I feel great after yesterday, I had a great time with my family and my girlfriends family, She is getting better still can't walk on her own but shes making a speedy recovery ^_^ thanks for the support I appreciate it.

Chapter 15: The Heroes Worth

Volume 2 Chapter 2

"You want drinks... Aren't you quite drunk already?" Paul said to her quite surprised

"I... Drunnnnnnnnnk? whhhhhaaaaaaa, nooooooo wayyyyyyyy... Im fiiiiiiine seeeee?" she slurs and stumbles everywhere as she spins to show us she isn't drunk

However all this does is make her throw up once again and fall backwards and she says

"Guiiiiiiiise where'd yuu goooo?" She says while looking into the dark lit sky, her long silky black hair almost looks like t seeps into the gravel of the street, her right eye is scarred diagonally going downwards to the left however it is hard to see the colors of her iris as its really dark, she had many womanly features... her chest was huge, her ass was flat but her frame supported what curves she did have, she had a pretty face which could pass for a 30 year old if im being completely honest

"I have a bad feeling about recruiting her for our party... she seems like she will be more of a problem than a solution later on." Anastasia says with resolve

I look around and see Paul and Brooke nodding, Ares and Shiro look like they are willing to give her a chance both sides looked towards me to settle this tie breaker.

"I want to give her a chance, but I feel like the risk is pretty high as well. hey girl what is your name?" I asked wanting to be polite

"..."???

"Umm drunken girl what's your name?" I asked

"..."???

"She fell asleep while we argued huh?" Paul laughed afterwards

"Is it okay for her to be so defenseless, I imagine guys who found her sleeping in the middle of the street would do something tragic to her... or does she act this way because she thinks shes special." Paul said with a curious face.

"Well lucky for her were heroes, Ok lets carry her to our inn and when she wakes up in the morning we will ask her to travel with us for a short time under some conditions." I said while glaring at Paul who may have been thinking of disgusting things at the time

8 hours later

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh who are you people, oh god I wasn't kidnapped again was I?" ???

"... Umm good morning and no you weren't kidnapped but you fell asleep on the street so we carried you back to our inn, and what do you mean kidnapped again?" Anastasia says having woken up an hour ago and was sharpening her blades

"It probably happens a lot if she gets as drunk as she did yesterday." Paul laughed

"I wasn't even that drunk I was just testing to see if your group was gonna do anything while I was acting..." ???

"Can you just tell us your name, so we can move this conversation along?" I asked

"My name is Dia Declan and I really wasn't drunk I was just testing you people." She looks confident but her face is still red and her eyes dart all over the room

"If you weren't sleeping why did you just let us take you away?" Anastasia questioned her

"I felt you were good people and weren't going to do anything to me." She says

"So when you really did fall asleep it was because you felt safe?" Anastasia asks

"I never fell asleep I was just waiting with my eyes closed!" Dia yells at Anastasia

"I see, you're an idiot... I get it." Anastasia says and then looks away

Dia's face becomes bright red and her eyes shined with a green light and she immediately reached for her dagger.

Anastasia seeing this moved one hand to her blade holstered on her waist and another to a defensive position however in a split second Dia had thrown her blade into Anastasia's stomach.

"Oh my, im so sorry my hand slipped~" She says while giggling and reaches into her bag

We all got into defensive positions, but the blade that was just in Anastasia's stomach just flew back in Dia's direction and a small blue wire was clearly visible that lead back to Dia's hand.

"There we go, I will put it away now so no more accidents like that happen again as long as not insulted again." As Dia laughed

Anastasia had collapsed onto the ground holding her new wound

"I should still be able to stand after taking a knife to the stomach, you poisoned the blade?" She questioned Dia

"Well it wasn't coated in poison just my mana and when it pierced into your body I sent pulses of my mana to travel throughout your body slowly blocking blood from flowing to cause a sort of paralysis." Dia explained what she did

"I see clever, Gabriel and Shiro give me a hand, we need to get to the village chiefs house to find the other healer to fix me up" She commanded Shiro and myself but made it sound like she was asking for assistance

"Yeah lets go" I ran to her side and put my head under her left arm and Shiro ran to her right arm and right as we turned Dia said

"Ill heal it, It was an accident after all" She giggled

"No thanks I don't need a hot headed idiot healing me" Anastasia said while we were walking towards the village chiefs villa,

"Tsk tsk shouldn't have said that." Dia said clicking her tongue

"Owwwwwww my back, that bitch threw another knife at me!" Anastasia said as she grunted in pain and I turned around to see Paul ready his blade and walk towards Dia and once again she says something

"I reached into my bag to grab medicine vial and accidentally grabbed a knife and when trying to put it back into my bag I accidentally let it go, I really have no grip today, I am so sorry." She giggles again and reaches into her bag again and pulls out another knife "I think I heard her call me a bitch just now..."

"Hey stop it Dia, we need a healer but if you keep this up we will retaliate" I yelled at Dia

"Hey put the knife down" Paul yelled

"Oh my a knife again? I really thought this was a potion my vision is really bad today" She said and puts it back into her bag

"I really will heal her if she stops insulting me." Dia says after putting her dagger away

"Anastasia just let her heal you we aren't even sure the other healer is at the chiefs villa and the loss of blood is dangerous." I said to her

"Fine but if she tries anything you five better stop her!" Anastasia yells at us

"Ok so I would normally shout something stupid but she's not in the best condition so Medic Heal~" Dia waves her hand towards Anastasia and light drifts from her palms towards Anastasia and envelopes her

Within 5 seconds the heals begin to close I'm guessing the beginning process was healing the wounds inside her body so there wasn't any blood hemorrhaging or clots.

She was healed completely but had a unsatisfied look as it didn't ease the pain she felt and she was still in a bit of pain as I could tell from her irritated face

"Did you use your worst healing spell?" Anastasia asks Dia in an annoyed tone

"No but I didn't pour much mana into it, must be a little hungover" She giggles again

Before Anastasia could say another word Dia reached into her bag and the next second a blade was back in Anastasias stomach

"What the hell Dia I said we would retalliate if you did it again!" I yelled at her

"She called me a bitch earlier I was just getting even, besides I will heal her again if she apologizes for insulting me all those times." Dia responded with a wide smile

"Besides somedays I am such a butterfingers, sorry. However for future reference Don't insult me again Anastasia." (hinting at Anastasia calling her a bitch earlier)

"Fine im sorry heal me already but I will pay you back for this." Anastasia glares at Dia

She giggles and pulls the dagger back to herself. Extends her hand towards Anastasia again and casts another heal this time the pain disappeared instantly along with the wound. "See all fixed" Dia said

"Thanks..." Anastasia said while gripping her blade

"Please let it go Anastasia, I think she went too far but I don't want to see you go overboard too." Shiro pleads with her

"Okay I will let it go for now but I will get my revenge later" She glared at Dia

"Oh well, I fear there might have been a misunderstanding." Dia giggles and grabs an alcohol bottle out of her bag

The second she stuck her hand in the bag though everyone got on the defensive and was waiting for her to throw another dagger

"So as I said we really need a healer however if you attack anyone else we will look elsewhere for a healer, so do you want to join our team for a while if you fit in well enough and you like it here you can stay, however we won't trust you as you have displayed you are quick tempered and even willing to attack others because they insult you, and for your own good don't ever attack Anastasia again... she is really fast and really strong." I said

"Sure as long as I get paid I don't mind" She laughed again

"How much are you expecting to get paid, and how often?" I asked again a little nervous

"2 Adamantium a week" Dia responded

"Damn thats a lot but we don't really have a choice." Paul and I said at the same time.

"I am a little curious how have you survived for so long attacking anyone who insults you, and drinking so much you fall asleep in the middle of the street?"I asked because I was really curious

"Everyone knows who I am so they keep their distance and most people who find me sleeping are people I haven't wronged so they take me to an inn and the inn keepers recognize me or if they have a grudge they either kidnap me or rob me either way I find them and take back what they stole or if they did kidnap me I break their arms and deliver them to the guards. So most people don't mess with me anymore."

"I have been hired to be a castle healer in many different cities, I have been assigned to nobles ranging from low ranking squire's to the King's personal healer, I used the guard captains to train me so I can defend myself as well as court owned master swordsmen." She explained how she is both a good healer and good fighter

Currency of the world

10 bronze to get 1 Iron, 3,000 bronze to get one Roxis Core.

5 Iron to get 1 steel,1500 Iron to get one Roxis Core.

10 Steel to get 1 Adamantium, 300 Steel to get one Roxis Core

5 Adamantium to get 1 Gold piece, 30 Adamantium to get one Roxis Core

3 Gold pieces to get 1 Refined Gold, 6 Gold Pieces to get one Roxis Core.

2 refined Gold to get 1 Roxis Core, 2 refined Gold to get 1 Roxis Core.

The king had given us two Roxis Cores and 3 Gold Pieces to cover our expenses, The cores are close to the size of a baseball. Roxis cores all normally look the same with a light green pulsing in the middle however if the mana inside is drained it will quickly lose its brightness until it reaches a dull dark green and than black.

we didn't understand why they were so rare but when Lucreille told us about the Roxis Core and the uses they had our mouths opened wide.

He also told us why they were so rare.

First, they can be used to enchant a weapon giving it certain abilities such as fire, ice, lightning, wind, mana drain, make the blade become sharper with the more blood that coats it, etc.

Secondly, shatter the core and let the mana escape into the closest living being making that being several times stronger physically and spiritually.

Thirdly, have a Wizard or Witch use Mana Manipulation to draw the mana out but leave a bit inside to trick people into buying an almost empty Roxis Core which is illegal, a good Wizard or Witch can take out all the mana but leave the Roxis core with its bright green color.

Fourth, an empty Roxis core can be used as a decoy or an improvised flash grenade, when a core is empty if it was cracked it would be filled with mana and then sealed with hot iron and then burning the iron with flame magic, let the mana sit inside the core for a week and then making a small hole and filling the hole with a stick of fyrwood (this wood is imbued with strange magic and when it comes in contact with fire, the fyrwood will spread with an incredible pace and release the imbued magic that will ignite the mana trapped inside) thus giving it an instant flash effect that explodes right after the core explodes, same process if the core isn't cracked extract all the mana inside and then fill it with mana and slide in a stick of fyrwood, there must be no gaps for the mana to escape in order for this to work.

Lastly, sell to a collector.

Many Roxis cores were wasted because people didn't realize you can extract mana out with mana manipulation but you can't fill a Roxis core with your own mana, in other words mana can come out but cannot go back in.

Normally when a Roxis core is drained of the mana inside it will become black instead of light green or dulled green.

Many choose to not collect them as Roxis who are hunting for cores will search for it.

Apparently deep in dungeons There are Beings called The Roxis they are entities made of pure Mana that take the form of the fluctuating mana.

Most lay dormant until someone or something invades their territory or in rare cases they will leave their dungeon and follow the flow of mana to other highly mana concentrated areas.

there they will fight another Roxis and whoever wins would eat the others core the Roxis would become addicted to concentrated mana and seek out other Roxis...

Rumor has it that one time a Roxis ate four other cores and became an insanely strong being not even 3 Viis together could take it down, it wandered through Beraiizi devouring everything in its way, when Death came to collect the souls of the dearly departed, the Roxis happened upon Death and tried to devour her, Death ended up eating the Roxis... what death left behind was a core 3 times bigger than a normal Roxis core it would later be called a Xion Core and that Roxis was called a Xion-Roxis, everyone in the kingdom agreed that it is just a story as no one has seen the Xion Core.

"We have 2 Roxis cores, 2 Gold Pieces, 4 Adamantium and 4 Steel, and 3 Iron left." after buying the wagon, shoes, blankets, food, inn space and gave two steel to the villagers staying together for food and a place to sleep

We didn't really do anything today besides go around and buy and repair equipment as most of our armor and weapons were destroyed after the fight with the Vitas-Moria, no matter where we walked Dia was drinking in the wagon.

Anastasia got 2 new daggers and throwing knives, Paul got new armor and a new broadsword, Ares got a shortsword and new armor along with throwing knives, Brooke visited the magic store and bought some books, I got light armor and a shortsword to move faster but I didn't understand why I would need it as I wouldn't be fighting in my own body anyways.

The group told me to just quiet down and get the equipment, Ares and Brooke looked at me with a concerned and forceful glare when I said I didn't need the armor.

We all went back to the inn to get some sleep as we would be heading into the Cursed land of the Bathalli Hills to search for the 2 villagers who escaped from the goblins tomorrow, we are also going to clear more camps of goblins, and make our way to Gathri Village.
