《Project Felia》Volume 3 Chapter 2 - A Journey of a thousand miles

As the transportation was under way, there were two mysterious characters up in the hills, waiting…
“Are you sure about this?”
“No, but we don’t got any other plans or options, just keep your eyes open and head down”
One big guy completely hidden in a raid clock as well as the younger girl next to him. The rain was splashing down on them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Everyone ok?” The platform stopped and the big mountain entrance was in front of us, we could see a big open field of nothing but dead black trees, rain, mud and lightning.
“Let’s do that again!” Cortez was eager.
“I hate transportation” Elisa appeared nauseous, but not as much compared to Odin who was leaning over railing and vomiting.
“How you holding up Odin?” He fell down on his knees, breathing heavily.
“Not so goooo---!” He quickly got back up and kept vomiting.
There was a door on the side of the platform for us to exit, we headed down and outside.
“Wait up, here take this travelers as a token of our gratitude!”
Lighning resist kit added!
“Thank you!”
“Try not to get hit by the lightning would you? If you are headed to the main city you have to follow the one and only road over there.
The miner pointed at a long road a bit downhill from where we were standing.
“If you need to rest up there are some checkpoints along the way that, a place to rest up while being under a lightning resistant roof, but I must warn you, this road is long, you might meet creatures you have to eliminate on the way, the lightning resist does not absorb all the damage, it is just something you should have applied to your gear if you don’t want to get killed in one hit.

Safe travels!”
“Thanks for the heads up”
We applied the lightning resistant to our gear as the cold resist got replaced. The lightning resist also added a raincoat that would cover us from the rain.
“Well, that was some reassuring news” Odin gave the impression of fright.
Cortez leaned over him.
“Don’t worry kiddo, just take a deep breath, with me. Breath, exhale, breath, exhale, good good.”
“The air sure is refreshing I have to say that, even though it’s dangerous as hell here” Elisa didn’t seem scared at all, but I think she was faking it.
“Sure you don’t need someone to protect you from this bad weather?” Cortez got really close to Elisa.
“Back off you goof!” She pushed him backwards.
Cortez was smiling as he was just goofing around like he always do.
“Let’s get down from here and see what the road looks like up close, maybe we meet someone along the way.”
We headed down the hill and at the beginning of the road was a little roof and a huge warning sign.
“Don’t proceed unless you want to risk getting hit by lightning or stumble upon unfriendly entities. Many players never reach the city, you have been warned!”
We all read the sign in silence as we past by.
The rain was pouring down on us again once we steep out of the roof shelter.
We could see the next checkpoint a long way ahead of us, but it was at the end of eyesight, we had no idea how many checkpoints we had to get through.
“No one is here huh? Wonder what kind of entities we will meet, maybe the wraiths again” Odin again was the guy to break the silence.
We were all lost in our thoughts, thinking of the road ahead, the only thing I could think of was if Celia made it through here, then I had to as well.

“Probably, but we can take care of that easily, right?”
“We are 4, ofcourse we can take care of them, no problem”
“Elisa you are not helping much in the fights though” Cortez put both hands behind his head as he said it in a weird way.
“Shut up stupid!” She hit him in the back of his head.
“Ouch, why do you always hit me?”
“Humf”
I could see something up ahead. I stopped moving.
“Sky? What is it?” I didn’t answer Odin, they all noticed something approaching us.”
“Get ready, something’s coming, Elisa stay behind me”
“Yea!”
3 black horses with raiders on them came running at us, there was a dark trail following them as they were running.
The knights we really tall and the sword they were wielding were the size of claymores!
“Let’s get one each ok? Once finished help the next one, get ready!”
They got really close, I turn invisible before they got to close, I reappeared behind him and shived him in the neck and off the horse.
Cortez shot a fire arrow at the knight he was fighting and it killed off his horse.
Odin jumped forth and slashed the horses’ legs.
All the knights were on the ground.
“Die! Hahaha!” The knight I was fighting was on his back, but he managed to punch me backwards as I was trying to strike him for the second time.
Elisa threw a gooey bottle on him to slow him down as he was getting up.
Cortez and Odin seemed fine.
As I got back up I used my disappear to gain invisibility again, I snuck behind him and shived him once more, then I followed up with a flurry of strikes that penetrated his armor, I noticed no blood, but only dark mist coming out, but his health dropped sufficiently.
These new daggers sure packs a good punch.
The knight turned around with his claymore trying to hit me, I barley dodged it, if it wasn’t for the goo on his body I would probably get hit.
As I was going in for another strike I noticed Odin getting hit by lightning in the middle of his fight, stunning him as he got knocked back with full force by the claymore strike.
Elisa ran over to Odin and helped him of the ground.
“Cortez!”
I landed a kick in the knights chest, making him stumbe backwards Cortez reacted to my shout, he shot the knight clean through his helmet as I could see the arrow in the helmet.
The knight died, but the armor and weapon just fell on the ground. The dark essence disappeared.
Cortez was still fighting, after helping me he had to dodge the knight he was fighting.
I had to help Odin with his fight.
“You ok, Odin?” Elisa was dragging Odin backwards in the dirty mud.
“I can’t use my ability that grants me immense strength, I am still too weak from last time”
The knight was approaching Odin, I reappeared behind him and shoved my dagger down his neck as he fell to his knees.
The knight was already a bit damaged from Odin so he wasn’t so hard to finish off with my combo of quick strikes.
The knight died in the same way as the last one.
“You guys alright?” Cortez went towards us as he was balancing an arrow on his finger tip.
Odin got back up and we headed towards the first checkpoint.

“You think they have noticed?”
“No, not yet, our time is soon here, be prepared”

The Amazing Sidekick
Jack Snyder died on Earth during a car accident. Time went by, and he heard a girl’s voice calling Nozomu Shinchaku. Jack slowly opened his eyes and an unknown girl was crying in front of him, but everything about her was wrong. Long blue hair, yellow eyes, cat ears instead of normal Human ears. Jack glanced at her hand and saw sharp and long fingernails caressing his face. A fluffy blue tail was trembling behind her, signalling her worries. Jack saw a pool of blood on the ground near a rock, and he had a big bandage on his head. Strangely, his soul travelled to a young boy’s body, that judging by the pool of blood, died because of that rock. Now, he has to learn how to live in a strange Magical World as the Human teenager Nozomu Shinchaku that strangely can’t use Magic, and Magic has no effect on him. . “Definition of sidekick: - A sidekick is someone who goes with the main lead on their adventures. If he is a superhero, the sidekick helps fight crime. Sometimes this word signifies an imbalance of power, and it implies that the sidekick is less powerful than the main lead. - Sidekick is one of the most effective forms of attack in a street fight. Hard kicks especially to the knee can take a larger opponent down or at least blow out his balance, leaving him vulnerable to follow-up shots.” *I intend on keeping this story free till it's finished.*
