We kept meeting more and we deduced that they must have some connection or control over a powerful sea creature that even Merlea does not know about.

We narrowed it to one creature since all of the dangerous ones are carefully monitored, though we do not know which one it is.

A wild one or intelligent one? both are possible since the wild one can be lured into whatever position they want or the intelligent ones wants something.

We came to the conclusion that's it's a new sea creature that no one knows about which is why it can't be found, we can't do anything about that so we will leave it for now.

Eventually we decided to gain more influence and trust to corner the traitors.

On day 420, a merman soldier came to report to the royal mansion - 'The giant's ships have found one of the big farming fields and the battle is at a stalemate.'

'Which one?' says Merlea.

'The medicinal field of the Deew plant, they are holding on but the defense will break eventually'

'That field is our biggest source of pain and stress relieving medicine so it is well protected so the forces must not be any mere fleet but how did they get that close?'

'Yes, all of the giants use fire magic and the number of ships number 7 ships, if they could use wind or water magic the battle might have already been lost.'

'Only fire magic and 7 ships? that means it's the fire tribe giants but only the fire giants with their own country which reside in the southern part of the giant continent can afford ships yet they have come a long way' says Merlea.'

'They are likely a reconnaissance squadron, we can't let them leave alive and reveal our poistions.'

Mermi asks ' 7 ships should be easy to win against with the amount of military force there so why are they losing?'

'that is..'

'Come out with it already.'

'Y-YES. The commander of the field is away and a school of heat resistant salmon suddenly came along with a strong group of magic marlins and some sharks, they are dividing the forces.'

'What else? that's not enough to break the defense.'

'A gigantic shark came but it does not have good magic proficiency so it is being kept at bay and the giants are avoiding it too.'

'Gigantic shark, about 6/10th that of the giant's height of 1km, it's definitely a threat with their small group.'

'The focus is on preventing the fire giants from leaving by using water magic to stop their ships which has lead to a stalemate since their fire magic makes the sea scorching hot and difficult to fight head and deploy the sea creatures.'

I suggest we go help, I say after hearing the situation.

Holy Fish? says everyone surprised.

'It's a good oppurtunity to spread our name, gain fighting experience and the fight will not be hard since it is already stalemated even without us there.'

The mermaid twins agree and Merlea gives her approval after some thought.'

'I'll allow you girls to go but don't do anything stupid like charging the ship, that's for you Merleona.'

'..ok.' Merleona says while looking defeated, was she really going to attack them that way?

A ride is prepared for us, a huge sailfish, nice silver blue color and sail like fins.

The maids and Merlea stay, nobody else is accompanying us either.

The sailfish can swim at 68mph normally but this huge one should go up to 1700mph/2735km since it's evolved twice at 5x each but that seems too slow for this giant world.

That's without factoring any skills though and the body size alone should make it faster too, just double it to the original speed when it evolves? that's 10x so it comes to 6800mph/10943km which I think that's good for the fastest type of fish at only 2 evolutions, so every evolution ups the height by 5x while the the speed by 10x

We get on the fish, it's way bigger than me since it's base size is already a bit over my size of 12.5 meter so it's now 75 meters.

I easily hold being 12.5 meters now and we head off, it should take less than half an hour to get to our desitnation since it used some speed skills.
