Chapter 12: The monster hidden in the Darkness
"Leveled up 5 times" I said to my open status window
"546% geez I only killed 2 Goblins and 5 Hobgoblins, Hobgoblins must be worth a lot of experience although they were still weak...
I wonder how far Brooke leveled after killing 6 Vampire Goblins." I said thinking about how strong Brooke will become after she levels up.

"Wow my intelligence jumped pretty high, which means brookes is going to be even more unbelievable... it's pretty scary honestly." I said to myself
We left Goburi Village at around 12 in the afternoon
I had used my skill while we were in the wagon travelling towards Bathalli Hills, about 40 minutes from Goburi Forest we found a small Goblin camp and 2 older women around 40, the Goblins hadn't touched defiled them however they did have bruises, and the battle ended fast so it would be pretty hard to explain how we handled them but the short version is there was 1 Hobgoblin and 4 Goblins, Anastasia and Paul infiltrated the camp fast and killed all of them pretty fast, as far as I know they didn't use any skills and just killed them with quick sword precision.
Paul bragged about killing one more than Anastasia which obviously means he killed 3 of the enemy but Anastasia said the Hobgoblin counted as 2 therefore they were at an equal kill count.
Paul laughed because they could both kill the Hobgoblin as easy as they kill normal Goblins, so he didn't believe the Hobgoblin should count as 2 Goblins.
well we got the 2 women into the wagon and began moving further into the Bathalli Hills, at first they were terrified with my decision however they changed their mind when they thought about how strong we appeared.
They stayed calm until we came across 3 Vampire Goblins and they thought we would let them pass but when I asked our teammates to let me test my Soul Corruption on the Vampire's the 2 women wanted to get out of the wagon and run but we calmed them down.
By now 2 hours had passed and it was 2 in the afternoon
I convinced them to just sit back and watch, I used my Soul corruption and flew up into the air so I could enter the one in the back since they were walking in a triangle formation.

They had two Vampire Goblins in the front and 1 Vampire in the back, when I entered I was so happy that I could control them now however the first memory I saw quickly made me lose my happiness, I noticed memories of the murder of 1 man and the rape and murder of a girl... damn I hate these kind of memories.
I tried to find any memories of living survivors and I did, it was bright outside when 1 women in her 20s ran with 2 children into this cave to escape the chasing Vampires, for some reason the Vampire's stopped and didn't enter the cave.
I searched through the memories of the cave to be able to find out what was inside but the Vampire didn't have any visual memories, (this could also mean that the vampire was told not to go into this area as it is the territory of a strong monster however Gabriel was looking for a memory of the Vampire looking at whatever was in the cave and since the vampire had never seen it, Gabriel would not find out this way.)
It was in the morning but I'm unsure if it was this morning or a different morning in any case I wanted to explore this cave quickly.
I quickly unsheathed my sword and cleaved off one of the heads of the Vampire's head but it didn't die it just fell lifeless on the floor and the other vampire turned towards me as an enemy.
I laughed and said "It was a joke he can't die so I thought it would be funny, look at his body looking for his head... that's hilarious."
It lowered its guard and looked at the decapitated Vampire Goblin looking for its head
"Hahahaa that is pretty fu..." I cleaved his head off as well
I walked up on The headless Vampire goblins knocked them down on their fronts and used their swords to stab through their back to keep them from moving towards their heads I then grabbed their heads and put them next to their bodies but beyond arm's reach and I did this for both Vampires as they didn't have any oxygen flowing through their lungs they couldn't talk.
I then laid down on my front and waited for Paul to stab my sword through my back so the Vampire wouldn't be able to move when I left the body, Brooke walked up to us and I slammed the ground before leaving the body to signal that she could burn the bodies in 2 seconds.

After I banged the ground I left the body fast so I wouldn't get burned either.
the 2 women saw the vampires easily dealt with and had no problem following us and kept a calm head no matter how many enemies we came across.
Now that I think about it there should only be 5 villagers left and 2 of them headed to the Bathalli Hills and 3 headed into the cave to our right, I told the group about the woman in her 20s and the 2 children and they said lets hurry up then we don't want to lose anybody else.
It was 3 in the afternoon now and it was still really bright outside however clouds were gathering overhead.
We headed towards the cave, and when we got to it the time changed to about 3:30 in the afternoon and it was silent inside and the clouds had begun blocking out the sun and was going to rain soon.
So before we headed inside, I asked Brooke if it were possible for her to create fire in her hand without using fireball and use it as our torch so we could see our surroundings, she didn't nod she just extended her hand and a small fireball appeared in the palm of her hand and it flickered as she tried to control it but it stayed active for about 3 minutes but then died out and then she hugged me and signaled that she had learned a skill called fire mastery.
we entered the cave using Brooke as our torch and the walls had claw marks, some with 4 marks others with 5 close together repeating.
"Well shit I hope it isn't the mark of the animal I am thinking of, let's move with caution it's possible the villagers are already dead or left the cave already." I said with a cautious tone
as we went further in, there were bones of big animals and small animals scattered all around the place and some humanoid as well. there were many bones, which indicated whatever lived in this cave didn't like visitors and dealt with them as such.
"Keep your eyes peeled I don't want to die in a cave" Paul said laughing
I will let you kiss me if you let me kill you here, it will be worth it I promise Paul.
All you have to do is ask nicely... wouldn't want you to die without kissing a woman at least once. Anastasia said messing with Paul
"Haha thanks but I have grown to like Brooke and Ares more than you, they talk less and aren't so confrontational, get one of them to give me a deep kiss on the right place and you got yourself a deal." Paul said insulting Anastasia with his normal smile
"Aww that's disgusting Paul" Anastasia said while Ares looked at him like he was filthy, Brooke paid it no mind as she was busy looking at Gabriel.
Brooke had to reset the torch 4 times now as close to 12 minutes had passed
"Guys shut up and focus, I think I heard something up ahead" I warned the others
4 seconds later I heard what sounded like steps however there was a tiny clicking sound as well and when the enemy came into sight I breathed a surprised sigh...
"I sure wasn't expecting a small drake, the claws would match up if it scratched the same area again... well whatever mystery solved get ready guys." I said
"When suddenly a brown entity fell from the top of the cave, I thought it was a rock at first however changed my mind soon enough.
It was the color of a dark brown and grey texture, it opened up right before it landed and crushed the drake but the drake lived, surprised and scared it let out a death screech and tried to throw the large being off its back however the object on its back reached under its neck with 2 arms and squeezed tight enough to rip off the Drake's head."
After the death of the Drake, it looked in our direction, what we saw was a gigantic sized enemy just over 400 cm so close to 13 feet. It's arms rested on the sides of its body but what we counted was 4 arms, they were all pretty big.
Its legs were big and it had a tail that extended to be a little longer than 220 cm which meant 7 feet. and it looked dangerous.
I have a map that I am using in reference to where I'm going but I imagine it's hard to visualize these places I might upload a picture of the map I have drawn, it's a shitty drawing but it will help you understand what I am talking about.
Thank you "Pally320" as you helped me out a lot when you sent me the code guide
