Chapter 033 – Boss Plan Part 1

Karla warned Cyan.

[Karla]: “Newbie, stop looking in that direction or they will notice us”

Cyan nodded and turned his head to look at Karla.

[Cyan]: “Senior what’s the plan?”

Karla smile as she told Cyan Boss three steps plan.

[Karla]: “We enter, take Alice, and then we go out and headed for the elevator, easy right?”

Cyan felt his eyes twitching; “this cannot be the entire plan”, he thought.

[Cyan]: “Senior, that’s...”

However, before Cyan could make a complain he felt Karga hand on his shoulder.

[Karga]: “Relax kid, Karla only wants for you to calm down your nerves or it would screw up with your aim, you don’t want to shoot Alice by accident right?”

Cyan shook his head as he realized that his hand was trembling after been turn into a fist, so he let out a sigh to calm down his nerves, and released his fist.

Karga nodded as she saw that Cyan had calmed down a little bit.

[Karla]: “There is more to the plan, but you only need to follow our instructions for now, and to be ready for when enter to rescue Alice”

Cyan nodded.

[Cyan]: “I understand, Senior”

Cyan took notice that Karla that was giving him a mischievous smile now.

[Karla]: “Don’t put that face newbie; we will rescue your sweetheart Alice in no time and without a fail”

Cyan relaxed a little bit more, as he thought that if Karla has the time for teasing him, then he did not have anything to worry about for now.

[Karla]: “First, we need to send a message to Boss to inform him of our status”

After Cyan had calmed down just enough, Karla moved into the next stage of the plan, as she took out her phone to record a voice message to send to Boss

Karga was already aware of what the plan is, as they had done this kind of missions many times before, so Karla did not need to give him any explanation of what comes next, that explanation was more for Cyan than anything else.

[Karla]: “Boss, we had found the entrance, and we are 200 meters away from it, we are in a position to act, they had yet to spot us”

After they waited for a little they got a replied from Boss.

[Boss]: “How many Players are you against?”

Karga immediately gave his reply to the question.

[Karga]: “There are two guarding the entrance, and so far nobody had left the area, so there should be still six inside”

Karla nodded.

[Karla]: “Did you found anything suspicious around the [Lobby]?”

Karga shook his head.

[Karga]: “I have walked around the [Lobby] but I didn’t find any suspicious looking people”

Karga could only be grateful that today, the [Lobby] was full of new Players that had arrived just yesterday, making his task of reconnaissance easier, if the [Lobby Area] would have been deserted and with no Players around, then he would have been spotted as soon as he left the elevator.

Of course, another reason they did not spot Karga was due the fact that he was trained by the GP as a field agent for dealing with terrorist and bombs, while most of the Players inside the Tower are normal civilians with buffed up stats, but without military or police training, and they lacked experience even as security guards.

Karla nodded and relayed the message to Boss, and after a while, they got another replied from Boss.

[Boss]: “Count 2 minutes, after that, you will have 10 minutes”

Karla listened to the message with a refreshed smile, it seems Boss was also in position.

[Karla]: “Alright, let go, we have 2 minutes to get as close as possible to the entrance”

Karga nodded.

[Karga]: “Newbie, follow 5 steps behind me, only look to my back, and don’t turn your head around, understood?”

Cyan nodded, as he started to walk behind Karga.

Karga already knew the route they could take from where they were standing so they do not get spotted getting closer, and the one that leads to the closest place they could be from the entrance to a big pillar that was wide enough to cover their figures.

Cyan that did not know what is going on could only ask for more information.

[Cyan]: “Senior, where is Boss?”

Karla let the explanations to her twin brother as they moved closer to the entrance.

[Karga]: “Boss is in Floor 6, he will serve as our distraction in 1 minute time, and we need to get to our position before that, so walk fast don’t lag behind”

Cyan nodded, as he maintained Karga pace five steps behind him.

After 2 minutes, they have come to 50 meters away from the entrance and stopped behind a big pillar that could hide them, this was as closer as they could get without getting spotted from the guard's entrance, and it was close enough for Karla as she praised Karga.

[Karga]: “This is a good spot, good job”

Karga could only put a smug smile.

Karla then turned her head around to look at Cyan.

[Karla]: “Newbie, take your phone out and show us the [Map] of the [Hidden Area]”

Now that they have the pillar cover, they could act more freely without fear of getting spotted.

Cyan nodded and did as Karla told him to do and he took out his phone and opened the [Map].

In the [Map], there were reflected the six white dots and Alice, then Karla began with her count down.

[Karla]: “3…”

[Karla]: “2…”

[Karla]: “1…”

[Karla]: “Boss is moving”

Karla kept staring at the [Map], and after 30 seconds, the white dots started to move out of their positions.

[Karla]: “There they come”

Karla took out a mirror from her inventory, which she used to spy the entrance behind the pillar.

[Karla]: “Newbie keep looking at the [Map] and tell me what they are doing”

Cyan nodded as he moved to look at the [Map] again and narrated it to Karla.

Of the six white dots, three had started to move to the entrance of the room, while the other three had remained inside.

[Cyan]: “Three moved to the entrance, and three had stayed behind”

Karla nodded and then she used her mirror at that moment to see how exactly the [Hidden Area] entrance was opened. The seemingly solid wall split open in the middle like two doors put together, as three people stepped outside of the area.

Karla could easily recognize these three people even from 50 meters away, the tall one at the right was obviously Aiden, the second in command for the King’s faction and the one in the middle was the leader of the King’s faction, King, however, Karla mouth dried as she saw who the third person was.

Karla then immediately put away her mirror without being able to look any further, because unlike the other two, the third person was someone with military grade training, if they were careless that person could easily spot them in an instant, the third person was no other than the leader of the third GP unit, Cale.

King turned around and gave some instructions to one of the guards at the entrance, while Cale survived the [Lobby Area] and then stared fixedly to the pillar that Cyan and the Twins where hidden in, after a moment he turned around and followed after King and Aiden into the elevator because they were urging him to hurry.

After Cale had left the area, Karla released her hold breathe, because as soon as Cale had shown up from the [Hidden Area] her instincts had kicked in and told her to hide. It was a shame for her because she could not confirm the situation inside the room nor spot Alice.

Even so, Karla has not told this information to Cyan or Karga, as it was no relevant for completing the mission; they still needed to deal with the two guards at the entrance and the three inside the room; they will have to move fast and without distractions.

[Karla]: “We have ten minutes”

[Karga]: “I know already, geez, how many times we had done this already?”

Karla ignored her brother complains.

[Karla]: “Karga, you know what do to”

Karga nodded and he then took out a [Flash Grenade] from his inventory, removed the lock, and started to count down from ten, meanwhile Karla explained Cyan the plan.

[Karla]: “Newbie, at my signal, go out and take aim to the door, if anyone comes out from that room that is not Alice, shoot it, understood?”

While the twins were taking care of the guards, he would be providing them with support.

Cyan nodded, as he understood his role, he then took out his gun from his inventory, and hold it with his two hands as he removed the safety. For this purpose is that he had created this weapon, and now he would give it some use.

[Karga]: “4…”

Karla smile to Cyan as she saw how nervous he was.

[Karla]: “Newbie, try not to shoot Alice when we go inside ok”

Cyan face paled.

[Karga]: “3…”

[Cyan]: “Senior, that’s…” – a horrible thing to say.

However, before Cyan could continue he was interrupted.

[Karla]: “Relax, newbie, it will be fine, we will save Alice, I promise you”

Karla took her starting running position, while she tried to reassure Cyan that everything would be ok.

[Karga]: “2…”

[Karla]: “Go!”

Karla dashed forward into a sprint as she rushed to the [Hidden Area] entrance, and into the two guards. A professional athlete could run 50 meters in 4.5 seconds; Karla could do it in less than 2 seconds with her current stats.

Meanwhile, Karga had jumped out from the pillar at the same time Karla has dashed forward, immediately after that, he threw out the [Flash Grenada] at the entrance guards in a straight line instead of an arch, as he has already calculated the exact time the grenade will detonate.

At that time, the guards had spotted Karla running into their direction and moved to take out their phone and call for help as King had told them to do; however, Karga [Flash Grenade] exploded into their faces and blinded them, preventing them for doing anything.

Even if they are Players, humans with superior stats, they still have the same weakness as before, and conventional grenades could still work on them; however, the duration would be a lot shorter than a normal human would have.

Karga could only be thankful that these guards were not equipped with equipment against this kind of attack. Not to mention, that in an open space like the lobby, it was harder for a flash grenade to be of any use.

Even so, the Twins had developed this strategy where Karla would serve as a decoy to put the target eyes into her, while Karga would put the grenade in the position with the best effectivity possible, the end result was the guards been blinded by a few seconds, but this was enough for Karla.

Cyan exited the pillar and aimed his gun to the door at 50 meters of distance; this was 20 meters more than the distance he has practiced with Karla as a moving target, even so, his hands did not tremble in the slightest. Nevertheless, after two seconds, Karla had already managed to reach to the guards and then she knocked them down with a spin kick to the stomach and the head, all the while, he was covering the [Hidden Area] entrance door with his gun.

Karla ended in a flash; however, the mission was not over yet.

[Karga]: “Let’s go, kid”

Cyan and Karga then sprinted to catch with Karla at the door; when they got there, Karga took out a rope from his inventory, and tied up the two guard’s hands and feet, in case they wake up, and he had taken their phones so they could not call for help in any case.

Meanwhile, Karla has been guarding the entrance door, awaiting for Cyan and Karga to get to her position, and for Karga to finish with the guards.

[Karla]: “Newbie, the map”

Karla hurried up Cyan to take out the [Map] because they had caused no small commotion, and if they alerted the guards that were inside, everything would get more complicated, luckily for them, it seems the [Hidden Area] door has a barrier that was sound proof.

After checking the [Map] in Cyan phone, Karla saw that the Players inside the room where standing in the same position as they were just before, making her let out a sigh of relief, even so, the people around the [Lobby] were looking at them and taking pictures.

At that time, the twins got a few other notifications.

Message [Midas]: “Player Karla is fined 1000 Credits for injuring another Player outside the [PVP Arena]”

Message [Midas]: “Player Karla is fined 1000 Credits for injuring another Player outside the [PVP Arena]”

Message [Midas]: “Player Karga is fined 500 Credits for restraining another Player outside the [PVP Arena]”

Message [Midas]: “Player Karga is fined 500 Credits for restraining another Player outside the [PVP Arena]”

The twins dismissed their notifications, as they move on with the next stage of the plan. Of the ten minutes, they had already consumed two, meaning they only have eight minutes left in the clock.

Karla relayed this information for Cyan to hear.

[Karla]: “we have eight minutes”

Cyan and the Twins then took a position at each side of the door with Karla at the middle.

[Karla]: “Newbie, same method, at my signal, we enter, Karga, you will take out the one in the right, I will take out the one in the left, Cyan, you will take out the one in the back”

Karla had been pointing out the position of the Players in the [Map] while she was explaining their roles out, unlike before, they guards are sparse around the room, and Karla alone could not take them all out fast enough, this time Karga and Cyan would have to play a role in.

Cyan could not help to shudder to the thought of actually shooting a person down.

Karla took notice of Cyan hesitation; however, she could only push the plan forward.

[Karla]: “Newbie, Alice is inside that room, don’t wait for us to handle all the guards, as soon as we open that door, I want you to aim your gun to the Player stomach and press the trigger, understood?”

Cyan nodded with his head, indicating that he understood the situation, as the thought of Alice getting hurt remove any shred of hesitation from his mind and his hands.

What Karla did not mention was that with Alice in the back of the room if one of them fails, then the hostage would be in danger. Moreover, the target that she had assigned to Cyan was the one besides Alice, and the one that was farther back in the room, and even with her speed she was not sure of making in time, Cyan was the only that could take that target out before it could use Alice as a hostage.

Karga started the count down from ten again, with another [Flash Grenade] in his hands; he only has three of these, and this was his last one.

[Karga]: “4…”

Karla moved into position to open the door, she already saw how the King’s faction had opened the door, it was very easy, as there were not any locks in it, you only need to push it open.

[Karga]: “3…”

Karla took a breath, as she thought in how many times it was now, that she had been doing this kind of jobs. Karga was having the same kind of thoughts as his sister.

[Karga]: “2…”

[Karla]: “Go!”
