first moments right after creation then it should stabilize
When he reached the other side he was going to have some explaining to do, the galactic nations council will ask him what he was doing on the solar system since they banned any excursions to there since the earthlings started to colonize mars eighty years ago, luckily there is still a relay there and he could use it to contact the rangers to come and get him, he was going to be detained for a while but after he explained his situation they were going to probably change his arrest in a way that allows him to finish his work, the idea of a traversable wormhole is too tantalizing to squander, he was just going to have to suffer with the idea of other people trying to take over his work but with the amount of work he has already done, they can't get full credit, after a while of his insides feeling queasy and wanted to pass out, it took a tremendous amount of will power to stay awake, even if the inertial dampener was working full time and slowing the effects gravity disturbance to a crawl it still affected every cell in his body, including his brain and being constantly moved about inside there was not good for it, even if the intensity of the movement wasn't big, the frequency was, he just hoped that the people inside the shuttle were all right

The first thing he noticed was that the trip inside the wormhole took over a minute, which shouldn't be possible, even if the travel time takes a few minutes, the person passing through the wormhole shouldn't feel more than a few seconds of relative time, so him feeling like it has been a few minutes means that either the warping of spacetime was different this time or it went much further, further than even earth, the second thing he noticed was the closest star, or more accurately stars, he was near a binary system which definitely wasn't the earth's solar system
Something is very wrong, a scan if the standard frequencies show that there is no technological activity in the system, the best thing to do now was turn around and go back through the wormhole because he was sure he was in the middle of nowhere, he turned around but before he even started toward the wormhole it closed, he sent a standard SOS burst of signal on multiple frequencies both sub and superluminal, with no response
Now he was truly fucked, the only thing he could wait for was a slow wait to death, even worse, he had company in this, whoever was in the shuttle.
He went to the shuttle, and went to the hangar bay, the repressurization cycle had already completed he went there and luckily the shuttle was still intact, he got up on a ledge and saw through the front window that its three passengers were still strapped to their chairs and inside their astronaut suits, motionless, he was not sure whether he preferred them to be dead or alive at this time, dead would imply he would die alone and in peace, alive would mean he had some company to his slow death, looking at them would not give him answers, so he went down and to the side of the shuttle, the shuttle's door was closed, he was lucky that it was the right way up, even though if it wasn't all he had to do was reverse the artificial gravity

He grabbed the medical kit and tablet before going there
He pulled a supporting cable and a gliding cart And activated it, once it lifted from the ground he, and guided it until it was by the door then jumped on top of it, the plate again used repulsion force, it could easily hold a ton on weight for a few hours with its two batteries fully charged
Luckily the shuttle had an external handle to open the door, and he easily managed to open it, he hopped in and went to check on them, he found them there still strapped to the chairs, he took out their helmets, it was two girls and a guy, the guy and one of the girls looked a little older, but the other girl looked to be about his age, he checked their pulse and found that they were still alive, he still didn't know how to feel about that, all that was waiting for them is to slowly wait to die in empty space.
He unstrapped them one by one and placed them on the ground turning them so they were lying by their side, it was strange doing it with their suits on, the head was staying at an awkward angle so he went put his tablet temporarily on the ground so the person could use as a pillow and went to find other items he could use, he didn't find any in the small shuttle so he jumped down to the ground to find anything he could use, he found some packages, he thought were the right size, getting back to the shuttle was easier, he simply jumped up to the door, even though it was some 3 meters above the ground, it was easy for him
After he was back inside he went to work placing them on the ground with the packages as pillow, he opted to leave them here so that when they woke up it would be in a familiar environment, he went back down and decided to leave the cart by their door without load it could survive for a long time and it would give them a place to use to step out of the shuttle
Now he went back to the cockpit and decided to scan the star system he is at, setting the camera to infrared is the best way for a quick scan then he can focus on the bright spots one by one, with his main ship he would have more options, but with his main ship he could simply leave the system and go toward civilized space. Doing things this way he found three planets, focusing with infrared, it's the quickest way , he easily found 3 planets on the side of the stars, one of them was a gas giant, and it was far away there were there were another two planets, the closest one light hour away
Making a profile of the planets revealed something interesting about the closest one, it had oxygen and water, zooming in showed what looked like a big ocean of water, even though that didn't change his odds of survival much it was still a curious thing, especially the oxygen, water is not strange, but oxygen is. So he set course to it, it would take a few days to get there.
