Chapter 035 - Boss Plan Part 3

Boss and the Twins gave a side-glance to Cale and Aiden before turning their heads to look at the leader of the faction.

Karla put a taunting smile as she faced King.

[Karla]: “We had been waiting for you, why did you take so long?”

King crocked smiled did not disappear at Karla’s taunt as he has brought half of his faction with him this time. Karla counted at least 50 Players behind King, as she thought that the other half of his faction probably is still recuperating after Boss had paid them a visit into their Floor a few moments early.

[King]: “Do you think I am stupid? I know you lot are strong, but there is no need to fight, isn’t it?”

Karla gave a glare to her brother, before turning back to face King once more; Karga in the other hand could only shrug his sister glared as this was not the first time he has been causing problems for their team.

In direct conflict, even if King had brought all of his faction at the same time into the fight, they would still not lose against them, but now, King’s faction does not need the fight to win anymore.

Karla could already predict what King would say next as she let out a sigh of resignation.

[King]: “I only need to wait for a few more days and then you three will leave the Tower on your own, at that time, how will you protect those two kids behind you huh?”

Boss and the Twins could only clench their hands into a fist without saying anything back as they knew they could not protect Alice and Cyan after they left the Tower, Boss plan to keep the kids safe from harm, has failed.

King crocked smile grew wider as he saw their expressions of resignation, filling him with immense pleasure, he has won now, he remembered how he had given up in harassing Boss faction under Aiden recommendations, but then it was the same Aiden that has brought him the information that Boss faction has shown a weakness and has recruited two kids.

It was also Aiden that has brought Cale into their faction one week ago, for him to use his skill on Cale, [Control], a skill that could take control of a person mind and brainwashed it.

It was the perfect plan, too use Cale as a spy and take one of the kids as a hostage, and then use that to make Boss submit to him, now King will use the same skill in Boss and take control over Boss faction.

[Control] It lets you brainwash a person, but its restrictions are huge, the number of people is limited and the person must be willing, luckily Cale mind was weakened when he had just come to Tower making easily to gain his trust and a perfect target to use his Skill.

Unlike most of King other lackeys (faction members), Boss is a professional with military grade training from the GP like Cale, making him a great asset to be worthy of being King’s faction third seat, and even if Aiden plan has half-failed it still has proven a point, that they know Boss weakness and they can still exploit it.

With Aiden and Boss at his sides, everything was perfect, now, King only needs to get his hands on Boss and the Twins and use his skill, [Control], and get control over them and with this, his power and influence over the Tower would grow exponentially, and then, taking over the Emperor faction within a week’s time would not be a dream anymore. King face glowed and ended laughing at loud as he thought about how great the future will be for him from now on.

In the other hand, Cyan body could tremble with King eerie laugh as he just realized, that even if they had successfully rescued Alice from been a hostage, they all were still hostages of the Tower. They could not escape from the King’s faction, and unless they want to hide inside their rooms for the rest of their time in the Tower, they would have to face off the King in a fight.

Cyan turned his head around to gaze over the backs of Boss, Karla, and Karga that were still trying to protecting them, as he was remembered of Boss plan, they would train them for two weeks and after that, they would pray that they got strong enough for them to defend themselves in the face of danger.

“What a silly plan that was” Cyan though of, while taking his gun out, if they cannot be protected then they would have to fight on their own, Cyan was ready for this.

King kept laughing as he saw Cyan taking his gun out.

[King]: “Kid, you thought you had saved your girlfriend?”

King smiled as he himself took out an item from his inventory.

[King]: “Don’t tell me you thought you were the only one with a gun?”

King started to spin around his own silvery gun in his hands as he played with it aiming it at Cyan and mimicking a shot. This was also an energy gun like Cyan, but this was from [Silver] Class item, unlike [Gold] they are not bound items.

Cyan now could understand from where the holes in Boss clothes have come from.

[King]: “I am feeling generous today, if you give me 2.000.000 Credits, I will allow all of you to join my faction, what do you say? It isn’t that a great offer?”

Karla could only retort back.

[Karla]: “Were you asking for 1.000.000 just before?”

The King could only shake his head out, as these thoughtless fools did not understand their current position.

[King]: “That was before you tried to play the heroes, I wanted to warn you lot about the dangers of the tower”

King kept smiling back.

[King]: “But you all ignore my good intentions, and hurt my faction members, now if you want my protection then it would cost you more”

King greedily looked at the weapon Cyan was holding out.

Boss clenched his fist once more and as if coming to a decision released it and turned around to look a Cyan and Alice.

Boss plans has now all but failed, even if they trained them now for the rest of the week, facing against a Player faction only the two of them would be very difficult, and it was a fact that this was all of his fault, as he was the target of the King’s faction and not the kids, however, there was a more direct solution to this problem.

Boss kneeled down in from of Cyan and Alice so they could be face to face, and then he put his hand into their shoulders.

[Boss]: “Cyan”

[Cyan]: “Boss?”

Cyan was Confuse by Boss actions.

Boss spoke with a serious but gentle tone.

[Boss]: “I have a lot of fun while training you, and I think you are gentle and an extraordinary strong Player, I know that you will achieve great things in the future, however, don’t try to be like me, and try to do everything alone”

Boss then turned his head to face Alice.

[Boss]: “Alice”

[Alice]: “Boss!”

[Boss]: “I think you are also extraordinary, smart and gentle, I know that you will do great things in future too, however, you are too naïve and you trust too much on people, you need to learn how to read people”

Cyan and Alice eyes started to water because they could guess this was Boss final goodbye.

[Boss]: “I know you two will be ok, only promised me that you will look out for each other”

Cyan and Alice nodded at the same, making Boss nod.

Boss solution, if he could not protect them then he would remove the threat that could harm them out of the Tower, a very easy plan.

The twins also gave their goodbyes.

[Karga]: “Newbie you need to take care of Alice, for that you need to grow stronger you know?”

[Cyan]: “Senior, I can’t let” – you fight alone!

Is what Cyan wanted to say, however, Karga interrupted him before he could finish.

[Karga]: “Then you want to leave Alice alone inside the Tower?”

Cyan could not say anything back; he already knew that after this, Boss and the Twins would be expelled from the Tower.

[Karla]: “Kids should stay out while grownups handle it”

[Alice]: “Senior for everything”

However, Karla could not Alice finish with her words either.

[Karla]: “Save it for later Alice, when we meet again outside the Tower”

Boss and the Twins stood in front of the King's faction, now, they will destroy the threat, even if, they will be expelled of the Tower afterward.

King could only laugh at their pathetic attempt to fight, he only needs to wait, and things will play in his hands.

[King]: “You think you lot can win? My faction has 1/3 of the Players of the Tower, you will never able to win”

Against Boss, King couldn’t win, but they don’t have to fight, he was very happy when he heard that the mystic Boss had a weakness and that that weakness was actually two helpless kids, with this, he could tame Boss and increased his faction power in one day, however, not everything can go as planned, as Boss shook his head, showing his refusal.

[Boss]: “I don’t need to kill all of you; I only need to take out the King”

King body tremble as he saw the smile in Boss face.

Realistic speaking, killing all the Players in the King’s faction should be impossible even for Boss, this was proven by his early visit to King’s Floor, but that was only to dwindle their numbers, and now they will take care of the 50 Players that are in from of him.

[Boss]: “I will handle the King, you two handle, Aiden, Cale”

Karla and Karga nodded as the prepared their weapons, Karla with her knife and Karga with a pair of frag grenades.

[King]: “Are you crazy! You lot’s will be expelled from the Tower, then those two kids will be left without protection then, did you thought about that!”

King was not expecting this at all this was suicide.

Boss only could smile.

[Boss]: “They can take care of themselves, because they are Players, just like me”

Boss fists started to be surrounded by a red aura while Karla prepared herself to use her Skill while Karga was prepared to do the same.

However, just at that time, someone else intervened into the fight that was about to break out, as a woman voice thundered into the floor.

[Unknown]: “Stop this already!”

Everyone stopped moving as they gathered their attention to the origin of the voice.

Cyan turned his head around and saw beautiful woman dressed in black with black hair, about the same age of Karla, sitting in a table not too far away while leisure drinking a milkshake while not caring that everyone was looking at her, even so, her voice, and presence carry a strong power that it could not be ignored by anyone.

The Woman then stood up from the table and started walking right at the center of the conflict, between Boss and King, she then gave a glance at Boss before turning around and facing against King.

[King]: “What it is, why the Emperor faction is putting their nose in other people Matters”

The Woman only shrugged her shoulders, as she did not care about what King could think of this.

[Unknown]: “I am making it a business of the Emperor faction now”

King was flustered by this development; he was not expecting the Emperor faction to intervene in this.

[Unknown]: “Listen out, everyone in the Boss faction is now under our protection, if you mess with them, then you will be messing with us too”

Even with this threat, King did not want to retreat, not when such a big piece of meat was dangling in front of him for him to take.

The Woman frowned.

[Unknown]: “You think I am playing? What did you said before that you have 1/3 of the Players of this Tower into your faction?”

The Woman snapped her fingers and all the Players that were in the food area stood up and got ready their weapons, then the elevator opened and more Players came out surrounding the King’s faction.

[Unknown]: “Then we have 2/3 of the Players of this Tower in our faction”

King could on give up after Aiden whispered something on his ear.

[King]: “We are leaving”

After that, the King’s faction withdrew from the Floor, and all the Players returned to their own business as the peace was restored back to the Tower.

Cyan and Alice could only let out a sigh of relief, they thought this was the end for the Boss faction, but they all had been saved by this mysterious Woman.

The Woman turned around and walked in front of Boss.

[Unknown]: “Long time no see James”

Boss frowned as he has been called by that name again, something he did not like.

Cyan and Alice went wide eye as they learned Boss true name.

[Boss]: “I told you no to call me by that name”

The Woman could only sigh as she interrupted Boss.

[Unknown]: “geez, I know already, you never change do you, James?”

Even so, Boss frown did not disappear.

[Boss]: “I only ask you to take care of the Kids, Why are you intervening here Remas?”

Remas could only shake her head in disappointment.

[Remas]: “I just feel like it was something I wanted to do”

[Boss]: “In that case don’t expect me to thank you”

[Remas]: “I didn’t do it for you to thank me”

Boss did not say anything else, making Remas give up.

[Remas]: “Even after ten years you still have not changed, if you had come out to the Emperor faction since the beginning we could have avoided all of this, He would have welcomed you”

Even if Remas was extending her hand out Boss could only refuse.

[Boss]: “You know better than anyone else that I can’t do that”

[Remas]: “Because your place is with the GP? however, I heard it got destroyed, so you are out a job now, what do you say? Don’t you want to join us now?”

Boss frown could only grow bigger.

[Boss]: “That it is not confirmed yet, so I will have to refuse”

Even if Remas was being refused, she did not lose her smile.

[Remas]: “Then after you confirmed it, will you come back with us?”

After a long pause, Boss gave his reply.

[Boss]: “I will think about it”

This answer made Remas smile as she nodded.

[Remas]: “Great! I will be waiting for the good news”

Nobody told Remas that the “good news” would be the confirmation of GP destruction.

Remas turned her head away from Boss and gave a look at Karla and Karga.

[Remas]: “Karla”

[Karla]: “Remas”

[Remas]: “Karga”

[Karga]: “Remas”

That was all their exchanged, as they do not have anything else to say to each other.

After that, Remas started to walk away, however, two Players stopped her.

[Cyan]: “Wait, we want to thank you for saving Boss faction”

[Alice]: “It wasn’t for your help Boss and the Twins”

Remas only shrugged her shoulders, without giving any importance it.

[Remas]: “I didn’t do it to save any of you; I was just paying out an old debt to James”

[Alice]: “Even so, you have our gratitude”

Remas thought for a second as she saw the two kids bowing to her as she thought of something.

[Remas]: “Then you two will join the Emperor faction in exchange?”

[Alice]: “That’s”

[Remas]: “Maybe if I get you two join, Boss will come back faster, and it seems he cares a lot about you two”

Cyan and Alice looked each other; actually, they did not need to think too much about it, even if they were grateful, they themselves have a debt to pay now.

[Cyan]: “We wish to remain with Boss faction”

[Alice]: “We will never abandon Boss faction”

Remas could only give up seeing the expressions of Cyan and Alice.

[Remas]: “In that case, can I ask a favor from you two?”

Cyan and Alice nodded.

[Remas]: “Boss doesn’t know how to ask for help, so can you help him even when he doesn’t ask for it?”

[Cyan]: “We will help Boss with everything we can!”

[Alice]: “Of course we will help Boss!”

[Remas]: “Very well then, I will leave him to you two, until next time kids”

[Alice]: “Wait, can you tell us what it is you relation with Boss?”

Alice and Cyan were curious about what kind of relation Boss and Remas had.

Remas smiled by the question.

[Remas]: “He is my younger brother”

Cyan and Alice were both shocked by this revelation.

[Remas]: “Small Tower we live in huh?”

After that, Remas left the area using the elevator
