And thus, we return back to the current situation of me in front of my new classmates.
“Lee Jung Woo has recently moved to Europe, due to his parent’s company. He has shown great capabilities and thus transferred into our school. Jung Woo ya, why don’t you introduce yourself to everyone?”
Scratching my head, I just say a brief introduction to my classmates.
“Well, like the teacher just said, i’m Lee Jung Woo. Hope you all help me out and that we all get along”
“Hmmm... Now about where you will seat. Oh how about over there by the window in the second row?”
“umm.... sure”
After that, I head over to my new seat. Along the way, I hear my classmates whispering...
*He’s a Korean eh....*
*A survivor of the First Invasion in Asia huh?*
*Did you see him fight the Queen of Destruction this morning?*
*Eh? He did? How badly did he lose?*
*He actually was about to win when the headmistress stopped the fight?*
*No way~~ The Queen of Destruction is one of the top class Sophomores...*
Ignoring the comments, I sit down in my seat. Haa.... this is going to be tiring.... While I was mentally attempting to prepare myself, I hear a familiar voice behind me.
“Yo, commander”
“?!?!”
Hearing the familiar title that no one here should know, I immediately turn around to see who knows of my identity. What greets my eyes is the face of a very familar person. Mikael Drakon. He was the son of one of my platoon leaders (PL) in the Leviathan Co. Mikael had been around even before I had come along and been tagging along with us. I had spotted him one day watching our training a couple years back. Thinking he might be a future asset, I talked his mother LT Ariana Drakon about him.
“LT Drakon”
“Yes sir?”
“I saw your son here earlier today watching our training”
“!! I’m sorry about that sir. Unfortunately his father died during the invasion and I leave him with the other children during training but he somehow always escapes from there and watches our training from time to time... I will make sure to give him a good scolding tonight sir!”
“No no thats not why I brought this up. LT, are you planning on letting him join the military when he gets older?”
“He keeps asking me to let him, but seriously I’m not sure yet....”
“Well why don’t you let him train with us? He seems about my age, what do you think of having the Drill Sergeant(DS) train him up a little and see what he thinks of the military then”
“!! Roger Sir, he is the same age as you. Personally I would like that as he does need a good ol yelling from a (DS)once in a while... but would that be ok?”
“I think it should be alright. You never know? He might become a child who grows up later and becomes as strong as me eh?”
“Haha I thank you for your consideration, but I don’t think that is possible sir, you are simply too strong”
And thus, Mikael had started training with our units from then on. At first he had struggled as his body wasn’t strong enough, but after a couple of months he had grown the muscles necessary and his progress has excelled. Everyone in the company was very proud of him and were looking forward to Mikael joining our unit next year when he had become of age. I had already put in a word with the Personnel Division and made sure he would come to me when he joined. But, strangely, here he was.
“!! Mikael! What are you doing here?!”
“Haha, commander, someone had to be by your side to protect you. When the PLs were discussing who to send to watch over you, I volunteered as I was your age and I could just join the school and be close to you”
“Hoho.... so you think you can protect me with your skills eh?”
“Can the two of you be quiet please? We’re receiving a lesson”
The girl beside me remind us that were in class and we both shut up while looking in front to pay attention to the class.
“Who hear knows about the First Invasion? Ah, Isabel, please explain to the rest of the class”
The person who had just told us to shut up had raised her hand at the teacher’s question and now stood up. Looking at her more closely, she looked beautiful. She was of taller stature than most girls at the height of 5’8. Her figure was very slim while still having an athletic look to it. Her blossom weren’t small while not being too big. She had a sharp chin and her face had a noble look to it. She had short sky blue hair that reached her chin line.
“Sir, the first Invasion occured 10 years ago. Scores of yokais appeared at New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Cairo, Dubai, and Seoul. The Yokai all swarmed the cities, overrunning them in less than a day. They continued on their rampage, taking out everything along their path. The military at that time was not able to stop the invasion, as our military weapons had no effect on them. A year after the invasion, when about ¾ of the world was overrun and our population dwindled to 10 million, The Dusk Witch, Alexandria Di-Leon introduced Celestial Weapons. With her unit equipped with them, they were able to fight back. This turned out to be the changing point as humanity finally found a spear that would defeat the invaders and 4 years later, we had finally pushed them back”

“Excellent answer, Isabel! Like Isabel said, if it wasn’t for the Celestial Weapons, humanity would not have survived. Our headmistress, Alexandria Di-Leon, while in command of the UHF forces, created the 7 academies that are here to develop future talents for Celestial Weapons. And all of you, the students are here because you have been identified as people who are compatible with Celestial Weapons. Currently, about 1 in every 3,000 children have been identified to be compatible with them. Currently, there around 1,000 students divided between the 7 academies that teach you all how to properly handle them in preparation of a future invasion. Even though it has been 5 years since the Yokai fell, they will invade again”
During his lecture, the bell finally rang, signifying it had become lunch time.
“Ho, it is already time for lunch eh? Anyways, everyone have a good lunch and I will see you back here in a hour. Oh yeah, Isabel? As the class representative, could you please show Jung Woo where the cafeteria and other facilities are?”
“Yes Sir”
“Alright transfer, you heard the teacher. Let’s go to the cafeteria”
“Um...sure”
Standing up before even making sure I had, Isabel starts walking out. I stand up quickly and follow her. But not before leaving a word to Mikael.
“Hey Mikael, at the end of class today, come by to my dorm. We have many things to talk about”
“Understood Sir”
“Ha... don’t call me that here, you’ll blow my cover”
After that, I quickly catch up to Isabel who had been waiting for me in the hall way. Noticing I had come out, she immediately walks again, but this time at a slower pace and I walk beside her. After about 5 minutes of akward silence, I finally couldn’t take it anymore and speak.
“Um... so your class representative right?”
“Yes”
“Ho... you must be pretty strong then”
“I’m the strongest out of freshmen”
“That’s awesome. So where are you from?”
“France”
“Ah, that country sure is beautiful eh?”
“...”
Akward!! At least be more communicative then with short answers! While retorting her in my head, we finally reach the cafeteria.
“Here is the Cafeteria. All meals are free for students. You know the way back right? See you in class then bye”
“....Haa....”
Sighing to myself while watching Isabel leave, I head into the building. The Cafeteria was a large building with a glass roof that let you see the sky. There were several different types of food that were being served from different booths. Asian, European, American. You name it, you would see it here. Going to the booth with the shortest line, I pick up some korean short ribs and sit down at a empty table. While silently minding my business, I notice a group of students heading toward my way. A short moment later, the group stops beside me. A male steps out from the group and points his finger at me.
“You! You think your some big shot huh? Daring to fight the Queen of Destruction your first day here huh? Well brat, listen up! Don’t you dare think that those petty tricks you used on her would work again! As your senior, we have decided that we need to teach our younger the proper ways of how things go here”
Haa... how come such a annoying situation is occuring to me.... I knew it was a bad idea to listen to the old hag and come to school here... While trying to think of what I should do... Out of nowhere Isabel returned...
“Seniors..... it is dishonorable ganging up together on a new freshman”
“...?! Princess Dragonheart?! Shit..... Hey noobie! Count your lucky stars, we’ll just stop it at this today but next time, it won’t go so quietly!”
Princess?! Wait Dragonheart?!
“Eh?! Dragonheart, France?! Wait, you’re the princess of France?!”
“..Eung”
“...”
“Well, transfer, it is time to head back to class. Let’s go”
Sighing, I stand up and follow Isabel. The rest of the day the teacher explained more in detail about the “First Invasion” When the final bell rang, he made one last announcement before we all departed.
“All right everyone, that will conclude the lesson today. Also, tomorrow we will begin the summoning of everyone’s contract so everyone be prepared!”
After saying that, the teacher leaves and a commotion goes up as the students excitedly talk about the finally getting a contract. The contract was very important as it was what created the Celestial Weapons. Wait shit! This isn’t the time to be thinking about that stuff!! What am I going to do, I already got a contract! While panicking about how to deal with this issue, Isabel walks past me, and says in a soft whisper
“Well, you won’t have to worry much, contractor of “Apep”
“...?!?!”
And walks out the room.... What the hell?! How did she know who my contract was with?! ....Just who the hell is this Isabel?!
