It feels like there is more to be said, next chapter I will have a lot of fighting scenes and the couple next chapters I will give the Characters back stories.

Chapter 4: The status window

Yui lead us back to the summoning chambers and there they were 5 big crystals hovering over the ground, red, blue, yellow, white, and black from left to right. She told us to go walk towards them and we would walk end up in front of our corresponding crystal.

As we walked towards them I felt no pull from the crystals but Paul had walked directly towards the red one, Anastasia towards the yellow one, Brooke walked towards the blue one, and Shiro walked towards the white one, and so I walked straight towards the black one and as soon as we all stood in front of the crystals we all raised our hands and as soon as we touched the crystals the lights in them ignited... well all but mine right away, mine just flickered off and on, 4 times before it stayed on...

"They have never flickered before, that is quite strange, well looks like Paul is leadership material... creepy, Brooke is dedicated, Anastasia is courageous, Shiro is pure, and Gabriel is strong." Yui said as if it were a matter of fact

"Weird I thought I would be with the black crystal... you know cause the universe isn't racist at all. I also thought so because Gabriel seems better fit to lead than myself." Paul said as he pulled his arm back from the red crystal

"Okay now come over here and I will show you how to activate your status windows" Yui said as she walked over to the walls next to the crystals.

"So I take it we just think about something like 'command status window open' or 'open status window' and it will just pop up?" I asked Yui in a curious tone

"Umm no that would be ridiculous you can't just make things poof into thin air, well I mean you can if you are a conjurer class however in order to bring up your status window you need to touch

something solid and flat and pour mana into the object or surface and it should just be imprinted on the surface or object." Yui explains in a very descriptive manner

"So just pour our mana into an object or surface and it will appear, wont it vandalize property or something? What if we don't want to show anyone else our status window?" I say as if it's a bother and smile at her.

"It will not vandalize any object or surface as the status window will only stay on that object or surface as long as you continue to channel your mana into it, also your mana and health will not appear on the Status window, you will know if you are close to running out of mana if you suddenly start feeling nauseas." Yui says while smiling happily as she probably feels she's being useful.

"I don't mean to pry and I don't necessarily want to see your stats but can you show us how to open it? also explain to us what you feel when using your mana to open it, so we have a better understanding of what to do." I asked as I feel I learn more effectively if I am shown rather than told and I kind of wanted to see her stats.

"So Yui showed us her Status window as she opened it on the wall just next to us, and says 'in order to feel the presence of mana you don't need to look very far there is mana in all living things as well as the air that we breathe,' mana is something hard to feel for the people of this world however many who understand it, have the ability to pass it on to others so for example our Court Wizard can teach others how to better control it. so you can understand how he is a very useful commodity for our kingdom

(the sound of something charging and then exploding)

"It is possible to hide your Stats, Level, and Class and even have them display whatever you want them to, however it takes a lot of training." Yui explained

"I noticed you're a priestess of Voore? who is he or she?" I asked in a curious tone, I was also taken aback a little as I assumed she would be stronger.

"Voore is a holy relic of the old Gods before they were addicted to power and deemed themselves the only existence that deserves to live on this planet."

"Yeah... what the hell is with these skills..." I comment again without thinking

She scowls at me and says in an angry tone

"There is nothing wrong with my skills! THEY ARE ALL NORMAL!" She yells at me and then walks faster to distance herself from me.

"Oh no wait I meant it as if your skills seem really amazing, I didn't mean it as an insult." I quickly try and convince her

"Really?!?! you mean it you weren't making fun of me? I am always bullied because The relic or Voore is seen as the weakest among all of the old Gods relics." She says cheerfully while blushing a little bit

"I think they make fun of you because you are way too beautiful compared to them and they are just jealous." Paul says and winks at her

"hehe Thank you oh great hero Paul but please don't joke around" she says trying to deflect any sexual sense directed towards her.

"Hahaha I mean it, you are so beautiful that has to be the reason they bully you." He says trying to reassure her

"You can't possibly know that as you have never seen these women, I am positive a horn dog like you would give up on me the second you saw one of them." She shouts and delivers a glare that could drop a black bear.

"OH I JUST UNLOCKED VOORE'S BLOODY CHILLING GLARE!!! YAY THANK YOU SO MUCH PAUL." She shouts excited happy she just unlocked a skill, as she probably just forgot how she unlocked it.

"Anyways I have to go fulfill my duties as a priestess as I have already given you all the necessary items required for training, I will give you some advice if you go out to fight make sure you know the risks of using your mana as if you use too much you will faint and the monsters will kill you undoubtedly, if the enemy is a Goblin, Troll, or Orc they may have their way with you..."

"So be careful!" She warns us of the dangers of overusing our mana and also the dangers of the beast like monsters with no moral compass

Tomorrow I will go and fight the goblins of Goburi Forest just north of here.
