Chapter 031 - A New Promise

Even though Cyan was eager to learn how to use this Sword, he could only postpone for now.

[Cyan]: “Senior, I want also to open the [Random Item Box] first”

[Karga]: “Go ahead then”

However, before Cyan opened the box, he took the chance to write a message to [Midas], or better yet, to Willy.

Reply: “Willy, are you there?”

Immediately after, he got a replied.

Message [Willy]: “Affirmative”

Cyan has been writing to [Midas] all this time trying to get in contact with Willy, but this was the first time he got such a direct replied, even the sender has been changed from [Midas] to [Willy], and a contact has been added, he could now communicate directly with him if he needs to, however, this was not the time for pondering about this matter.

Reply: “Willy, I need an item that I can use right now from the [Random Item Box], can you help me?”

After waiting for a while, Cyan got another replied.

Message [Willy]: “An armor would do?”

Cyan shook his head, as he felt Willy was probably observing him right now.

Reply: “Not an armor, I need another weapon, one that would be easy to use without previous training, and that I could use out of the box”

Message [Willy]: “Understood, Cyan can proceed to select the item now”

Reply: “Thank you, Willy”

With a little bit of luck and help from Willy, Cyan will get the Weapon he wanted. Even though he has already thought of a Weapon he could use right now, and that was easy to use, it was better to ask Willy for his input, as there was also the possibility that Willy could think of a better option than the one he has thought of. Not to mention Cyan did not know what [Midas] has to offer from a [Random Box].

If Cyan feeling was in the right, then he needs all the help he could get right now.

Cyan pressed [Accept], then he took out the item out of the box, and just like during last time, a golden light started to being emitted from the box, as he took out another [Golden] class Weapon from the box.

This time, Cyan immediately read throughout the item description, without minding how plain it looked in the outside.

A plain looking, golden colored, gun, and even though it looks more like a toy-gun than an actual gun, this was, in fact, something unlike any other gun on Earth.

Cyan did not care much how it looked in reality, because, this was the Weapon that he was looking for right now, as it was something that he could use without previous training.

However, there was still a problem, as Cyan was not expecting a [Golden] class item again; he was expecting something he could use out of the box, this was probably Willy own doing, but that means Cyan has to have a way for solving it.

Cyan could only let out a sigh as he started to think of a solution for the next step. He was already aware that he would have to bind this item to himself and that during the binding process he will have to visualize the Weapon while the item was taking shape, a failed visualization will break the item.

For his Sword, this was not a problem at all, but for the gun, he did not have enough knowledge of guns for doing that. Even so, Cyan could only give it a chance, as he thought of something he could do to improve his chances of success for the binding process, as he has done a completed visualization just a moment ago.

Cyan then opened his [Status] on his phone once again.

A head-splitting pain invaded Cyan brain, unlike when his stats increased during his sleep, which was an almost painless process, forcibly increasing his stats this way was anything, but painless.

Karga immediately moved next to Cyan.

[Karga]: “newbie, are you ok? What are you doing using your Free Points like that?”

[Cyan]: “Sorry for worrying you Senior, I am ok now”

After 5 minutes have passed and the pain has faded away from Cyan mind, he could confirm that his memory and speed of thinking has in fact increased by another fold since this morning.

But more important than this was the fact that after putting all of his stats in the same level, he felt another qualitative change happening inside him, as he felt all the pieces that composed his body started to fit together like a gearbox and started to work together, however, he could not delve in this new feeling for much longer.

Cyan turned to look at Karga that was busy examining the golden gun in his hands.

[Karga]: “You got another golden item?, your luck sure is amazing, I am feeling very jealous right now, maybe if you give me more Credits I will feel better…”

Cyan interrupted Karga that was shamelessly asking for more Credits out of him.

[Cyan]: “Senior, do you perhaps carry a gun that I could borrow for a moment?”

Karga though for a second and nodded, and then he took out his Sister precious [G-17-WDGP] series, that he was forced to carry around for self-defense. This was a GP modified version of the normal [G-17] series, that allowed the use of a higher caliber rounds that could travel up to 100 meters, unlike the normal version that only could be used up to 50 meters. It also could hold a total of 20 rounds in the magazine and 1round in the gun, making this a very deadly weapon in the hands of experience shooter.

What it makes this the GP official use weapon was that in the hands of an inexperienced person, this gun was still as deadly, making it the go-to Weapon of use for the masses, for its reliability, it’s easy to clean and maintain body, and it was very easy to aim and shoot, not to mention, it was very precise up to 100 meters.

However, after becoming Players, this thing has become nothing more than a toy now, if you get it by it, it will sting sure, but that was it and nothing more, the twins had already tested the gun on themselves a few times, and Boss was practically immune to it right now after achieving a [Breakthrough].

Even so, Karga only handed the gun to Cyan after removing the magazine and the bullet in the chamber, as a precaution for him to not accidentally shoot himself in the face.

After examining the outside, Cyan then proceeded to take the gun apart with his bare hands; he did not need to use any tool for this process, making Karga start to frown.

Even if this weapon was just like a toy now, if Cyan broke it while fiddling with it, his Sister that was a gun-lover, would not let him hear the end of this, however, with the speed and dexterity that Cyan was showing while taking apart the gun, didn’t let Karga any chance to say anything at all to stop him.

Cyan, on the other hand, did not pay attention to Karga frown, as he proceeded to disassemble the gun following the step-by-step instructions manual that Willy has sent him shortly after asking Karga for taking his gun out.

When Cyan got to the Tower his Intelligence was only 12 points he will had Willy to repeat the same information before he could memorize something out of it, but now, with 53 of Intelligence, he could memorize the one-page manual that Willy has sent him after reading just three times. In addition, thanks to his 53 points of Dexterity, he could easily move his hands as he intended to, making the job of taking apart a gun very easy for him to do, even Karga was impressed by Cyan handling.

It only took Cyan 20 minutes to take the gun apart and put it back together five times in a row, by this point he already had memorized the weight, shape, and the internal mechanisms of the gun, with missing a single detail.

Cyan nodded, satisfied with this result, he then returned the gun to Karga, Karga checked that his gun was working in perfect order and put it away inside his inventory without saying anything, as he could more or less guess what Cyan was doing right now.

Cyan then took out the [Golden Gun] that he had stored inside his inventory while he was fiddling with the [G-17]. Immediately after, Cyan got another message on his phone.

Message [Midas]: “Do you wish to bind the [Golden Gun], Procced [Yes] or [No]?”

Even though Cyan was very confident he could recreate the gun inside his head now, he still felt this was not enough; this normal looking gun will not cut it. His sword has an attack of 50 points, while the [G-17-WDGP] only has an attack of 4 points, which means, that just recreating this gun would not be enough, a changed has to be made to the gun.

Cyan took out his phone again. Even if he could visualize a normal gun now, changing into something else will required assistance.

Reply: “Willy, can you assist me during the visualization process to make the weapon more powerful?”

Message [Willy]: “Affirmative”

Reply: “Thank you, Willy; if you ever need something I promised that I will help you no matter what”

Message [Willy]: “Understood”

Cyan could only feel sad about the matter that Willy keeps helping him repeatedly, if Willy ever asked him for anything, Cyan promised himself he would agree to it, no matter what it was.

Message [Midas]: “Please visualize your desired weapon during the binding process, an imperfect visualization will produce the binding process to fail and the item to break”

Cyan pictured the gun inside his mind exactly as he remembered; however, during the binding process, the gun internals was change, from one that uses conventional rounds to one that uses [Energy] rounds as ammunition.

This time, the process was extremely fast as Cyan was getting Willy assistance during the visualization process, and when the process was over, the golden looking toy-gun has been changed into an exact replica of the [G-17-WDGP], however, even though it looked just the same on the outside, it was completely different on the inside.

Cyan then checked the gun on his phone.

Cyan immediately checked the modes of operation for the weapon.

Each round will have a fixed cost of 5% of [Energy] for maximum penetration.

[Explosive Mode]

Each round will have a fixed cost of 7% of [Energy] and it will generate an explosion on impact.

[Overclock Mode]

Each round will have a variable cost up to 10% of [Energy]; the durability of the weapon will be affected. It must be used in conjunction with [Normal] or [Explosive] modes.

In the end, Cyan could not be more satisfied with these results; this gun was something Cyan could use right now, if he needed it to, and it has a lot of power, not to mention, it will also keep working in the future, as it was also a [Growing] Weapon like his [Back Sword].

[Cyan]: “I think this will do”

Cyan nodded with his head, turned his head around to look at Karga in the eyes.

[Cyan]: “Senior, I will ask for one last time…”

Cyan changed his expressions from easy going to a deadly serious, as he loaded his gun up.

[Cyan]: “Where is Alice?”

Karga figured out that his attempts to distract Cyan had all but been in vain thus far, even if he wanted to lie after remembering how Cyan has given him 50.000 Credits with his incent looking face, Karga could not bear the thought of lying to him.

However, before Karga could answer, someone else has responded in his instead.
